PROS: They have good trainers who take their jobs seriously, like my trainer Anabelle. She is very professional and makes training both challenging and fun. She will assess what you are comfortable with then push you past your comfort zone, but not in an aggressive way. You WILL sweat but you will be a better person (if you follow her directions). Shes also cute, which is a plus. They have various cardio and weight machines. They also have lots of free weights available. The staff is usually friendly. CONS: Between 5pm and 8pm-ish is a very busy time, especially in the free weights area. My locker was broken in to and they took my shoes and sweats. Who takes someones smelly gym clothes? ALWAYS take your clothes home EVERYDAY. Some machines have been broken because jerks dont use them correctly, but they tend to get repaired rather quickly. I wish they had more plant-based options for protein. MOSTLY PRO/ALMOST NOT A CON: There are a LOT of beautiful women that go to this gym. If you are a man who likes women or a woman that likes women, you will need Jedi-like focus sometimes to concentrate on your workout and not be creepy and stare, though it is motivation to get to the gym everyday.

I actually signed up here about a year ago and got a personal trainer who was great. This was my go to gym loved the classes and closest to my house. But lately this year has been such a drag I usually bring guest but this year every guest I bring gets taken over to the manager and pretty much gets pressured into signing up. Its so annoying Ive been late to two classes because we sit there for 30 mins answering questions dealing with this guy who after we say no continues to bother and ask questions. I get you want you a sale but do it in a timely matter I dont have time to sit there and hang out. So I eventually stopped coming here and Ive found locations with better service and equipment.

This place is so unorganized. All the weights are scattered around, they are not organize. You will find 45-55lb dumbbell on a 5lb spot. Or vice versa. The janitor passes by weight in the floor and doesnt even bother to pick them up. Ive been coming here for two months and Ive literally observed the janitor and I think the janitors at portage park do 10x better job. The women at portage picks up all the weights I just dont understand how the janitor here doesnt. Dont get me wrong he cleans but I just think he can do a better job. Soy miembro del gym (central ave.) estoy muy felíz de pertenecer a ese gym. El personal es amable. Las clases que imparten son excelentes y los entrenadores muy buenos. Mi entrenadora Anabel es una excelente entrenadora y persona. El lugar es muy limpio y grande. Se los recomiendo.

Went there for the first time today. This is my second xsport location and I did not think my opinion of xsport could get worse. This location might be the worst,most poorly kept gym Ive ever been to. No one wipes down their machines, everyone there either is too lazy to put their weights back or is too stupid to read the number. Honestly,it was as if everyone else there did not make it past the 1st grade. I say this cause it seems no one can read numbers or match shapes. The absolute worst part about it? None of the staff seemed to care!

Most machines at this GYM are useless and just clutter the gym, the gym does not have a good ham curl machine, I tried the two that they have and they are awkward and not well designed, who ever purchased/rented this equipment never bothered trying them or does not know anything about muscle building or Kinesiology. There is only 1 squat rack, that is right only ONE squat rack and tons of lousy machines.

Im an active member at this gym. Love it the staff is very helpful and friendly. Ive been trying to get info on how to freeze my account because Im not working at the moment. But no employee at this gym know how to freeze an account. But I give it five stars before I love the gym. And because the staff is very friendly and helpful in other ways.

Awesome, BUT too hot! I have been to the Xsport on State and the Brickyard, and their a/c is set perfectly. This location, though. Way too hot, especially when the gym is crowded (peak hours). I hate it! Please fix that. Everything else,

Horrible ... they have a parking lot across .. Dont park there .. theyll bust your windows and xsport has no cameras so the bad guys get away with stealing... No its not xsports fault but be careful when you park your car.

Personal trainer never showed up, I waited around for 2 hours. The gentleman at the front desk was sitting on the desk on his phone. Thinking about switching locations even though this one is close to my home.

No A/C, no service, no level. Avoid, avoid and avoid. You get what you pay for, but this place is not going to worth even that peanuts you will pay for it.

The gym is perfect. New staff have been hired and they really look out for the people. The gym is huge, kept (for the most part) clean, and safe.

Great machines for legs. Also has a sauna in their locker room. Smaller place but I enjoy going there. The staff is very welcoming as well.
