DO NOT GO HERE!!! They kept charging my credit card unauthorized fees when they made it almost impossible to cancel my membership. My complaint is very similar to previous ones (check all cancellation complaints) I kept my member ship for over two years and they were okay, however when it came to canceling my membership it became a living nightmare. I was told false information over the phone and in person by a few different staff members, which is why I requested to speak to manager. I had visited the business on multiple occasions and every time I was told the manager wasn’t in or that he was busy (I was even making phone calls on a regular basis there). A couple staff members said a simple email would take care of the cancellation, which was not the case. My credit card was charged for another month, which I had to find out on my own, and when I called I was told by the manager, John, that this was my fault. Even though they had failed to reply to my email or respond to my calls, I was not getting anywhere talking to manager. I requested to speak to someone above the manager since during conversation he was raising his voice to me and being very irate when I was just trying to get answers. He snapped at me and said that the person I was requesting to speak to would tell me the same thing. I still decided to call Derrick, the owner, and from his response I could clearly see where John the manager got his customer service skills. Both were disturbingly rude and even yelled at me over the phone. They both need a lesson in customer service and I would NOT recommend anyone going here. Cheetah Gym is just down the street and I heard they are much better anyways.

The gym where people know your name. Ive been going here for a year and I love it. The staff who work there are legendary, from the swim lesson instructors who have taught kids until they grew into adults to the class leaders who really know how to push tough workouts. It never gets too crowded; I came from a suburb where Lifetime Fitness was the dominant gym and there would be crowds around benches, none of that here. The pool and lessons are a great place to get started in a swimming journey. Muscle Blast is a fantastic challenge for sadistic athletes (although it might be ending soon...). In all, a good balance of classes. The weight room is in an old ballroom, so thats pretty cool. They have a CrossFit style centerpiece: a squat rack/pull up bar complex with barbells and med ball targets. 8 fully equipped squat racks and a landmine station is definitely enough for their clientele. From what Ive seen in the weight room, there havent been any instances where members have been inconsiderate or intimidated. To borrow a term from my "favorite" franchise, there is no need for a lunk alarm here. Coming from the behemoth that is Lifetime Fitness, you would think I miss the level of service or amenities from a huge club. And while you dont have a cycling studio, pickup basketball games or a rock climbing wall, I never used or needed those things more than for novelty anyways. Plus, there is still towel service!

This fitness club is awesome! Ive had a membership for four years. The staff is friendly and helpful. One year I tried LA Fitness because it was a little cheaper and boy was that a mistake. I rejoined EAC after four months and am happy to be home again. I also want to comment on Schmid Etienne, a personal trainer here. He is the real deal. I never wanted to pay for a trainer because I thought I knew enough and it was just a matter of working out, right?? Wrong!! He really taught me how to eat, how to perfect my form, and how to work hard. I lost ten pounds the first month, which I had not been able to do in the fifteen years Ive been working out steadily. If you are looking for a really knowledgeable trainer who is scientific and motivating, dont hesitate to pay for him. Tell him Lynn sent you :). It will change your life!! This is not to say the other trainers, Kelly and John, etc. are not good, they are, its just that Ive had experience with Schmid.

Ive been a member for sometime and not pleased lately with the cleanliness of the club or the overall attitude that the pool is more for families with children. I doubt these families are full time members and yet have taken over the pool. They pay as the go for their kids to have swim lessons and swimming events. The owners of the club obviously are making more money on this part of the club then they are from those of us who are full members. The womens locker room is a disgrace. The showers havent had shower handles for over a year now. The mold in the showers is only getting worse. The overall condition of the womens locker room after parents/children have been there is getting worse. Each time any of us say anything to the front desk, we are merely given an apology and nothing changes. Many members I have spoken to are considering dropping their membership.

I have been a member of this athletic club since October and have absolutely loved it. The staff is always there to truly greet me at any hour and they are always on top of any questions or needs I have. The personal training team is always helping me if I have questions or concerns with any physical or nutritional things. I love being able to see the same people and build relationships and constantly be motivated to work hard to see the results i am looking for. It has been a great experience.

I really love this gym. I use to work out at xsport and the only time I could work out there to have access to any of the weights was either 5 am or 11pm because it was always over crowded. But here I have access to everything any time I go in. Also everyones really nice and I swear they have the cleanest gym pool Ive ever seen. Love the crossfit equipment too!!

Have been a member for years... very nice, professional staff. Clean, great atmosphere. Love the pool, love the steam room, the whole package. Minor complaints: sometimes kids fill the pool when I want to swim, for example. But overall a great place!

Great Gym, very cool historic building with awesome gym. Nice size pool and cardio area as well. Kelly is great PT and awesome place to be. Would love to go back.
