Im very surprised this location only got a 3.8 rating, tough crowd. I travel for work and go to Plant Fitnesses all over the country so for this area and Chicago (Im originally from here), this location so far is the best Ive been too. For various reasons; such as, the first time I came here I forgot my gym lock and the employee was nice enough to hold my bag behind the counter for me so I wouldnt have to run back and forth out to my car in the cold. Also, the layout here is open and well laid out. I like how the equipment isnt cramped together. Plus the equipment is nicer than other locations, now dont get me wrong I realize each PF is privately owned. Its very clean here, all the employees were cleaning during my entire hour and a half workout. Theyre very polite and courteous as Ive mentioned earlier with my bag. And the best part for me personally is the lifetime fitness Stnrgy 360 multiple workout cage (training zone) Theres kettle bells and ropes perfect for those wanting a little extra in their workout and CrossFit individuals. I know this location is far from the inner city but its so worth the drive. I honestly couldnt ask for anything more from a PF location. If you havent been this is definitely a location to check out! Keep up the good work guys!! Ill definitely be back when Im in town!

They gym itself is ok, but the billing department is ridiculous. I signed up for a promotional membership which was supposed to cost me $10.00 a month, only to find that I was being charged $19.99 a month. After being assured that it would be taken care of, the next month I was also billed $19.99 a month. Another complaint, and the same situation. FInally 3 months after joining I was assured that the billing would be stopped for 3 months, upon which my membership would be cancelled. I agreed to this, only to find out after the three months that they did not cancel my account and was charged for the next month. Apparently the manager is the only one that can cancel accounts and it must be done in person with the manager present. I went in and was told the manager is only in for 2 hours each day and that I must call ahead to find out what hours they would be in. I finally was able to cancel my account, but I was I day too late to not be charged for the next month (5 days ahead of when the money would actually be taken out of my account). This whole experience has been very aggravating. I will never be returning to this gym.

If I could I would give this location no stars. Management is unreachable they also hang up and neglect to call you back even after they have written down your phone number. I only have been in once, I set up my membership online. The day I went in was the day I cancelled my account. Turns out 5 months later they have been billing my account and didnt cancel it(they blamed it on the computers)! I called and talked to the GM, he told me he would put in my refund request and once he filed it I would get a phone call... I have yet to get a phone call. I would recommend going else where for workout needs. Management isnt the greatest, staff just hang about and dont help anyone at the front desk, the cleanliness of the facility has much to improve on. Attempted to contact the DM still hasnt gotten back to me. I would just like my refund this is ridiculous!

On the 26Dec.2016 I swiped in at this planet fitness at about 3:00pm.The lady behind the counter was very nice.My experience at this planetfitness went bad when I forgot my gym shoes and I told this planet fitness employee,a Hispanic looking guy with black hair, that I was going to my vehicle to obtain my shoes and come on back . He ask me did I swiped my card and I told him if I didnt swiped my card then would I be on the other side of the service counter? When I came back with my shoes he still ask me, did I swiped.Later I forgot my soap,Footspray and when I came back with my soap and foot spray he confronted me again about me swiping my card.From the above commands he made to me I felt he was harassing me,he made my experience at the planetfitness unpleasant.I say to anybody who read this,dont join this planet fitness but join another planet fitness .

I have only been to this gym once, and that was the last time I would set foot there. The locker rooms were very disgusting. Toilet paper all over the stalls, apparently women do not know how to flush now a days, the sink area was very dirty, paper towels on the floor, I couldnt even lock the locker and I had my purse in there. No towels are provided for you. I guess you have to bring your own to remove all the sweat from your face or maybe even use your own shirt! It was simply disgusting. Nothing compared to LIFETIME FITNESS. At least you see a staff member cleaning everywhere you go!

First thing I noticed was that the gym was very dark. Half the light were either off or burned out. I went into the locker room and there was trash all over the floor. Very dirty! Then, the treadmills were in terrible condition. The first one I went to, the belt looked like it was falling apart. Then it was really rough when I started running so I moved to a different one. Almost as bad as the first! I left to go find the next closest Planet Fitness. The GM or the staff should be fired in my opinion.

I have been with Planet Fitness for about 4 years. I have been to several of them and have had the same manager at two of them. One of them is the Melrose park gym, friendly staff and the place was clean. The gym on Pulaski and Belmont also had a friendly staff and the gym was clean. Never had an issue with payments or them meesing up my finances. I go to the gym on Belmont and Laramie, its smaller but that is fine with me. The staff there are great also. All three gyms i would recommend *****.

Place is fair maybe even close to good because it is cheap to go join and clean. My biggest problem is their is no free weights the closest thing they have is a smith machine and its hard to get a turn on it same with the benches! You get groups of three or four guys that stay on one for like 30 to 45 min! Always crowded too in the late afternoons and evenings from 4-10, have not tried in the morning yet. Been going for two weeks and wish I wouldnt have got the $20/m plan an signed a contract.

This gym is SUPER OVER CROWDED! and yet they still signing people up. not enough equipment to workout. never a supervisor nor manager on duty. workers are very nice and polite.Personal Trainer awesome! always there to give the clases. but overrall if Planet fitnes is going to be signing up more people they need to extend the place and add more equipment . the only reason i attend this gym is because is only 5mins away. but trust me been looking around to move somewhere else.
