We arrived home a month ago from the RIU Palace on Paradise Island. We made our plans with Nicole at Travel Brokers. She really pumped us up about the trip, which was our honeymoon. We had purchased the honeymoon package because we wanted something special, you know, a once in a lifetime trip. I am posting this so if you go there you will be properly informed, not fed untruths. Basically, we were built up for a let down, but still enjoyed being away with each other. Many of the amenities we were told by Nicole would be included were non existent. There was no snorkeling equipment, no scuba, all water sports with the exception of motorized equipment meant swimming in the ocean was free, there were no other water sports such as kayaking or canoeing. We were told room service was available 24/7. Room service had 7 cold pre-packaged items. We were told no tips were allowed, everyone, and I mean everyone from the time we were picked up at the airport, which we had to search for our ride, expected a tip, everyone. The wonderful "day trip" to the island, no one had heard of, then when we saw the boat they used, we decided not to go; oh, and it cost $40 to back and forth from the hotel to town. The full bar in our room was a joke; 4 beers, 2 cokes, 2 diet cokes, 2 spites and 4 bottles of cheap liquor hanging on the wall. . There was no honeymoon package, no $40 spa certificate, obviously no room upgrade, in fact they said "put that thing away", when I reached for the marriage license I made sure to bring as instructed by Nicole. The Bohemian people appeared to not like Americans, and made rude comments about our politics, which is the last thing we want to hear about or discuss on vacation. The staff was rude and seemed unhappy. Nicole also told us the hotel was practically brand new, it was built in 1982 and was in need of a face lift. Nicole was right about one thing, the ocean was beautiful.

We booked a cruise several years ago and more recently a trip to Vegas. In both cases the Travel Brokers did an excellent job. The price was right and the service excellent. Answered all our questions. Very easy to work with. Initially I tried doing it myself online but I had so many questions I decided to call them instead. We then worked back and forth by email. Very satisfied.

They do not return calls for quotes on air or hotels. They are only interested in the big money vacations. They add commission back into the price of the trip. Use another travel agency or do it yourself online or through the vendor itself. They have lost a lot of good travel agents becuase of how they pay and treat their travel agents.

I have been using Travel Brokers over 20 years. They are very friendly and easy to work with and always find me great prices. They are also very good at making trip recommendations. Travel Brokers have many helpful agents and they have all done a great job for me. I recommend them highly.
