This is the nicest facility around and I love the staff, the group classes and amenities! I saw there are some negative reviews and thought I should post this... Other than a comedy of errors or bad luck, I cannot imagine what the negative reviewers are talking about. There are some members who do not follow all the rules, perhaps this is why they were complaining? The staff is supportive of members and keeping the facility clean, of course if someone was reminded of rules, such as "no cell phones" in the workout areas or locker rooms, or to shower before entering the spa or the pools, they may have felt offended. But this is what ruins the club, people who think they are above the rules. The only constructive criticism I have is that the maintenance staff is streamlined and therefore they have to work very hard to keep the facility clean, especially in the locker rooms. If there were a few additional custodians and members were more conscientious and cleaned up after themselves, this would help.

Theres plenty of better gyms in town. Ive been a member of many genuinely great gyms. Lake Forest Health and Fitness is in all respects subpar and possibly the most overrated gym Ive ever been to. The a-holes who run this failing gym have no respect for their members! My friend and I were BANNED because we were "talking too loud". We were just being ourselves, which is laughing and having fun, but apparently this gym expects you to be a quiet little mouse and find no enjoyment in working out. If youre looking to pay $100+ a month to feel more insecure than a kid at a middle school dance, having the eyes of every employee on you anxiously watching your every move as you workout in this low-rate dump, sign up today. If you have any sensibility, stay far away from here and sign up for an actually good gym. 2 stars because they had a grand total of two nice employees out of 20.

The Bros

I only write this because I simply dont understand the negative comments posted. This is a very nice gym with more than adequate equipment. I have belonged to the gym for 4 years and have never -- NEVER -- had a problem using equipment I wanted. The gym is clean, well maintained and has a good (albeit older) vibe. As for the staff, they are friendly and competent, and thats all I am looking for in staff. It must be that Roger and the other haters are looking for friends in the gym staff. Ignore the haters and give it a try.

Was a decent experience for the first few months. Then things went downhill, as the service staff wasnt the most pleasant and the sauna had its fair share of issues. The jacuzzi in the main pool room had a few tile pieces fall off which I unfortunately stepped on as well, cut my toe, and overall I just was very annoyed with the conditions. Took my business elsewhere.

Nice pace always clean but slightly older facilities. The pool is only 25 yards long. The staff is very friendly and the are lots of group exercise options. You can even bring your kids and have them watch them for you.
