There is a lot of hype about this place and its mostly well placed. There is no disputing that the food is very good. I had a completely unique sandwich unlike pretty much anything Id ever tasted. However everything surrounding the food is pretty much standard or subpar. They have limited hours so actually getting to eat here is kind of a process. They also tend to run out of food before their closing time so theyll just close up shop whenever they are out or feel like they dont want to serve anymore. Its also in the VFW which I dont have a huge issue with but it feels like youre eating in a high school cafeteria. As Ive already said the food is definitely good but it feel like its really good lunch food at a fancy dinner price. I think my wife and I ended up spending over $30 just for just the two of us. The service was also pretty slow, I think we waited about 30-35 minutes to get our food and it took us 10-15 minutes just to order. Again great food but they really need to improve the business side of the operation.

THIS PLACE IS INSIDE THE VFW! I was just about to drive away because I knew I had to be at the wrong place. I just happened to notice that on the bumper of the BraiZe truck it said "Inside the VFW". I guess all the locals know, but Im not a local.... The service was very friendly and very fast! I ordered at Rasta and a Fat Tuesday (both on a salad and both with a side of sweet potato fries) for my husband and me to share. We enjoyed both so much, I dont think we could choose a favorite! The jerk seasoning punched me in the face with cinnamon, which I totally dug! And the Fat Tuesday was meat piled on top of delicious meat! I wasnt super impressed by the sweet potato chips - theyre so thinly cut that they crumble at the slightest touch. 80% of my chips were smaller than the size of my thumb nail. They were mildly seasoned and I happily ate the whole bag, I just wish thered been more whole chips.

Sweet. Baby. Jee. Zus. BraiZe is incredible, and is one of the few place I can get a fresh cooked vegetarian meal. Let break it down for you. It all starts with the bread. Your Brazzito comes in a solid piece of French bread, that is genuinely delicious. They hole that bad boy out into some sort of carb tube. Why? The filling. Their cleverly named specials range from a classic Buffalo to a Jamaican-jerk mastery, and the rotating vegetarian option is no after thought either. Ive had a beet-falafel hybrid, sweet potato curry, and mushroom melt to name a few. They top it off with cheese and sauce, as if you needed another reason to go. But thats not all, ladies and gentlemen. Oh no. They take the bread-capped end, dip it right into some garlic butter, and toast that mofo right then and there. They also offer chips and pickle spears, but they all sit to the side while I go to town.

I had the lobster bisque, lobster rangoons, corn fritters with honey butter, and tasted the Rasta-4-Eye. The bisque had a lighter, briny broth instead of being a heavy creamy soup. This made it a nice accompaniment to the rangoons, with the flavor of the lobster shining through. The rangoons were sweet, light, and crispy with a delicious sweet chili sauce. The fritters reminded me of when my mom would make them years ago- they were delicious. The sandwich featured Jamaican jerked chicken and an amazing yellow curry sauce. The flavours complimented and accentuated each other. An amazing meal, friendly staff and great service. I cant wait to go back! Thank you!!!

Went here for lunch due to all the great reviews and I was sorely disappointed. Food was pretty sub par and over priced. The lobster Rangoon was good (only reason for a 2) but you got 4 for 6 bucks. Not worth it. The brazito was meh. I got the jerk chicken, wife got the buffalo. Mine was ok, but had way too much oil. The wifes was downright awful. It was a mass of boiled chicken covered in sauce, sure didnt taste like a buffalo sauce Ive ever had, and she didnt even finish. RC products? Really? We spent nearly 40 bucks on lunch and it was a giant mistake. Save yourself some money and eat pretty much anywhere else in town.

Went on Tuesday with a group of women and it was trivia night. The volume was just right as we could still talk to each other. Our server Meridith was absolutely fabulous. She was patient attentive and personable. One of our friends was joining us later and it started to rain as she was arriving....another server noticed and went around to let her in another door so she wouldnt get soaked. We were impressed with the food and Loved the excellent service.

I cannot tell you enough good things about Braize. They were awesome as a pop up in the VFW, but now that they have their own space and bar, watch out. We had The Goonies and Luke Rye-Walker to start and they were perfect. Then the Royale and California Braizito for entrees and they were perfection. We will be back to their great new space frequently. It is hard to impress my husband, but Braize has done so!!

Fun new industrial-style location with tasty and unusual menu selections. Any braizito can be turned into tacos or a salad, which is a nice touch. Service is good and appetizers/desserts are fantastic. It can be loud at peak times so its more of a party / fun place than a romantic destination. Great addition to the hotel, and they offer meals for pick up!

Amazing Food! If you are in Bloomington, dont bother going anywhere else. You HAVE to try one of their very unique "Sandwiches". I use that term loosely. You will see when you get there. Delicious food. Kind of cool that it is in a VFW, but you need to get there early, the line gets long, but it is totally worth the wait!!!!!

Really good subs. I really like the fresh ingredients they use. I also like they are always rotating different ones. U think they are a tad bit high on their price but that doesnt stop me from enjoying it every once in a while. I think they have a sandwich for all taste. Expect a wait at certain times.

An outstanding meal. The staff is so friendly and willing to help you decide. They make their own giardinara (thats not something I have ever heard being done locally)!!! We will definitely come back~ Only suggestion is that Id like to see a bit more heat option added to the giardinara! :

Such a neat experience! This little sandwich place is located inside the VFW, making it a unique dining experience. I had the Bollywood (one of the specials that day) and the sweet potato chips, both of which were delicious. Would definitely come again the next time Im in Bloomington.

There were 8 flies flying around our table. Our friend ordered a meatless Braizito and there were chunks of meat still in there. The food was alright and the service was decent, but no one should pay $10 for Texas toast with with Vegetables and meat packed in them.

Some of the best food in Bloomington/Normal. Love their lobster roll, sweet potato chips, corn fritters, pretty much everything. If you are going there for lunch, get there right at 11 as the line can get pretty long.
