Seal-coat and patch asphalt driveway job was 4x the price of next bidder. Workers smoked while applying seal-coat. Cracks and potholes came back in less than 4 months, before any snow. Warranty work was never done. Price = 1 Star since they were 4x the price of the nearest competitor. The reason I had gone with Chicago Roofing Services was because they were the only company that did asphalt, concrete, and roofing. This job was originally supposed to get me through the year at which point I would have my roof done and also replace my asphalt driveway with concrete. Bob assured me that the $800 for this job could be applied as a credit for future work on the roof and driveway replacement. However, when it came time to get roofing bids, Chicago Roofing Services was the only company that DID NOT provide me with a quote. QUALITY = 1 star. The seal coat and patch work was done in Mid-July. By January, even before our first significant snowfall, the cracks and potholes were back and larger. I have been asking for the warranty work to be done since February and am still waiting one year later. I also found that a lot of asphalt had been done over my lawn. They did not edge it properly. PROFESSIONALISM = 2 stars. Bob was flexible with my schedule and did go over to my property to survey it while I was not home. That same day, he did provide a quote complete with pictures and scope of work. However, during the job, their workers were smoking and I found several cigarette butts around my property. Im not a professional and dont know if the asphalt is flammable or not, but nevertheless smoking on the job is not acceptable in my book.

What a relief it is for me to find a reliable, quick and trustworthy company to handle our roofing needs. I originally requested a quote a couple years back, knew the roof was in bad shape. And after the quote came back, Bob took the time to work with me on a plan to fit timing and budget. The professional and kind way he handled the situation, even though we werent ready for the repairs, stuck in my head. Needless to say, two years later I called Chicago Roofing Services to finally tackle the roof and Bob remembered me and options we discussed. A few days later (today 4/1), they came out and fixed the extensive roof repairs and coated the roof to protect it from this Chicago weather... all in maybe 6-7 hours. They personally met us at the house, sent me pictures throughout the process and sent an updated invoice to show proof of payment. I am very happy we went with Chicago Roofing Services. Bob and team handles customers like family. And when my mom asked about a senior discount, I really liked the way he handled my mom and he worked with us to make her happy. I will continue to recommend them and they will be the company Ill call for any future roofing needs. Thank you Bob!

I had a great experience working with Bob Ely and his entire team! I called when I needed a roof inspection on a house I was looking to buy. I was on a time crunch and Bob was able to come out next day for an inspection. The report he provided was clear and informative. I enjoyed working with him for the inspection so much that I remember thinking “if we buy the house I hope to be able to give Chicago Roofing Services our business”. When we bought the house and called right away to schedule the work he had quoted. Chicago Roofing Serves was able to come out a few days later for a full day job. I was not at home when the work was done, but I received a midday status report email with an update and pictures of the progress. It was a really nice touch! When the work was completed I received more pictures and a comprehensive invoice detailing all of the work that was done which I will save if I need a reference in the future. Bob is always quick to respond to any emails with an answer or helpful tip. I really appreciate working with vendors who are so attentive and responsive!

Violent Chicago rainstorms + shoddy workmanship by prior owner = a sudden leak in our roof. I called multiple roofing companies and Bob (owner) at Chicago Roofing Services was the fastest and most accommodating to respond. He had his emergency guys on site as soon as possible, and they were able to identify the problem. There was a fee for having an emergency response but that fee went toward the final cost of the job. After identifying the problem they explain it while showing pictures and giving options for fixing it. After agreeing to a final cost (which I felt was fair) his team went to work (in a cold downpour I might add!) and provided photo proof of a job well done. Bob was in contact throughout the process to make sure things were going smoothly, and I was informed on the status. The work looked good and of course the leak stopped. They provide a warranty of differing lengths depending on the nature of the job. I am very happy I got in contact with Chicago Roofing Services and had them perform the work. I would call them again for another job!

Bob was really great. He was very easy to get ahold of and always called/texted back whenever I had questions. His guys always showed up right on time for work. They were extremely courteous and professional. The only reason I wouldnt give the full 5 stars is there was a hiccup with the measurement of our skylight, even though I harped on the sizing issue from the get-go (we had been told by a previous contractor that our skylight opening was not standard). The first skylight they picked up was the wrong size (possible supplier/warehouse error) and then after special ordering a new one and waiting about 2 weeks, that one was slightly too large as well. However, Bob did the right thing and made the adjustments at his own cost. I get the sense he is a very honest businessman and just had some communication issues with the sourcing of the materials. The work they did was quality as far as I can tell. Thanks Bob!

Me and my wife just purchased a home on the north side of Chicago and the inspector we hired said that we might need a new roof - now thats not something we wanted to here specially after purchasing a home. We looked for some roofers in our area, called a couple and a lot of them said they couldnt even give us a estimate for at least 3 weeks but as soon as I called Chicago Roofing Sevices they fit me in right away. Their proposal was very detailed and they answered every question me and my wife had. As soon as we gave them the green light for the work they came out and completed the job. They were very clean and Professional. Very satisfied!!!

I had the team from Chicago Roofing Services out to do some tuck-pointing and sealing on the brick portion of my house. The first time the crew came out it was a very cold November day. The crew put some mortar/sealant down that didnt seal the way it should have, most likely due to the cold, but for the most part kept water and moisture out which is what I was mostly concerned about through the winter. Bob told me that when the weather warmed up hed have his crew back out to re-do the work and make it look more aesthetically pleasing. He followed through and the work looks great.
