The transmission temperature indicator came on when we would travel on the freeway for about 1 hour. Per the cars manual, we would pull over, let the engine idle for a few minutes until the light went off, then take off again. This was a consistent problem that started just recently with 205,000 miles on the car. They suggested it may be a bad sensor (since everything else checked out ok). We had the sensor replaced but have not given the car a real test yet. We did travel to the Snake Pit in Kingston from CdA one evening and the light did not come on (however I dont think that "short" trip qualifies as a genuine test). Lake City Trans service has been top notch so far. If I knew for sure that replacing the sensor was the actual fix for the problem I would give 5 stars. Once I have run the car for a true test of the sensor Ill leave another review. Thanks for your help!!

I have known the original owners of this business for 20 years and for the past couple of years I have continued to do business with the new owner and his staff. The service and quality of workmanship has not changed one bit. It is consistently outstanding. The technicians have years of experience and have received top notch training. The service coordinator, Monica is smart, engaging, and knows her stuff. They have repaired a number of my vehicles and ALWAYS been cost effective and timely in getting whatever needed to be done, done. There have been occasions where they have come in way below the estimate. Because of the skills of their Techs in diagnosing the problem and the high ethical standards of the management team, I whole heartily recommend them.

Idaho Fabricator

After only 70,000 my re-built transmission began making a noise that it should not have. I made a recording of it (because I didnt want to drive my truck in that condition) and took it into Lake City Transmission and was treated with total indifference. Another Transmission Shop was recommended to me, so I took my truck there. The mechanic checked the transmission and discovered shoddy work which included using washers as spacers instead of using the correct part needed. Other discrepancies were also noted and documented. Long story short, I now have to pay to have my transmission re-built again, this time the right way. Do NOT take your vehicle to Lake City Transmission.

Scott was very helpful when I needed to get brake work done on our car. Our trucks heater stopped working and my wife was dreading dropping it off for service. I told her to see Scott and he will make the experience easy. she dropped it off and Scott got her in a loaner vehicle and on her way quickly. She told me that evening that she was very impressed with just how easy Scott made the experience. The next day our truck was done and again picking it up didnt take long and everything was working great! Lake City Transmission and muffler has done nothing but the best quality service I have ever experienced in the car maintenance and repair industry. The staff is intelligent, polite and very nice and concerning about customers problems and issues. I have taken many cars for exhaust and transmission service including my 1970 torino gt, 1977 bronco, 2006 Dodge Ram, 2008 Cadillac and a few others. Ive had Scot service the transmissions in a couple of cars in the past. I just found out that Lake City Transmission is doing all aspects of auto repairs. I recently stopped by three shops to ask about adding some high performance equipment to my 53 F100. Scott was the only guy that new what I wanted and had no problem letting me talk with his mechanic. We will be doing the work soon. I am confident it will turn out great. Check engine light turned on in my newer car with only 35000 miles. Knudtsen chevrolet had my car for 36 hours just to get the diagnostic done and then wanted to charge me $400 and keep my car for 8 to 10 days until they could get the part and have it put in. Also wanted to charge me $38 a day for a rental car. I went to lake city auto care and they had the part in one day, fixed the car on the next business day and gave me a loaner car for free! In the end they only charged me $150! Best auto care business in my opinion. I will definitely be a return customer! Thank you lake city auto care!

I had a great experience at Lake City Auto Care. I was unable to drive my truck due to the differencial going out. They offered me one of their loaner cars before I could even have them look at my truck. My truck was looked at on a Wednesday and by Friday the repairs were made and I got my truck back in time to go on vacation the next day. I never got to meet Scott but had the greatest customer service over the phone. Just want to says thanks again for taking such good care of me and I will definitely recommend Lake City Auto Care to all of my friends and family.

I was told by another transmission shop that I needed a new transmission at a cost of $2700.00 and work on my sway bar for $225.00. A total of $2925.00. I went to Lake City Transmission for a second estimate. As it turned out I only needed a flush of my tranny fluid along with the repair of the sway bar and my total bill was $384.00. Lake City Transmission saved me $2541.00. That is incredible! Lake City Transmission is my new "go to" repair shop and I will absolutely tell all of my friends.

First of all, the free loaner service was a life saver as we had both of our vehicles in at the same time. Second, and most importantly, the staff are wonderfully helpful and friendly.
