I feel the need to warn anyone who may enter this store about the experience I just had. The store is a huge mess, the owner smells terrible, is extremely unprofessional, tried to rip me off, and Im pretty sure he tried to steal from me too. I needed a cable for an external hard drive. I knew it should cost about $5 after looking several places online. He didnt know what kind of cable I needed when I asked, so he told me to just bring in the hard drive. I get to the store, and he isnt there. After calling the store several times, he finally walks up and asks if Im the guy who needs the hard drive cable. He tells me he left to buy a lottery ticket and he actually left his keys at the gas station and needed me to give him a ride to retrieve them. He was barefoot, and he absolutely REEKED when he got in my car. It smelled like several days since his last shower. We get inside and his store looks more like a hoarder house. Nothing is new, nothing is in packages, its just old, dirty, broken junk everywhere with no organization whatsoever. He comes back with a cable and plugs it into a hard drive. I supposed he just wanted to test it, but then I noticed him browsing through the files and realized it was MY hard drive he was looking through. He says out loud, "You dont have anything I would be interested in." Who does this guy think he is? The stuff I have is just that; MY STUFF, I dont care how interested you are. He then makes a comment about how fast USB 3.0 copies and asks to copy a file to demonstrate. I tell him "No, Id really rather you didnt," but he starts copying a file anyway. I step closer and notice that its my copy of Windows Server 2008 and snatch the cable out of his computer. Windows Server is not easy to find, nor is it cheap. If all he wanted to do was "demonstrate" he could have chosen one of my word documents. The only reason to copy that file is to keep it after I leave. He then tried to charge me $10 for his used cable. I left immediately before I lost my temper. When I called the store to explain why I left so quickly, he threatened to get rude, so I hung up and blocked his number. He then called me from a private number to leave me a voicemail. I have a feeling it is not an apology. This guy smells terrible, doesnt wear shoes, doesnt know anything about computers, tried to rip me off, invaded my privacy, and tried to steal from me. DO NOT GO HERE!

Earl is an elderly, talkative gentleman who is very knowledgeable about computers. However, certain customers may find his personality to be rather abrasive. The computer wiz struggles to remain up-to-date with the latest technology, reportedly nearly causing irreparable damage to a motherboard by trying to forcibly remove the processor socket, only to realize it must be unscrewed first. If you ever order computer parts from the store, save yourself some time and hassle, because you wont find any discount in Earls services. It is likely he will use your parts to run tests on other computers littering his store without your knowledge or consent. As the main worker of the business which he owns, Earls struggles to meet deadlines. The most disappointing experience is his lack of honesty, through the half-truths he tells his customers in order to buy extra time on delaying projects. No-nonsense customers will find themselves sweet-talked with false hopes of on-time service completion. In terms of promises, the owner oversells and underdelivers. After much pain, you may find yourself quite pleased with the end-product. Earl puts his heart into his work, which borders on obsession. If you dont mind being syphoned into an off-topic conversation for hours and are in no rush to retrieve your electronics, DataCorp may be the shop for you. Conversely, if you are inexperienced in dealing with very difficult individuals, the professionalism of name-brand services like Geek Squad may be worth the extra cost.

The owner Earl is a very personable, likeable guy who I feel does good business with people and cares about his customers. I can understand, how to some, he may come off as demeaning, but he really is not. Just dont take any perceived negative comments towards you seriously as he just likes to joke a lot, and I dont think he wants to hurt anyones feelings. And whatever things he may say that you could perceive as demeaning are few and far between anyway, and for the most part I think he comes off very respectful, but I just wanted to respond to earlier comments posted here by some. My computer was becoming so seriously slow (though it was slow to begin with) and I was having very bad problems on the internet. He worked wonders with it and made it faster than he even promised. He answered every question I had in detail and told me to call him if I had any problems or questions afterwards. I recommend him to my friends when they have computer trouble.

:::::::::DO NOT GO HERE:::::::::: This place doesnt deserve a half a star. I came to pick up my computer at 6pm and had to leave and come back because he wasnt there. I get back at 6:30 and he couldnt find the computer. I waited 30 minutes while he looked. Keep in mind he knew I was coming because I called a day ahead to get him prepared for my coming in. After we he found it, he had to do more downloading which took an hour! The owner was very rude. He treated me like I was ignorant. He kept correcting my grammar and tried to give me a lesson on how to pronounce my words. All to avoid answering my questions. He yelled at me loudly because it was almost closing time and I was asking too many questions that could wait until the morning. He wouldnt explain to me what he did to fix my computer issues. The biggest mistake here was me walking into this dump. It smelled like death in the store and he smelled worse.
