Horrible. do not trust these boys. Brought my 2013 Inpala in. Had 2 love birds trying to fix my car. Some chick and some guy with a cigarette in his ear, very unprofessional. Alls I was getting was a diagnostic and an oil change and alls the girl could say is "your engines shot" so this is free and were not touching it considering the circumstances, I can get you w price on a new engine she says. I DID NOT receive any paperwork saying anything. Car never had a problem, still running totally fine. So the gentleman with the cigarette in the ear that worked on my vehicle with the female pulled my vehicle up and I said can you explain this to me more in detail, he didnt no what to say, I asked why is my engine shot? He said " its not shot, it runs fine" can somebody help me out here? I dont know if I was being yanked around by you guys or what but next time stop the flirting between employees, take the cigarettes out of your ear, and pay attention to working. Never will I go back to a pep boys.

Went in a few minutes ago and I was greeted right away by the cashier. That was a plus but on the other hand I went in to get an oil changed waited at the service desk for someone to help me in the mean time I was looking up my Pep Boys credit card account and an older gentleman came out and he was working on some paperwork or something I understand sometimes we get busy but at least greet the customer and let them know you will be right with them. Another employee comes out of the back and they were talking but I was never greeted I was so disappointed from my last experience with Manny that was wonderful to such a bad experience. I am closer to the Crestwood location. But I came all the way out here just to be disappointed I left so upset ready to cancel my credit card I guess I will have to find somewhere to do business. I know I was just one customer to walk out and lose my business but if this is how customers are treated and I am sure it will add up.

Not ideal if you are from out of state, but overall it was fine. I was driving 12 hours to college when my car broke down about halfway there. I got in on a Sunday, and while I had to find another ride, they called me as soon as they found the issue, and let me leave the car there for two weeks for no charge since I couldnt get back until after exams. I will say, their customer service isnt always the greatest. I was on hold for over a half hour while trying to return their call, and then at first they said, "There is no Toyota Camry here..." before double checking. They also were tricky with paying for the repair. They wouldnt do an out of state check, even if it was certified or given a few days to clear before the car pick up. Considering Im a broke college student, it was a pain to have to get the money wired to me from halfway across the country just to pay the bill. But the issue is fixed, and they did it quickly, and I guess thats what counts!

Order a part on-line. Got the email that the part was ready. Go there to pick up and after 30 minutes no one can find the part. As a matter of fact they claimed my order was not even on the system. The lady that helped me ordered the part from another store and told me a few times the part was going to get there after 4. I called after 5 and no part yet. Got a call the next day that the pasrt had arrived but I had to go buy it somewhere else. I feel bad because I know this is the fault of a bad corporate system. I could see the sales person was embarrased about this.

Went in to order a part, said they would have it in the next day. Went in the next day and no one knew what I was talking about. It turns out no one ever bothered to place the order. On another occasion I had stopped by to have a flat fixed only to have them refuse to fix it because it was too close to closing time and the mechanic had to leave soon. What a joke of a business. Will never shop there again. Luckily Lagrange and Countryside now have other autopart store alternatives.

Do not take your car here! I had a problem with my car, brought it in and they said I needed to replace my front brakes and roders. Hours later, I drove out the Parking lot and heard a terrible noise every time I hit my brakes. Let me just say they said my rear brakes were good before they worked on my car. Eight days later Im finally able to bring my car in and they tell me they dont hear anything but the rear brakes are making a noise and they need to be replaced. Really?!

They charge you for buying on the Store... That is the most ridiculous thing Ive ever seen. I went to pep boys to do my front brakes. I called them, made an appointment and I showed up on schedule. After that the guy took my car and repaired it. 1) he didnt asked me anything about what parts would I like.. (of course they chose the most expensive ones) 2) they charged me 35 dolars for buying on the store... That makes no sense to me.

I brought my 1997 GMC Sierra C1500 in to Pepboys in Hodgkins, IL for an oil change-Pedro and his crew promptly serviced my vehicle. I was impressed with the professional attitude and the quick turnaround! My oil change was completed in less than 25 minutes! Jan 21: Went to buy some gift cards and a couple of parts. Went to check out but there was no one at the register. Waited more than 5 minutes (almost 10), went to the back and a girl told me shed be right there. She never showed up. I had to leave without making a purchase. Ive never seen an unattended register for such a long time. No more Pep Boys for me.

Went to pick battery for my car key entry/lock. Counter employee went way out of his way for me. He changed batteries. Nothing. Told me I needed to get a new part of it. I could get it cheeper on line. What a great employee. Pep boys got the 5star employee ever company dreams about. Go there. They can help.

Came in to pick up some filters and recycle a bucket of oil...Apparently only their techs are qualified to dump oil into their storage container. Manager quoted 30+ minute wait while a bunch of other employees just stood around inside the store. I dont get it, is it really that difficult?

Tell me how this one guy up there was going to charge me 97 dollars to check a "check engine" light. I thought they are suppose to do it for free! As soon as the guy told me this, I turned around and walked away. Never again! And the guy looked like a manager too. So sad!
