When you call the restaurant to make an order, the person you speak to is totally rushing and often gets things wrong. They tend to be a bit non-customer service oriented. When you place the order and ask for example to pick it up say an hour later, they actually put the order through right away and just let it wait for you. An hour later when you pick it up it will be at the cold end. Although the food is generally okay, the appetizers are not that good and if you order a small plate of any appetizer youll pay $2.65 and the container that youll get is extremely small, I mean extremely small like the ones youll get for salsa or sauce. I measure the weight against the price and you dont want to know how much youll be paying per pound, just like how Jewels and other place sell, its just way over priced and a rip off. I called them to express my discomfort with the whole thing and the one who picked up the phone was extremely arrogant and refused to acknowledge the fact that what theyre charging for this little tiny container is just way too much.

Would give them 0 star if possible. They messed up the order and completely forgot to pack the falafel sandwich my wife had ordered. We come home and realize it so gave them a call. The guy asked us to go back and pick it up. We get there (took us about 11 minutes) and they said they closed and to come back the next day. The guy I talked to on the phone was a busboy apparently and didnt know anything according to the man in charge at the time whose name was Carlos. HE had no decency to talk to a customer. Instead of being apologetic he gave us attitude about how we need to come back tomorrow and he cant talk to us at the moment because he was too busy cleaning. Extremely rude customer service. This is the second time it has happened with us. Needless to say we will not be going back there no matter how good their food might be. Please make sure you check your order if you are doing a takeout as these guys seem to conveniently forget to pack the complete order even though they charge you full amount.

I am done with this place, I had ordered about a total of 10 times and 8 of them had being wrong, the food is good I give credit to the cooks, but the customer service from the order takers, cashiers, phone workers need to take a seminar of how to talk and treat costumes, on top of they are making mistake after mistake on my order, when I confront them or call back, they basically ignore my complaints. From missing items, getting the wrong items, etc... I finally give up today ( I know the owner wont care, because he can make money out of more people) but I just wanted to let you know how poorly the cashiers attitude is and needs to learn how to talk with respect to someone that is bringing money to your restaurant. Good riddance Pita house, you will never be like pitta Inn in Skokie. Learn from them.

I went to the Pita House today after I had read reviews. They were right! This place is great! I ordered the Lamb Pita Sandwich and it was delicious. Lots of savory lamb patties in a very nice pita pocket along with lettuce and tomato. Accompanying the pita were 2 bowls of sauces, one a mild cooling yogurt sauce and the second a just right spicy chili sauce. Together they are divine. I ate every bite. So glad I found this place! Will be back to try so many great looking items on the menu. The place was steadily busy, the service was good and a great value for the money!

I use to be a regular here because i worked nearby. I since than have stopped coming here and would urge you to think twice before eating there. I ordered the lunch special and they didnt include gyros or much meat at all. When i called and talked to their manager, he called me a liar and confused me with another customer. He told me to basically scr** off. I told him straight up that i would never come here again. I than had to call my card company and get the ordered cancelled and threw it in the trash.

I used to love this place, but the last few times I went it just didnt meet my expectations. Perhaps its because Ive had lot of authentic Arabic food and the bar got pushed higher, or maybe the foods changed in the past few years. Overall, good arabic food. Better than going to a place like Roti Grill. Sometimes you have to wait for 10 minutes to get your food, but its not too bad. The hummus and pita are really, really delicious as well. Good place to go if youre looking to try arabic food.

WOW! Outstanding service and boy the food is delicious! My roommate and I have enjoyed 6 items (so far) from their tempting menu. Everything was very authentic and the servings/portions were very generous! Its unusual to find a restaurant that offers BOTH DELICIOUS FOOD AND SUPERB CUSTOMER SERVICE!OH.... AND ITS VERY HEART HEALTHY! We will be back very soon! Thank you Pita House for giving us faith that there is an affordable establishment that also has great food and super friendly service!

My family loves it! Pita House is a family-owned, wholesome, and healthy restaurant (unlike your Naf Naf, Roti, and OMG style Mediterranean food chains). Its extremely popular among locals. Anything you would want to try on the menu is well-seasoned and flavorful. My sister loves the lamb kebabs, and I love the falafels. Food is fresh. And the sauces and traditional yellow rice theyve been serving since as long as I can remember are to look forward too.

I came in to get a chicken shawarma - I left disappointed. This is the only _middle-eastern_ place Ive ever been at that doesnt have chicken shawarma. On top of that they charge 1.99 for garlic sauce which is generally free everywhere else. Then there was the service - horrible; I tried asking if I could substitute the rice and was prompted with a bold "no substitutions" statement.. Otherwise, the food was good - I ended up getting the chicken kebob.

Very very very fishy place. My buddy called there the other day and the lady who answered claimed only the chicken is zabiha not the red meat. When I called, the lady claimed everything was zabiha. Another friend of mine called the next day and the same lady first said only chicken is zabiha then abruptly said everything is zabiha halal. I would rather not take the chance. Very very upsetting knowing that I have been eating there for so many years.
