I know this place looks pretty from the outside and is enticing when you go in with the fenced in playground and the huge indoor play center. Its also going to be enticing because they are cheaper in the area and they are willing to work with you on the price but please, I beg you PLEASE see through the facade and turn around and walk out. We had some of the most horrible experiences here. My child was left alone in a classroom for 5 minutes and all the director said was oops. She was told by her teacher to pee her pants if she didnt want to walk into the bathroom in their classroom that had an inch of pee in it that nobody thought it was their job to clean up. She was also lost on the bus for 45 minutes with the director not making an attempt to contact the driver or the schools she picks up from to see where they were. Now they have hired a teacher that was fired on the spot for dragging a child by their ear across the floor and are using her as a mentor. Please consider sending your child somewhere where they really care about children.

This is the worse experience I got from this place. If you send your kid there, just be aware of this place. They have a rip-off policy. It happened to me when I sent my child there. He was 2 years old ($165/per week for half day). He had stayed there for 3 days, and he had been crying for those days, It was totally understandable. I though he was not ready to be away from family. So, the the 4th day, I kept him at home because he was sick, and I decided to keep him at home for a little bit more until hes ready. Therefore, I left at message on the Children of America on Sunday that I was going to keep my boy at home. Few months later, they sent me a collection letter said that I owed the Children of American $331.20. I went back to the facility, and the owner said that I had to pay for additional two weeks. So, basically, when you send you kid there, you automatically pay two weeks + whatever days your kid stay there. What the rip-off place? So, if you decide to send your kids there, just be aware of their policy.

My son has been going to Children of America for a 1 1/2 years. I have been extremely happy since we took our first tour. The teachers and staff are amazing. They all have treated my son and my family as if we were part of their family. The tuition is reasonable but the most important thing to me was the people that would be acting as his mommy while I am unable to be with him all day. All teachers and staff that I have encountered are friendly, compassionate and are excellent teachers. I couldnt imagine a better place for my son!!! Thank you Children of America for helping to shape my son into a kind, caring, helpful, happy and fun little man!! I appreciate all you do to create a fun and safe place for him to grow.

My three sons attend this center and absolutely love it, my oldest two have been here for 5 1/2 years and my youngest since he was 6 weeks old. They are always upset on our "stay home" days because they want to be at school with their friends. Each of their teachers are very warm with their welcomings each morning and their goodbyes each night, they also have the day fully struckered with learning. They always make learning fun for the kids by eaither doing art, writing, playing games, etc. I couldnt be happier that Ive chosen Children of Americas South Elgin location for my child care needs. Im excited for the years to come and seeing what else they can teach my sons!!!

Just this afternoon, my husband and I went in for a tour of their South Elgin facility and the door was propped open, staff was not friendly and more importantly we were discriminated. The facility staff automatically assumed we were applying for subsidy rates. We agree that their rate policy does not make sense. It was explained that my childs rate for a full-time five day rate would not decrease when my child converted to a part-time half day starting full-time kindergarten. Extremely disappointed, glad we shopped around before committing to this horrible place!

Pulled my 3 1/2 month old daughter out of this facility after the second day. The staff fed her the wrong ounces amount even though the bottles were prepared to specific feeding amounts, thought at one point they fed her spoiled formula, and didnt change her properly for numerous hours. Although the staff was honest and told us what happened the executive administration and corporate office failed to respond to us. Also they charged us for the two days of "care". I would review ALL your options in Elgin/South Elgin before seriously considering this facility.

The director and assistant director are very rude. Was interested in bringing kid to daycare. Went on tour but was not able to meet teacher so I came back to do observe teacher and was not allowed to. This was a lie because i spoke to corporate and the cebter earlier the day before. After asking Kristen the director stated that I would not be good a fit for daycare. We called back on later that day to speak to Kristen and assistant director Megan. They were very rude and used vulgar language. Terrible place!!!

I am always greeted with a warm and caring smile and the facility is always clean and very child friendly. I am very appreciative of their attitude, attention to detail and dedication to provide a protective, safe and family friendly atmosphere. When I leave the facility, I am completely at peace knowing my little one is safe and is in the very best of care.

I could not be happier with this school! My son has grown so much since he first started there - he always come home happy and telling me all kinds of stories about his day. I am very grateful for COAs staff and the attention my boy gets there. I would highly recommend this school to any parent. Thanks COA!
