I had a wedding this past weekend. I called for an early morning appointment the day before and they gave me Jen for 9:30. I told them she would have to be quick because I had to be downtown early. This was because the itinerary had been changes. I was nervous about this short notice. Anyhow, Jen worked quickly and efficiently. I thew in a haircut which I had not asked for that service when I made my appointment and she did not mind at all. She was very pleasant. She cut, styled and molded my hair and fixed my hair piece in so it would hold for the whole day and evening. She did a great job and got me out of the salon in 35 minutes. I was so grateful! Now after the wedding (and I received many compliments on my hair) I am left with a very nice haircut! Thank you Jen for your good service. On several other occasions I had stylist at the same salon named Jayne color and cut my hair and the color came out exactly as I would have it and she cut my hair beautifully as well. Jayne (not sure about spelling) is also of very nice person and pleasant as she does your hair. So now I dont know what to do when I go in because I like both stylists equally so booking will be hard and I dont want the other stylist to think I prefer one over the other because they are both excellent!

I purchased a Keratin Treatment by Tammi. First, the keratin treatment was only left on for 15-20 Minutes. I went on the Peter Coppola website and you can leave this product on for 50 minutes. After, when my hair was done it was frizzy then she straightened my hair in a 1950s hairstyle. Considering her curly hair with straightened bangs (I thought it was the 1980s again) I suppose she thought my hair looked good. Beauty school dropout salon this should be called. Finally, I did call the salon and left 2 messages asking if they could redo my hair or give a conditioning treatment. The salon had the receptionist read me the waiver I signed. Yes, I signed a waiver before stating if I was unhappy with the service the salon is not responsible. Unfriendly, this salon has all their local clients and does not care about new clients. Worst salon experience!!!

An absolute treasure for Oak Lawn! Beyond belief impressed with their hospitality, kindess, and love while going in to get my hair shampooed. Dee, one of the stylists, was enjoyable and made me laugh. Tara, the shampoo girl, was great to talk with and made me feel at home while gently massaging my scalp and head. Kelly, the person at the front desk greeted me with the biggest smile and is a big reason why I will be returning! Great shampoo and a great time! 10/10 will go back. I highly recommend!

I have been going to this place for the last 10 years. Most of the time I get full head of highlights and the price is reasonable - just a little bit over $100 for shoulder lenght hair. They have a color sale every two months or so, and I have noticed that quality of work drops if you take advantage of the sale. I guess they are trying to compensate for the discount in the amount of color they use. So go and pay full price and you will get good quality. I recommend!

Ive been going to Scissorhands for over 10 years and I wont go anywhere else! Ive tried a few other places but nothing compares. Ive never had a bad cut or color, ask for Cydney, shes the best! I trust her skills so much that Ive recommended her to several of my close friends and they all agree, Cyd is awesome!

Great stylists, very friendly and clean, great prices, they offer water coffee etc as you wait, they have waxing and makeup stylists, as well. Can accommodate weddings for hair and makeup. Coloring, frosting full hair salon. I see Jayne☆☆☆☆☆she is a 5 star stylist, the other ladies are as well.

Love this place Christina M. did an amazing job! Very friendly, polite and professional. Showed her a picture of what I wanted and she did an excellent job. I found my go to place for anything hair! The staff is very friendly and welcoming, love it!

I dont understand the haters..my girls & I love this place. All of the stylists are knowledgable, but my picky kids have each found their faves in Gabby & Jayne. Theyre always kind and my girls and I are always very pleased with their cuts.
