You can trust these guys. I was in Aurora for a wedding and my wife and I had started to experience several problems with our car. Not being familiar with this area (I am from Texas) my father in law took our car in to his guy. That guy was going to charge us $800 to fix a list of things that I knew weren’t the problem. Frustrated I went and did an hr or so of online research and found this Tuffy shop to have the highest rating among Google users. I then checked their yahoo rating and found it to be excellent with the exception of one negative rating (that guy probably works for one of their competitors). I couldn’t be more pleased with the service I received. I highly recommend this shop and specifically Dean and Jason. They took me under the car and pointed out each problem and (we are cash strapped) gave me an itemized estimate in order of priority. My only regret is that I can’t give them all my business as we were not able to spend the money at that time to do all the repairs. I wish I could find someone like this in Texas. I have recommended Dean and Jason to all my friends and family that live here in this area. Dean and Jason if you guys read this, Thank you for all your help and your honesty. I don’t have the money to address the issues I was having and you guys didn’t try and take advantage of me. I hope that people will read this and now that they can trust you guys. Excellent Auto Service and Convenient Car Drop-off!! This Tuffy is 5 Stars, hands down. I brought in my 1998 Civic that just turned over 200,000 miles. Recently, I noticed my car had a very small oil leak. Jason (owner) took a look at it, and was very honest about the service I needed done. Turned out, I just needed an oil pan gasket. I used their very convenient overnight car drop-off service, and my car was ready by Noon the next day. Their mechanics are top notch as well, very professional, and courteous. One of the few service businesses that still know what "customer" service means. Our household has 3 cars, and we wouldnt take our cars to any other shop in the area. Thanks Tuffy, for the great and honest service, from the front desk to under the hood. Youve gained a loyal, repeat customer!!!!

They are so OVERPRICED. I have a 2006 Honda odyssey and replaced its high pressure power steering wheel hose. They charged me $479 after tax. Surprisingly, this is a discounted price. Initially it was more than $500 (I asked him for a discount instead of finding another shop since I was kind of in a hurry). The other day they quoted me about $600 for starter motor replacement (aftermarket), and I ended up doing it myself. If you do googling you will find their price way over the top. I wouldnt do any business with them.

I dont understand why there is no review on these guys on here but I have been going there for years and they are beyond amazing. They helped out many times. Most recently, they checked out my Nissan. Gerald Nissan told me I needed thousands of dollars to repair my low miles Nissan but these guys figured out that the problem was much simpler and fixed it for free. They have also been incredibly helpful with some of my other cars. Just one of the most incredible auto services that I ever experienced. PERIOD.

This is the only shop I bring my car to for oil changes and maintenance. Very honest and very helpful. We went through the 30K check-up on my car that the dealer recommended (and was charging a ton for) and they gave me an honest opinion about which items were necessary and I got a great price on those services. They never exaggerate wait times for service and are ready for you at the time of your appointment. The manager, Jason, is a very genuine and friendly person.

My husband dental practice is across the street from tuffys, which makes oil changes convenient. We found this place to be okay for oil changes but horrible service. Our cars WERE never ready on time and they always try to sell unnecessary service. We had our timing belt and plugs done at dealer 6 months ago and the front desk a tuffys said we needed a new timing belt and another $800 of work. Only let these people change your oil!

Im a single woman and feel very confident taking my car to this shop. They sell you only what you need. Jason and Dean both have a ton of experience and it shows in their depth of knowledge as well as customer service skills. Ive referred my sister and a whole bunch of other girlfriends. I wont take my car anywhere else. I know theyre honest with me and not taking advantage of my lack of car sense. Love this place!

The reviews are true. I have been taking our cars to Tuffy Aurora for almost 3 years now. Although we have moved about 30 mins away to Naperville, I still find time to go there. A truly honest business with great workmanship! There arent many shops which would tell you that your car didnt need something. You have all heard the stories of a $50 repair coming out to be $500 in the end. Not here!

Thank you Tuffy Staff for helping us with our van when the alternator went out. We were towed in and had no idea what to expect. We were on our way to a wedding. You went out of your way to see that it was fixed quickly. We appreciated the water and soft drinks in the lobby. You really helped us out in a jam. Thank you.

Jason, the manager, does a nice job of taking time with you, doing show and tell, and explaining your options. Excellent customer service skills. As a recently opened shop, its very clean and he seems to be working very hard to develop repeat business. I wish him well and hope to become a long term satisfied customer.

Excellent Service! I just had my 1996 Nissan emissions worked on by Aurora Tuffy. They are "Awesome"!! Very reasonable price for FANTASTIC service. Dean Mersch Mng. and Jason DeCort owner are friendly, honest and great to work with, something thats hard to find now-a-days... Thanks Much!!
