So much for AAA Auto Service on McGinnis Ferry Rd in Johns Creek, GA., the business I always thought was above board and didnt screw their customers. Got a coupon in the mail from them for free oil changes for my wife, daughters and me, Being a member I took my vehicle there for service. When I arrived the guy advised the coupon only covered a certain # quarts of oil and my vehicle required more which I was fine with. The AAA Rep advised I could then use regular oil and go 5K miles before the next oil change or I could pay extra and get the synthetic oil and go 7.5K miles before the next change. I agreed to the 7.5K change, left my vehicle and came back an hour later, picked my vehicle up and on the way home noticed the sticker they put on my windshield showed my next oil change to be 5K miles. Curious, I called them and they gave me the old line, our guy made a mistake and put the wrong milage on the sticker. I accepted that as anyone can make a mistake. Well a week later, my daughter went to have her oil changed with another free oil change coupon. She had hers changed and when we went to pick her vehicle up, they tried to charge her for the FREE oil change. Guess what their excuse was? Oh, we made a mistake. I can accept one mistake out of a service business, but when you go back and additional crap happens, you have some choices. 1) it was truly a mistake due to their laissez-faire service, 2) their employees arent being supervised and are untrained or 3) they are scamming people. Youve been warned. Make your own decision. I wont be back.

Originally, I tried to make an appt. for an oil change via your web site (1st week of Feb.). I received an email reply that said I would get a confirmation from the location I chose. That never happened...even after I sent another email asking for confirmation. I decided to call instead of emailing. I told the rep I had a coupon and asked if tire rotation and air pressure check/adjust was part of the service. I was told it was as I was a AAA member. When I arrived and asked about the rotation and air check I was told it was not included because it wasnt on the coupon. ;-( After the service, I noticed the mileage on the receipt and window sticker was off by 1000 miles. Minor items you say...?? Perhaps, but they indicated a pattern of poor customer service in your administrative processes. Hope this helps you improve them.

The AAA people are great. They are great with trip planning but this location is one of the AAA Car Care locations as well. It will be great to see these roll out to the rest of the USA. I have taken my car to numerous places in Atlanta. AAA informed me of a CV boot that needed to be replaced. I told them I knew of it but it was too expensive. The Master Mechanic told me that they could discount the service through AAA and said “why don’t we replace the whole excel. That way you get a better fix and the cost was less than the other quotes I received for just the boot from other places. The fact that if my car breaks down and in they can tow it to a AAA car care shop where they can review everything that has been done to my car and give me the AAA discount is a great thing.

Since you asked; not only was I not satisfied - I was offended by the your customer representative - Daniel. The service you performed resulted in damage to the pressure sensors in two tires. Daniel admitted that the pressure gauge used was defective resulting in over inflation, but he was unwilling to correct the situation and laughingly advised me to "go ahead" and contact my Toyota dealer when I proposed that alternative. The Toyota dealer confirmed that the faulty service was the probable cause of the sensor failure that Daniel wanted me to believe was merely a "coincidence". At this point the only recommendation I can offer is for friends and family to steer clear of AAA Car Care unless you are willing to take this situation seriously and offer a remedy.

Service performed on my car was great! However, the customer service was less than ideal. I went in for a free oil change (as they say to gain my business), yet even with a scheduled appointment I waited over 2 hours to get my oil changed. Speaking with another customer in the waiting area, I found that I wasnt the only one waiting that amount of time. Plenty of workers around, not sure what the back up was about. Also, the clerk was more concerned with talking it up with his co-workers than focusing on my needs. I know everyone wants a friendly environment with their co-workers, but when working with a customer, less chatter (about non work related topics) is best. I will not be using this facility for my future car care needs.

There is no ethics. I went for oil change, I asked the representative go with the basic oil which Nissan recommends i.e. 5W30. When I received the final bill I was charged $70 for oil change alone. He put 0W20 and called out my engine cap was having 0W20. When I checked engine cap there was no marking on what oil to use then he said my owners manual will have the recommended one as 0W20. Gwinnett Nissan Dealer Service (where I use to do my service always) suggested 5W30 for my car and vehicle owners manual also recommends 5W30. Later the representative was showing the AAA system and stated 0W20 is what listed first in their options. Why to bluff the engine cap was having 0W20 and the owners manual recommends 0W20?

I went to the Johns Creek, GA location to purchase a (1) day Magic Kingdom ticket. I purchased it at AAA to save me time from having to buy it at Disney. Much to my dismay… when my family and I arrive to scan our tickets, the one I have is not for Magic Kingdom but my husband and two kids thankfully have the magic kingdom tickets. So here I am standing at the gate and am told I have to turn around and go to guest relations and stand in line for guest services to get it corrected. I specifically told the AAA rep that I wanted a Magic Kingdom ticket. Please look at your ticket to make sure that you receive what you ask for- very disappointed.

I went into the AAA to get a Trip Tik. The service lady was very cordial and helpful. She explained some of the acronyms used in the Trip Tik and suggested that, when I see signs that state "No gas for the next xxx miles", to take heed and get gas, if my tank is relatively low. She also gave me some maps that were related to the course that I was taking. The Trip Tik is generated via computer, so the time involved to put it together was short. After reviewing the course that was outlined, it looked very reasonable. The real test will be in the actual travel. I have previously used AAA for other Trip Tiks and I have had no problems.
