Went on a Sunday morning to get an oil change and rotate the tires. The store opened at 10 AM. I arrived at 10 AM. The manager was very polite. His mechanic was late to work. So, we left the car. After picking up the cara couple of hours later, a rattling noise developed in the front area. Took car back. My vehicle has laregr tires in the rear and smalller tires up front. This model comes standard with different sized tires, not an aftermarket thing.... The proper way to rotate these tires is from side to side, not front to rear. The mechanic did not know this ( or did not bother pay attention ) and incorrectly put the bigger tires up front and moved the smaller ones to the rear. This could have caused significant damage. You would think an auto service whose main business is tires, would have properly trained mechanics on duty. Again, the manager was very polite regarding the error. We both spoke to the mechanic; he was busy in the parking lot chatting up a female & seemed to lazy to care about his incompetence... Later at home, I discovered a loose panel under the car that I imagine was removed to access the oil filter area. I tightened that back up on my own. Overall, I was not satisfied with the work on my car.

I took my car in because it failed emissions test. First, they charged my $90 just for "diagnosis". That was insane. They told me I needed a new downstream O2 sensor and a "tune-up" totaling at $680. So, I did some researched and found out these guys are crooks. They were asking $150 for the O2 sensor, Advanced Auto Parts has the same part for $50. Then they wanted $90 for labor cost. I found a video online of a guy who changed it in 10 minutes. Then, to rub salt in my wound, they wanted $300 for a "tune-up". That was a joke, right? Seriously stay away from this place. Our family has been doing business here for over 10 years, and weve recommended plenty of our friends. Ever since Pep Boys bought the store and Glen left, its been a joke. The new manager Mitch, wasnt helpful at all and tried to make it seem like the prices were fair. Obviously, we wont be back. If your car has a problem, Google it first.

I took my Jeep in because the front brakes were making noise. They charged me $14 just to look at the Jeep! After an hour they suggested that I replace everything, brake pads, calipers, and even rotors on both sides. Total was $835! I said no thanks and they gave me a printed invoice estimate with all fees and charges listed out. I took the printed estimate across the street to Kauffman tire in front of Kmart. The gentleman laughed at all the bogus charges on the estimate and after a few moments searching on his work computer, he stated that his guys could do the same job for $570. I believe the thing that made it worse were bogus charges that he pointed out on the invoice estimate from pepboys. Example each caliper was broken down in parts on paper and each part had its own charge as well as labor! Stay away from pepboys in PTC

I have a custom car, but after seeing the mechanics there have them as well, as well as familiarity with brands for aftermarket parts, I decided to give them a shot. I can tell you that the alignment they did was butter smooth. During car repairs from a not-at-fault accident at the manufacturer dealership, I got the alignment done at the same time. It felt horrible from day one there. I didnt even realize that it was the reason I was having issues. The alignment done at this pep boys is worth twice the price they charge you, the only other place I have had that did such a great alignment is Gran Turismo East in Atlanta. Labor for other work can be expensive though, but that is a bit expected when you deal with mechanics. I suggest you shop around, but I will probably going here everytime for my alignments.

I can only tell you about my experience with pep boys today. I went in for a oil change and was giving a coupon discount from the start. The manager Mitch was on point and really looked over my car. I wanted to test their honestly so I asked if I should get a tire rotation? please keep in mind I just had four brand new tires put on 2 days ago and have put about 100 miles on them, do to all the rain they looked pretty dirty. The tech and Mitch looked at them and said they where great and to leave it be. Another oil place recommended I rotate the same tires..... I was happy with the service and price and will be going back to service my other vehicles. So if you have car/truck needs give them a chance and see for yourself the quality of work I experienced today. 11-13-15.

Excellent Customer Service! Daniel (Manager) went above and beyond to take care of me. Had an emergency and was trying to get my cat to the Vet which is next door to Pep Boys. Daniel noticed my vehicle smoking very badly as I drove by. He met me at the Vets parking lot. Knowing my situation, he offered to take my vehicle next door to Pep Boys and check it out to make sure it was safe for me to be driving it. He was AWESOME! Came over to the Vets office to discuss the problem he found and what needed to be done. He also restored my faith in humanity! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! He ordered the power steering pump, had it there and replaced by the next afternoon. Excellent job! Thank you so much Daniel and Pep Boys!!!

Been a loyal customer for years but the last few experiences have been horrible. My son went in for an oil change and when it was done his SUV started making a noise, he went back and they said he need new bearings for about $500. Went to another shop and one bearing needed to be tightened which cost 45$ and he said it was weird that it started after the visit to PB. It has been going down hill since Pep Boys took over. I am even nervous about taking cars in for the oil changes that I get coupons for. They need to bring Randy and/or Glen back to run the shop. There are a couple of great mechanics there but the corporate oversight seems to be on the upsell

worse pep boys service ever. I had my check engine light come so i decided to come here since it was close to my job. First of all they have this wannabe non professional looking female mechanic the one with the skunk looking hairdo. That cant diagnose a damn thing. After 20 min and she could not figure it out. They brought this other character out. I must say at least he knew what he was talking about. you guys need to look for better people not on the job training.

I absolutely love going to the Pep Boys in Peachtree City. Mitch and his crew are the best. They are all friendly and they care. I have gone to a bunch of other shops and I was mistreated and spoken to poorly. But this Pepboys is amazing. I will only take my van there. Even though I am a female they treat me with respect and are super friendly. They are always up front and honest. They dont try to force me to buy parts either.
