Definitely really nice people! They take care of you, listen to your concerns about your hair and how you want your hair to be. Like for me, I wanted it to be easily manageable without having to do so much styling or work to it and I ended up with a cut that works perfectly for it :) They also help you learn about how things should be done like perms for me as to how I know whether it was done well and understand the facts about dying my hair or any of their other treatments to help me feel better and more confident about trying something new when I go for my next haircut. Definitely going back :)

I was nervous going in for my haircut because I have had several bad experiences going to salons in the Chicago area: rude and pretentious staff, high prices, and terrible haircuts. My experience at Gordon was the exact opposite. The staff was friendly and professional, they created an incredibly relaxing experience (scalp and hand massages), and my hair looked wonderful. I saw Holly and I would recommend her without reservation.

Ive been going here for quite sometime now. I love the stylist, they are wonderful. Every time I go here I never know what I want, thats when the stylist comes in. They are so good at what they do. They know what goes with my face and thats what I love the most. "A salon is not a salon, if the stylist doesnt know what goes best for your face." Gordon Salon and Spa definitely knows best!!

Totally outstanding service. I was a walk-in - just moved to the area and in desprrate need of a hair cut. I was immediately greeted and shown around/discussed all of the services provided at the salon. My hair was in desperate need of attention and the haircut I received was excellent -- I highly recommend this location and will be back as a regular.

Mel Messer is by far the best stylist, colorist, and make up artist that I have ever worked with. I have fine hair and with her styles and you would never know. People stop and ask me all the time who does my hair or compliment my color - that hasnt happened since I was a teenager! Mel really listens and truly consults with you - just the best.

Its the first time Ive found a salon and a hair stylist that I literally walk in and give her freedom to do whatever she thinks my hair needs. I went in twice and I still came out with a different hair color than what Id originally had asked for. I brought in pictures and explained a simple hair color. I was there for a long time too because the stylist had poor time management and overbooked appointments. Not worth my time. Waste of money. Be smart and go somewhere else.

Gordon Salon in Wilmette provides wonderful color, cut and styling services. The Aveda hair products have proven gentler on my hair than previously used color products and my stylist is first rate. My stylist has created several special occasion hairstyles for my fine, straight hair, including adding extensions.

Gordon salon is definitely the place to go if you need a hair cut. When you first walk in there is many options of beverages including coffee, tea and lemon water. The staff there is all super kind and generous. Every time I get my haircut there, I am always leaving Gordons with a smile on my face and healthy hair

Andrea gave me a wonderful massage and a perfect cut. She was very pleasant, listened carefully to what I wanted and even indulged my anti-social penchant for catnapping in the chair. Im usually a little phobic about the salon experience but thanks to Andrea, Ill definitely book again soon.

I had an ok cut with them once. Then I tried to book other appointments and they never have time. Service on the phone is passive aggressive and makes you feel like they dont need your business. Which they have lost. Wouldnt recommend.

The best place to get a hair cut. Every stylist in here will recommend and suggest haircuts that will look great depending on facial features. Very sheik styles and everyone has a great personality. Definitely the place to come.
