I unfortunately ended up here as my employee damaged my car and begged me to get it fixed form mid-America as it was her dads friend. She wanted to get it done cheap because she didnt want to put it on her insurance. Lets just say this place is almost a scam not very business like. This guy gave me the quote , which was not really any cheaper then someone else would have charged me. The day I took the car in I asked him if he can touch-up a paint chip on side while he is fixing the bumper. He didnt quite do that , he just scraped off the paint. He went about telling my employee and her father that he charged so much cause he fixed my old damages to ruin my relationship with my employee . HIs quote was given regardless of knowing about the paint chip I asked him to fix which he didnt. But to expalin to his friend he lied. the work he did was ok not great. My bumper is still crocked. And he is a liar. will be posting pictures of damage he claims to his friend he fixed which he didnt . I dont know why they are crying since the employee got fired and hence refused to pay me but when about saying I got my old damages fixed because of lying sam .

I needed a lot of work done on my 2012 Honda Civic (replace the front bumper, fender, engine protection, and hubcap), and Sam and the entire staff at Mid America went above and beyond my expectations! I was anxious about this issue and had received a few expensive quotes from other shops in Evanston. Sam reassured me and did everything for a few hundred less than the lowest quote. He was above board, walked me through the process for selecting the necessary parts, as well as the original costs for each part. Beyond this, his brother even offered and gave me a ride back to my side of town when I dropped off my car! I picked my car up today (a day early--very fast turnaround!), and it looks better than the day I bought it--stellar paint-matching on the bumper replacement, and he threw in the hubcap for free. This team does high quality work, knows their town well, and does their work efficiently. I recommend them to all my friends!

Friendly, professional, personable. Cost efficient. Im not the worlds greatest with cars, but I look at car repair places like lawyers....cant trust em and they will always try to swindle you, or jack up the prices if they feel you dont know any better. After trying to get some body work done from a car accident, entire right side was scraped and dented. Most places were ludicrous in quoting me. Sam, on the other hand, made me feel like a friend Ive know for years and quoted me a price that was not only reasonable, but more along the lines of what I could afford being Im pretty much a blue collar kind of guy that works hard for my money. Even better, the car looks absolutely pristine! You would never know I had an accident!!!! High caliber work and skill! I am very happy I went to Mid America Body Shop!!!!!!!!! Best in Evanston/Chicagoland area I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These guys will SCAM YOU!!! beware. I looked up Sams Auto online and came to this location on accident. SAMs AUTO IS NEXT DOOR but when I asked the person for direction he said yes Sam went to the Starbucks across the Street and will be back. THEY LIED this is not the SAME PLACE! they started working on my car and I said I would go to the grocery store and asked them to call me when they were done. I called Sam;s because I had the number in my phone and Sams answers me saying he never had my car. HORRIFIED and SCARED I ran back to the shop and realized they SCAMMED ME THE WHOLE TIME. SAMs is next door and these guys just took my car worked on it and then they charged me and ARM AND A LEG saying it was my fault and I should have known better. I HAD TO Call the police but they still would not let my car go until I paid them !! DO NOT GO HERE

I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to mid America body shop currently located in Evanston il, regarding the Work they do their. I just want to mention this is not the first time that I been there for car repair and not only myself but other people as well such a as family and friends and even people I never met that have been there and show their gratitude towards the mid America body shop. The work they do there is beyond your expectations. Am very pleasecd to announce that am very very happy and satisfied , and not only me but other people as well. So am very proud to say that mid America body shop is the only place that I would take my car to because you would love the staff and the work they do there so I would recommend this place to anyone and believe what I say you wont regret it. My wife had a car accident and as a result my Honda Odyssey got front bumper and side panel got damaged and some scratches on the doors. Sam did well most of the repair works. He replaced one of the tires (1year old) and some unknown brand because he said that he could not find an exact match. But I had a life time warranty for the tire. Now no warranty for that tire and not so happy about that. Also I found out that one front door was slightly bent inside as the result of that accident and it was also overlooked and not fixed. The good part is that Sam charged me half of my $500 deductible which saved me some money. It is still a mixed feeling on this shop. It is definitely cheaper than other places arguably, but the quality of the service is questionable in my opinion. Probably will not go back again.

I really love the team at Mid America Body Shop. I believe its family owned and each time Ive gone there (3 times for 3 different vehicles) Ive received the upmost patience, courtesy, and wonderful customer service. I needed a rear taillight repaired and when the part finally came in I was told to come to the shop and I would be in and out in 30 minutes. I was in and out in 20 minutes. Every time Ive gone to the shop its been a very pleasant and non-intimidating experience. When they quote you a price the prices are reasonable. I have really appreciated the time and effort Mid America puts into restoring my vehicle. This is why I always go back. If you need some body work done and done right the Mid America Body Shop in Evanston, IL is the place to go. They are GREAT!!!!

These guys are the best! I came in with two flat tires. I had been driving without a spare for too long, and it finally caught up with me when I ran over a nail in the road. They offered a patch or a plug. I didnt know the difference, but they walked me through the decision, and whether I needed new tires. They leveled with me on everything, and didnt try to pressure me into buying unnecessary services or repairs. They did a thorough job of checking out the tires, and getting them repaired. I was able to get in and out of there in less than 20 minutes, and for a very reasonable price. They offer used tires for much cheaper than Ive seen at some of these other places. These are my new go-to guys for tire repairs.
