My brother died he was the oldest child before I began, my family used Leak & Sons for the past 40 years from my grandmother, uncles, aunts, cousins family friends since 1970. This funeral isnt what it used to be the staff are younger and not experience like the seniors. I heard good stories about this funeral over the past 30 years and the stories was good, until my brothers death July 18, 2015 My family decided to have a Memorial Service because he was cremated, One the day of the memorial service I was told to bring everything to the funeral home, the DVD disk with his photos, Gospel CD and a Peace Lily plant. Me and my out of town cousin from Memphis did just that, one of the staff members ensured "Oh just leave IT well take good care and it will be in place" So on the morning of my brothers memorial service I went up their hours early to check up on their service. I notice my brothers name wasnt on the board meaning no one know which room his service was held at, when I asked about my brothers service the staff member didnt know what I was talking about, I had to raise my voice lightly to get some answers the front desk ladies seemed confused. Until one of the funeral home director ensured me "We got you" So now hours later my brothers service begins 14:00 hrs and the staff member gave my family very poor service, the DVD player in the chapel needed to be undated (The DVD video only played once you had to get up and push play to restart) The Gospel CD wasnt playing because I was told by a staff member "Oh we cant play the DVD and CD at the same time" Im like "As much money this place makes and you cant buy better quality DVD/ CD player??? So are the service began the had a organ guy who was very horrible at singing. (I was soooooo embarrassed by the singing) We all looked around liked "WTH??" Anyway that Monday on the behave of my family, I hadgo down to the funeral home to complain about the poor and unprofessional service Leaks provided. I talked to this jerk of a manager not Mr. Leaks Sr. himself, this manager was unprofessional and we angry because I called his staff "Unprofessional" The manager stated to me "We all makes mistakes" True but you guys are suppose to be professional WHO GOT PAID!!!! This manager wasnt pleasant to talk to he seem careless about family members who policy isnt over $10,000. Mind you all,there was a big funeral in ahead of my brother service in the AM and you better believe they busted their asses to make sure that cops sister funeral service was perfect!! Oh and the Peace LiLy plant wasnt in the chapel on the day of our service... THEY MISSSED PLACED MY AUNTS PLANT!!! WE FOUND THE PLANT IN THEIR FRONT LOBBY AREA IN THE CORNER SOMEWHERE!!! WITH NO NAME ON IT AFTHER THE SERVICE!!!! WE GOT NOT THANK YOU CARDS UNTIL MONDAY MORNING!! Back to this manager we both settled well they settled took some money off my tab, for there mix up. I dont want to tell you the amount they deduced. Anyway I was very unsatisfied with the service we paid for and I would highly recommend not to use this funeral home again because I wont Mr. Leak Sr or the managers should instead of over staffing his workers get some people whos knows how to multitask and get the job done. Leaks needs to go back to the old school ways these new Jacks dont know Jack!

Leak and Sons are the best. My father passed in 1984, my mother in 2002 and my sister in 2014 and I must say, well done to Leak and Sons, My love ones looked as if they were only sleeping, the makeup was perfect. This is my first time providing a review, I felt that everyone should know how well Leak and Sons took care of my sisters remains and my family in a time of need. I was lost, calling around to funeral homes in Georgia and airlines to find one that shipped remains. I got so frustrated, then I called Leak and Sons because I knew I wanted them to prepare my sister for her funeral. My God, they took care of everything for me. The notified a funeral home in Georgia to embalm and ship, they even made sure my sister was picked up on the same day she made her transition because I did not want her to go to the county. The prices I was quoted by the funeral homes in Georgia and the airlines was twice the cost Leak and Sons charged. As I and my other love ones make our transitions best believe that Leak and Sons will handle our services.

This place is terrible. The staff has no respect for the deceased. Mr. Spencer Leak Sr. has gotten too old and could careless. He should be ashamed. If you make the request for them to pick up a body from a hospital you better stay on them. It took them almost two weeks to pick up my grandmother remains from Mercy Hospital. The older lady who dealt with the insurance companies back in 2013 is rude, lazy and disrespectful. I believe shes a family member. Forget about complaining, because I expressed my concerns with Mrs. Leak personally and she told me that Mr. Spencer Leak Sr. would get back to me and Ive been waiting since 2013. On top of grieving the loss of a relative, this place is guaranteed to disappoint you. After the recent news of the body mix ups, I will never use this place again.

Our family has used Leaks for all of our family that passed. We recently had a funeral on 8-26 2016 for my cousin Margie Grayer. First of my sister took the time doing Margie hair when we viewed her body, her hair looked as if they just threw her in the casket we complained to Mr.Leaks but nothing was done about it. The Funeral directors yelled at are grieving families. And rushed us out, before the funeral my cousin called to ask questions about who was the pastor nobody returned his call. So we couldnt add that information to the obituary

When I lost my father, from the time the call was placed to Leak and Sons until the burial, everyone was so very kind and provided me and my family with great customer service. They also made follow-up calls after the burial to see if I had any questions or concerns and to insure that I had received all the documentation I requested. I thank the Leak family and staff for offering empathy and sympathy, along with great service.

Leak and Sons is a family-owned and thoughtful service business..they are extremely helpful about dealing with death..arranging a funeral isnt done very often and many times people are not aware of all the factors that go into a funeral. From start to finish Leak and Sons take care of you, and for that, I am grateful for the way they show you how to say "goodbye"..

You guys were very respectful and helpful during the time of my nephews passing and funeral, he was brought from colorado and from the time we contacted you till the time he was cremated you guys were there. Your building along with the repast room is very nice and big. thank you for being there in our time of pain.
