Ive been coming here roughly a year, and Ive I never really had any complications. All of the girls are so sweet, and they never let you leave the academy unhappy, until my most recent visit. After thinking about getting an inverted bob cut, I finally made the decision. It was hard to part with my hair, but I wanted something different. The gal I got scheduled with seemed to look unsure the whole time while cutting my hair. She showed me where she was going to cut, and we agreed that it was a good length. After moving to the other side of my head, it was much shorter than the side she started on. She was literally snipping straight across, and she was on her phone. Although she had a sweet personality, thats no excuse. She had another client after me and was practically rushing me out of the door. The teacher had to come and fix her mistakes, and I really didnt make a fuss because it didnt look terribly bad, or so I thought, until I got home. I seen in natural lighting that it was all layered towards the bottom on my left side and it was longer and all one length on my right side. I do understand that this is a school, and they dont guarantee that youll have a 100% flawless haircut. You get what you pay for, essentially. Thats why I will no longer be returning here. Id rather pay a good $80-$100 to get exactly what I want, without any hesitations. This school is great with color, along with ombre and other techniques. Ive been here so many times that I think Kylie at the front desk knows who I am, before I tell her my name whenever I call to book an appointment. If you want good color, come here! For being nearly half or sometimes even less of what it costs for an actual salon, it turns out wonderful. At least mine did. If you want a cut, please go to a professional that you can feel truly safe with. I thought I was doing my hair a good deed by getting the ends snipped off, along with going from shoulder to lower lip length to restore some strength and healthiness. Id kill to have my split ends back, rather than looking like Coconut Head from Neds Declassified.

I had a wonderful salon experience with Samantha Taylor. She has done my nails, highlight and low lights on my hair, an amazing blow outs and beautiful hair cuts. When Samantha did my nails she made me feel very relaxed. She took her time and worked hard to make sure that she was giving me the service I wanted. She massaged my hands very nicely. The massage creams she used were wonderful, my skin felt very hydrated and refreshed! When Samantha did the Highlights and lowlights on my hair she took her time and very patient helping me find the color I wanted and made sure that she would use a color line that was hypoallergenic and would not cause an allergic reaction for my sensitive skin. When Samantha cut my hair she made sure that she confirmed the length and style I wanted. And her finishing skills are amazing. My hair is always so smooth and shiny, NOT frizzy! I never want to wash my hair after my appointment with her because she does such a good job! All in all I would recommend Samantha Taylor for any of your salon needs! She is very polite, patient, kind and professional!

I would totally recommend heading to the Salon Professional Academy Shorewood and requesting Samantha Taylor!! Recently I had a manicure/pedicure with Sam and had the BEST appointment I have EVER had for these services!! I was Super impressed with the professionalism and personal attention she provided! I regularly have my nails done as I am disabled and have trouble myself. For 25 years of nail appointments where I often feel uncomfortable not understanding what the tech is saying ABOUT me, and NO conversation WITH ME except for confirming Polish Color, She was a Breath of Fresh Air!! I had a completely Comfortable experience conversing with her and enjoyed every moment of my appointment! Samantha took great care to massage my hands and feet. Besides being awesome to talk with, she took her time and used several different massage creams I have Never gotten before! I Highly Suggest this location And Tech: Samantha Taylor for your next salon experience! In fact, Im calling tomorrow to schedule my next visit! See you soon, Samantha!

Samantha Taylor has done my hair and nails several times and she does an excellent job! She takes her time and makes sure that she does what I want. When she does my hair she always asks how I have liked it and how it has been working out so if there are any changes to my needs, she will make them. She confirms how much I want off and whats a good length. She also colors my hair to touch up and hide the gray. The results are amazing. When Samantha does my nails she is very thorough and gets all of my cuticles off and she files and shapes my nails very nicely. She also uses several different massage creams and my hands feel very soft. I would highly recommend Samantha Taylor for your next salon service. I am looking forward to my next visit with Samantha.

How embarrassing that my girlfriend had to come right home after her appointment this morning because she had dye marks all over her face and ears - refusing to go out in public like this. Im not a professional of hair cutting and im about to take the scissors to even out the HORRIBLE hair cut she received, too. The best part is that Salon Professional is a hair school and the crabby teacher I heard about didnt double check her cut at the end of her visit. Too many mistakes were made at this location and its safe to say they lost a good paying customer AFTER HER FIRST AND ONLY VISIT. The student should give up totally on beauty school and cutting hair for a living. Just wow

I, once again, had an amazing visit with Samantha today. She trimmed, toned and conditioned my hair, for a refreshing summer look. She finished up my visit with eyebrow wax and manicure, for an invigorating update to keep me feeling beautiful. Samantha is always the ultimate professional, attentive to my wishes, ensuring I leave thrilled with her work Everytime! I am a definite fan of Samantha Taylors skilled services. I look forward to my next visit with her for a pedicure with leg massage and whatever other delightful treatment I choose for that day. MaryAnn is my stylist at TSPA. She is the only student I will go to. I am very particular about my hair, and she meets and exceeds everything in my service. I recently went in for a color change and undercut, and she recreated the pictures I showed her. She not only cuts my hair: she cleans my eyebrows, sideburns, facial hair and shapes the back of my hair evenly. She not only dyes my hair: there are no bleed marks, or marks on my skin, and it always turns out exactly how I want it. I highly recommend her. Very well skilled and genuinely cares about making her customers happy.

Today, Friday, 1/3/14 I went into The Salon Professional Academy in Shorewood, IL. Everyone is so nice there. The educators really help their students. I was Ebonys customer. She did a fantastic job on my hair today. I have pretty long and very thick hair. I was there a couple of hours. I wanted a lighter tone then my original color with blonde highlights. Ebony did what I really wanted. Thank you so much Ebony. I love my hair. I know that you didnt like my frizzy hair when I left. Next time I will let you take the frizzies out of my hair. Thanks Kim
