This place and the staff does not even deserve one star. Leslee is extremely rude and unprofessional. We wanted to rent a storage space from this location and she is the reason for them losing a customer. My dad went by himself to inquire about storage as we have never rented a storage space in the past. She was extremely annoyed with him from the start due to him interrupting a phone conversation she was having. She answered all questions with an attitude and didnt explain any of his options to him. She showed him one unit and seemed like she was done with the conversation. Even after that, he was still going to rent from them. The final straw was when he asked a simple question of whether or not he can pay online monthly. She shook her head with annoyance, rolled her eyes and said yes at which point he asked his ID back and walked out. Considering we have never experienced this type of customer service, he went back to ask for her name. She removed her name tag and refused to provide him with her first name. I went back the next day to speak with a manager. Unfortunately Leslee was the only one there and told me she had no clue why my dad walked out while she was assisting him and refused to give me her boss name. When I told her I dont want to discuss this with her and would like to speak with a superior, she said "ok have a great day" and walked away refusing to give me any managers contact information. Public storage should hire friendlier people as their staff or youre going to continue losing customers.

The place in dingy, upkeep is nearly non existent, the customers are filthy and trashy. This place has to be the least appealing storage park ever had to put my stuff in. Sketchy things go on there, someone removed my lock, i dont mean using a key, I mean they removed the whole handle with it, no reason for doing so. Went there to get in and couldnt because there was some other lock on, went to desk, the lady said I must be on the "naughty" list and need to make a payment. Little does she know I havent even missed so much as a penny with a payment anywhere let alone their hole in the wall skid mark of a storage unit. Dont trust the people here, whatever you do, go to the one by big timber and 31, much much much better, and the prices are reasonable. Here they jump prices for no reason.

Just wanted to say Thank you to Stephanie, we have never had any issues or problems with this company at this location. We have always had good service from the day I rented the unit with Greg at the end of May 2014 till we moved out on July 11th 2015 and we were given such great customer service by Stephanie. I felt that they maintain the office and the units and property very well, and their customer service was just great. Never had any security issues, or any unit issues. They really care about their location. Thank you for such great customer service. I would recommend your company to any one looking for a storage. God Bless! Sylvia

I moved out of my storage unit 4 days before the end of the month, thought I would get a prorated refund because I paid till the 30th but they dont do that anymore so I cleaned and swept out the unit and put my lock back on till the 30th so nothing would happen to the unit n i get blamed, smart right. Didnt get off work till 9pm that day went there n got my lock n went home, now they want me to pay for another day cause I didnt vacate during business hours WTF? Can you say bogus and money hungry. Also some units flood from the hill on three back of the property so be aware and do not do business with this place people!

This storage unit is in a nice, convenient location. It is well kept and feels secure. Samantha was on staff when we arrived and helped us decide which unit would fit our needs. She made a very frustrating situation (a delayed close on our new house resulting in my family temporarily moving into a small apartment) much easier to deal with. She was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. She even called a few days later to check in on us. I was very impressed with the customer service at this location and would recommend it to anyone needing storage in the area.

Havent had good service since Sherry left as manager. Talked to the manager that took over after her about the roof of my unit leaking green goopy stuff onto my belongings. He stated he would put notes on my account and have someone inspect it, to this day it still has not been resolved and its been almost a year since I reported it. I rarely go into the office any more because of this kind of customer service, never had a problem when Sherry ran the property and all my questions and issues were taken care of immediately.

Samantha, the customer service rep. took great care of us, all in one day. We had to relay on the phone back and forth a few times (on our side) before going over to the site. Every time, Samantha answered the phone promptly. She was courteous throughout and very informative. Our only issue with the property is that the turnoff from Rte 31 can be hazardous because of the busy traffic there. Strongly recommend that the company advocate for a flashing caution light near the entrance. Otherwise great service, thank you!

After a long drive and trouble with traffic Samantha greeted me with a smile. She also kept in touch prior to my arrival to ensure our appointment and was very flexible. She showed me to my unit and kindly explained the lease. I am very happy that I chose Public Storage. Samantha is a kind person, professional, and very caring. I felt I received superior customer service from Debbie and Samantha at this location. All available services from various storage units to boxing and packing materials were throughly explained. I was taken to the unit i wished to rent for inspection prior to paperwork so I knew exactly what i was paying for. Billing and online options were covered as well. Sales person Debbie was very friendly and easy to work with. I would highly recommend this location.

When I first got into my unit, Stephanie took care of me as if I were moving into a luxury resort. She was extremely helpful and friendly, and she has a genuine care for her customers. My unit stayed clean, dry & secure from the first day through the end of my rental. Getting in and out was very easy through the security gate, though getting onto 31 can be a hazard because of the blind curve. Overall a great storage experience, thanks!

From the very start on the phone to reserve my unit, Public Storage was professional, friendly and helpful! On 6/04/16, I went to make payment on my unit at the Western Avenue location in Carpentersville and my experience with Samantha was TOP NOTCH! She explained everything, gave the option of purchasing a variety of moving supplies, and guided me through obtaining the correct unit size. Thank you Samantha and Public Storage!!!
