First time with Shiva, it was good, went back for second time and had rough experience with a gentlemen (possibly Ali?). I have a basic guy haircut, sides/back are shaved a little, the bangs/top being longer so i can my comb the bangs to the side. I walk in and inform him, "can i have a clean up? sides shaved to 3 or 4, leave bangs and top longer" He nodded and said OK. 20 min later, 80% of my head is shaved (using a 2 it seems)and he has jelled my hair spiked up in the air like Im ready to go clubbing in Europe. I had informed him during the cut how i liked my hair, but there was a huge language barrier. I really did like this place the first time. But Im pretty bummed out since he said he has been cutting a long time. I defiantly suggest this salon for the ladies but if you are a gentlemen, your hair style may change when you leave.

I found this place through google when looking for a great place in my neighborhood and I was not disappointed. I went in with a specific look in mind. Ali was the one cutting my hair, he did make a few suggestions against what I wanted. He first cut my hair the way that he thought would look the best, then gave me multiple chances to choose to keep it his way or do it my way. I chose my way and I was very satisfied with both of the cuts. The salon is very cute, I will definitely be coming back again.

I go there to get my hair cut and my beard leveled off. Easy right? Went there today and I thought he was going to tidy up my beard when he starts cutting it off at grade one. I didnt want to lose my beard. My wife likes my beard. I so angry right now and plan on NEVER going there again. Plus they charged me for it even after I told them about losing my beard.

I usually call ahead (day of) to make an appointment just to ensure I wont wait long. But walk ins are welcome, and it is easy to be seen immediately on a week day. Saturdays are a little busier. Ali has been cutting my hair for 2 years, and its always exactly what I want. Everyone is friendly, though I havent personally used the dyeing or manicure services.

I had the best experience at this salon. I have a very curly hair, I went in for a hair cut, Shiva recommended Brazilian blowout and I got it done the same day. My hair is sooooo soft now and very easy to control. It takes me 15 min to straight vs before 2 hrs. My curls are loose and it looks much better. Love this place will definitely go back.

Shiva does an amazing job with hair. She really knows her trade and always has the best suggestions. I have never walked out of her salon unsatisfied. I usually go in for a color and cut, sometimes with an idea of what I want, and she takes that and turns it into a great look.

Ive been going to SBS since they opened and I will never go anywhere else, if I can help it. Ali always does such wonderful work, and I enjoy our conversations. Everyone at SBS is very nice and the atmosphere is very relaxing.

It doesnt look like much on the outside, but I love this salon! Ali has cut my hair twice now and its the best haircut Ive had in years and its only $28! He was very sweet and pleasant to work with! Highly recommend :)
