I love Little University!!! My 2 girls have been attending Little University since they were 3 and 4. They are now 5 and 6. I previously had my girls at Safari. After coming from there, we were in pursuit of a safe, clean and attentive facility, and staff was #1 on our list. Our experience at LU has been a complete 180. The girls would get sick what seemed like once a month…but now that they attend LU, it may be only twice a year. After the girls were at LU for a while, I wanted to know what was going on first hand. So I took the initiative and volunteered one day a week for a couple months. The staff creates an atmosphere that is educational AND fun. Each child is treated as an individual and learns at their own pace. Children get to explore and ask question as most toddler / kindergarteners do and do not get drilled to learn things. Currently, the girls are in Ms. Jennifer’s class and she is very attentive and reinforces what I am teaching them at home, e.g., stop thumb sucking, using manners, and sharing. My girls are always eager to tell me what they’ve learned during the day. The girls have become very smart and independent. So much so that my local grade school Principal says that my youngest was ready for Kindergarten at an early 4 years of age. They no longer have separation anxiety. This was a huge problem at Safari. Their language skills have improved greatly. I can have a full conversation with my children and actually understand what there are saying. I rely on the staff to aide in teaching and guiding them to be wonderful people during the 8-10 hours they are there. Overall, it has been a great experience at Little University and we could not be happier!

When selecting childcare for my daughters, my number one priority is safety. When I drop my children off I need to feel confident that they are in a safe environment and are being well cared for by educated professionals who are attentive to each child. I found such a place at Little University. I have three daughters and all of them have attended Little University. My youngest is currently enrolled and is in Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Leah’s room. She adores all of her teachers as well as the director Ms. Mindy. Ms. Jennifer has an outgoing, high-energy personality and greets my daughter everyday with a smile. Ms. Leah has a quiet confidence about her and the two combined are a perfect balance. The staff at Little University has left a lasting impression on my girls as my older daughters are now in 1st and 2nd grade but still talk about their teachers at LU and are excited when they get the chance to stop by and see them. The school focuses on a combination of education, creativity, and fun. My daughter works on her letters and numbers in fun and stimulating ways and is always eager to show me her “school” work as well as her craft projects. Over the course of the day she has the opportunity for discovery play, organized activities, as well as educational work presented to her in fun and innovative ways. The director is easy to talk to and very understanding and flexible. Over the past five years my work situation has changed multiple times and she has always worked with me to accommodate the needs of my family. I am more than pleased with Little University and happily recommend them to friends seeking childcare.

My son attended in 2012-2013 for about 6 months, he was 3 at that time. It was a much better experience coming from Safari Childcare. I felt like it was more focused on running activities and projects with kids then running a daycare business. Did not give full stars for 2 reasons: 1) I felt like the place was too focused on education- lots of parents nowadays really want their kids to learn as much and as fast as possible, famous saying: learn through play is slightly imbalanced. They are too concerned with comparison of what my kid can do versus other kids his age. At age 3 I really want my son to play and play some more. I care for him to be able to talk to other kids, be able to share and take turns, dont compete over everything, I love making him giggle, act goofy, play pretend and do things he likes- like kicking soccer ball with no rules. I dont care if he knows clock, days of the week, his address or phone number or if he can write his own name. He will have plenty of time to learn all that and at his own pace. And the reason 2) was one of the teachers: director (whos also a teacher) was very good- I felt comfortable with her, all other teachers seemed ok, miss Jennifer- not sure about her, I witnessed few times when she raised her voice at kids and though she might be beat too harsh. In addition, she evaluated my son as intelligent but I need to work on his letters and numbers. Did I mention he was only 3?

I cant say enough good things about Little University. It was my sons first daycare, and he attended it for 3 years. He loves his school and teachers! As a parent, I appreciate warm and caring atmosphere and at the same time very high academic standards. My five year old knows how to read, multiplies and subtracts numbers, is very eager to learn new things, and all because of the teachers dedication, patience and individual approach. They improve childrens imagination through new fun projects, and introduce them to science, crafts and nature. My son still remembers how he was observing the life cycle of butterfly at school! Mrs. Mindy and Mrs. Jennifer are very experienced, and educated. They know how to treat each child individually. My nephew and niece are attending Little University as well, and I can see how teachers try to learn every childs personality and interests, and develop special bond with them.Thank you Little University! Great place, excellent teachers!

We sent our twin boys to Little University after visiting a number of various day care centers in the area. We needed a place that offered the flexibility to our kids needs also creating an environment where our twin boys could feel comfortable and safe. We are very satisfied with what weve experienced with Little University. We already see the growth and development our twinss since they started here. The teachers and staff are attentive and caring, while the facilities and resources (security, toys, equipment, play area, food, online communication system, etc.) are also great. Parents have the peace of mind of knowing their children are at a place that fosters social, emotional, and educational growth. I would definitely recommend Little University to any family.

Little University has been a great experience for my family. This was a my daughters first day care facility after being at home. I was worried how she would adjust but in fact she simply loved it. I would recommend this facility to everyone. The teachers are so passionate and everyday my daughter learnt something new. I loved the structured way of making the little ones get involved with alphabets, various books around what they learnt and projects. Each week they had spent time creating and building on what they learnt and the 5 months she was here she learnt a ton. I am sure we will be back after the vacation break. My daughter loved all her teachers, the staff and her friends. A truly well rounded education and care you want your child to have.
