We just had an ice/snow storm so no mail was delivered, which is understandable. However, I had two packages I needed before tomorrow for my father who is going out of town, and so I called and spoke with a lovely young woman who pulled the packages for me and said I could come get them in case they couldnt deliver today (its still very icy). I went to get the packages, and when I approached the woman pulling packages, I started to explain to her what the woman on the phone told me. She proceeded to not look up at me, and held up a package receipt in my face without saying a word. Therefore, I told her again and before I could finish she interrupts me and says "I need your drivers license". After she left to find the packages, another woman came up to the counter using the computer. When the first woman came back, the second said "oh, thats the one I was telling you about" and proceeded to snicker. I asked the second woman if she was the one I spoke with and she goes "No" in a curt tone and didnt even look directly at me. So, either the post office tells their workers not to make eye contact, or they were making fun of me when my packages were brought to the counter. Too bad government businesses dont operate on a customer rating system, otherwise our postal system would be WAY better with much nicer people.

Any time I have been in this post office, I have had to wait in awful lines. Yesterday, I went in with a paper saying that I needed to come by to pick up a package. When I entered, there were 4 clerks at the desk and 5 people waiting in line. When I was next in line, there was only 1 clerk left and about 15 people in line. The other clerks had walked away. They would come walking thru looking down at the ground and walk back out of sight. Turns out, they had put the paper in my mailbox by mistake and I drove out there and wasted 20 minutes of my time for nothing. Very disappointing to say the least. Update: Went in today as the office opened to ask for them to hold a package. Had tried calling multiple times without them answering so I drove out. Got there for the lady to tell me it hadnt even arrived when the tracking clearly said as the post office at 3:42am. When I showed her the tracking she said it was a bulk shipment and it hadnt been sorted. She then said that if I wanted them to hold it, they were only open till 12:00 and I wouldnt be able to pick it up at all. Im just tired of this place, no wonder UPS and FedEx are doing so well, this place makes it easy.

The counter workers at Woodstock Post Office, consistently greet me with a smile; they always appear personable, cheerful & willing to do whatever necessary to make their customers shipping experience easy. The line is rarely long in the afternoon, when I go. Ive stopped in on several occasions to p/u a package and left my ID sitting out in my truck. Im always told not to worry about it, as they know who I am. I recently called to ask if I could arrange for a friend to p/u a pkg for me that had been delivered 2 weeks prior & was being held behind the counter. I explained that I was out of town and didnt know when Id be back in the area. Sherri? (pretty blonde on the left end) told me to just have my friend see her & she would take care of it. I didnt need to jump through hoops, such as fill out a form or submit a letter with my signature, nor was I asked to certify my friend to act on my behalf. He was in and out quickly & wasnt required to prove his relation to me. They all, especially Sherri & William, just seem to make my visit a pleasant one whenever I have to go inside & Ive never been treated like just another customer.

I may have to wait in line, but every experience is great because the postal workers are always friendly, never exasperated, and willing to answer any questions I might have. My family members and I are proud supporters of the #USPS and utilising our local post office is a pleasure and a privilege. For anyone who finds themselves in a pinch for time, there are multiple services to expedite your visit, including a drive up mail box for regular mail, an area inside the main building where you can simply drop off pre-paid/pre-weighed/pre-labeled ready to go packaging, and right inside the postal doors is a self service kiosk. The kiosk has step-by-step directions. Best of all, you can even schedule a pick up, just call and make arrangements to pick up your pre-paid/pre-weighed/pre-labeled ready to go packages. The United States Postal Service has a long, rich history and to simplify it in terms of speed compared to publicly run, for profit companies is to do a great disservice to the Pony Express and the sacrifice of ensuring that we could always count on the #USPS

If I could give it less stars I would, absolutely terrible experience. Tried to pick up package after missing it the day before. After sitting trough an hour of traffic on the way there, I was informed that I was given the wrong post office address to pick up my package and basically was told "sorry, move along" even a giggle that I got the wrong address and the one I needed to go to was already closed. I would defiantly use UPS, Fedex or hire some kid on a bike to deliver something.

Very recently, they have started to assign someone to assist people immediately when they get in line. This helps take care of quick issues and dramatically decreases wait times. It also helps better prepare people for when they make it up to the counter. I have yet to wait beyond 12 minutes for service at peak times. Shoutout to Pamela for helping me get on my way faster today. She was cordial and took care of the package immediately. THANK YOU!

Thank you so much for going out of your way and providing service beyond our expectations in retirieving a package for us that was actually sent to the worng address. After filing a case number we received an immediate call back from Pat Lankester. She kept us informed throughout the retrival process and I am happy to say our package was in our mailbox this afternoon. Thanks again for the excellent customer service.

This is the most incompetent PO I have ever had the misfortune of doing business with. They repeatedly do not deliver my mail or they send very urgent packages back to sender rather than leaving in my mailbox or at the front door. When I brought it to the supervisors attention, she dismissed it and couldnt care less. I had to get a UPS box because I cannot trust receiving my mail from this awful post office.

Have dealt with all of their staff since I ship so many eBay items, they all rock! People that have left bad reviews more than likely came in with a poor attitude. Ill wait in this line vs. other post offices because they are all so nice and helpful. Always have my wallet in mind too; appreciated! Its the people in line that think their time is more important than the rest that irritate me!
