First, the gym is clean. Equipment is organized in a logical sequence to be used. I especially appreciate the abs area and the 30-minute workout, where I can get a quick workout after a 12-hour shift. Second, I REALLY appreciate that the gym concept is designed to keep all the grunting and snorting bodybuilders away. For the majority of us who do not aspire to be Arnold, all the noise and carrying on from these types can be distracting to a workout. I have previously belonged to gyms who catered to the bodybuilding crowd and the constant dropping of weights and posing to impress others in the gym was nauseating, to say the least. As for the two previous negative reviews, I say go back to your bodybuilding gym. Theres one down the street. Third, I like that you can get a fitness trainer to help plan a basic workout without spending a ton of money. For the majority of us who just want to get into better shape and be healthier, we do not need a series of specialized training sessions at an exorbitant cost. Fourth, I like that they are open 24 hours. I work night shift normally and often am awake in the wee hours of the night. A good workout helps me relax. For those of you who just want a great place to get a good workout, Planet Fitness is for you. For those of you who want to win the Mr. World competition, go down the street.

Me and my sister go to the gym 4 nights a week. There is a regular, a guy, we see just about every night we are there. He always uses the pull up machine. Its very difficult for him to do the machine so he makes a "grunt" sound when he has to pull himself up on the machine for the work out. This was the first time we have heard that alarm go off. Everyone stared at him. After the alarm went off he tried really hard to not make any sounds, which probably made him self conscious. Surprisingly a guy next to him went up to him to tell him he was doing a great job and to keep it up. It made us really upset the alarm went off because it shouldnt have went off. We went up to the front desk about the alarm, because they should be mindful before they set it off. Its supposed to be a judgment free zone, but he is "grunting" to finish his reps and to try and better himself. And now the spot light is on him and he knows it. He isnt grunting because he is doing heavy weight lifting or dropping weights. And the ladies at the front desk said "bobby hit the alarm and I am not sure why he did that." I understand how body builders are and the alarm would be necessary for their actions but this wasnt the case.

Dont waste your money at this gym. Pay the $5 extra dollars a month and go somewhere better. I originally signed up at the Naperville location but transferred Joliet shortly before moving homes to a completely different city. I noticed noticed on my PF account, the status was showing as cancelled. I though it has been cancelled because I was a couple months behind on the payments. So I made the past due payment and called the Naperville location to confirm it was cancelled and they confirmed it. THE LIES THEY TELL! I checked my bank account a couple months later and I am still being charged! I call the Joliet PF to see why. They said I have to come in to cancel my membership and it was in the contract. I was furious. I got emails asking me to come back, my online account said cancelled, the employees said it was cancelled, but no one bothered to tell me to come in! I requested to speak with a manager and they said shed call me back. Another LIE! Its been a week and I have yet to be called. Definitely one of those places that can give two s***s about you once you sign the dotted line. Buyer beware.

PF I had you at 5 when I first joined until the following happened: Your black card $10 deal with the company has a a lot of hidden fees users dont know about. Minus one star. Then for THIS location, your insecure worker Jen wanted my friend and I kicked out because she thought my friend was creepy. The way she handled it was very unprofessional, running from us and calling security. Minus one star. I was so appalled by this occurrence that I decided to quit my membership, having to pay a $60 cancellation fee your members dont know about. Minus one star. Thus sayeth yours truly, 2/5.

I was refused access to the gym because the assistant manager Bob Smith said he couldnt read my signature. I have had surgeries on both of my arms, suffer from cubital tunnel syndrome and the onset of carpal tunnel as well. I would post no stars if I could, because apparently the Planet Fitness motto of "judgment free zone" doesnt apply to those with physical disabilities! Would it really have been so difficult for you to fill out your form for me??? Thanks for your discrimination Mr. Smith!!!

Just cancelled my membership because a guest was harassing me. When I reported what happened I was told the regional manager Mike drzik said they couldnt banned a guest because I was only bothered once by him. He was wearing street clothes and was obviously not there to work out considering all the cigarette breaks he took. Ive been a member since 2015 and never had problems. The staff and manager were helpful and tried doing what they could but the regional management made the final call.

Sounds good BUT.... they have a buy out fee, what draws to mind, What are they buying out? If one does not like it, why would you have to pay not to come back? Second reason: Auto pay through your check account. Some people like it, but I do not feel comfortable with anyone having access to my information; Also, the hassle they may charge you the buy out fees and all the mistakes that companies make with your money.

Very disappointed with my recent experience with this establishment. The ast. Manager Bobby Smith couldnt show you the light of day if asked too. He couldnt help me fix my account that was having billing issues. And only repeated the statement "is there anythig else i can do for you" while packing his bags to leave for the night. Will be contacting corporate and manager above bobby smith.

Well what to say if your a are a guy dont join they have weights that most girls can max out at. The only perk is tanning and massage chair. Dear planet fitness you cant be called a fitness or gym without a proper squat rack or benches... im not joking theres zero weights anywhere. welcome to womens workout world.... run people run!

Today was my first time signing in. I like that there were plenty of machines available for me to choose from. Will be trying out a class or two soon. Wish the machines had more than an iPod hook ups, though. Very clean. I like it so far...

I have no complaints about this place. I wished that they had a sauna. But they do have massaging table. They have all they equipment I need. I like it here because it is 24/7. I work different hours and it is close by.
