Own a 2008 Ford Escape XLT. Dealer wanted $199 for programming and $89 for transponder that I lost. So, I used my backup transponder to find match on EBay (took 5 minutes and cost $24 for used item with free shipping - used MidAtlantic Lock Smith on EBay). 3 days later when transponder arrived, I brought to KeyWay and the people there were great. Told me it would cost $65 to program and if it didnt work they would credit me on the purchase of a new transponder. Sounded good to me. And 15 minutes later I had a working transponder and drove away very pleased. I highly recommend these folks.

Office set up appointment for 4 to 5 pm on Saturday. I was busy and did not receive the call at 1 from the technician saying he could arrive earlier. The technician lives in Lake Zurich and the call was for Elmhurst. I called about 5 to see where there were. Response was he was in Lake Zurich. Wanted to reschedule for Monday. Sorry I do not revolve around technicians time frame and had a time set up. Not only that his technician is too far to service Elmhurst. Very poor service will not ever call again and I will blacklist this company.

I just called them from Des Plaines regarding commercial locks and said I was coming there...i asked and made sure that the store closes at 2 pm. I have arrived at the store and 1:54 pm and the door were closed and no one inside. Just waisted 45 minutes for nothing and I closed my business to get here on time. I dont understand how closing 6 minutes earlier made a such huge difference for them. It sure did for me. They suck !!!

Jake came out and gave me an estimate for the door closer at my office. He was very professional when explaining to me what the issue with the door closer was and where it should be positioned and was not. The whole thing needed to be replaced. He came out and replaced it a few days later when we were in the office an within a half hour of him getting there everything was fixed and working properly. Thank you Jake!!!!

No one was in a hurry. Gave me the wrong entry lock. Went to return and was told that because I had lost the key he could not take it back. The rest of the screws and plates were not even opened. I thought they make keys there. Not friendly but if you ask the owner about himself he will tell you how great he is. If i could give negative stars I would. DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF HERE!

Fantastic experience. Last minute emergency need on my part. I called just as they were closing looking for an odd part. They had more than one in stock although I only needed one. I went to Keyway Lock to get the remote for my car replaced because the dealership wanted to charge me an arm and a leg. The owner Steve gave me a great price and had it done in only a few minutes. Needed a key fob blank cut for us. Was previously told $30 and today guy was trying to charge $40. Guy at counter didnt look to bright when i told him another employee gave a cheaper price days before . Found Dupage Lock Solutions in Addison. They took care of it for $20. DO NOT waste your precious time with these jokers.

I was looking for a hard to find key for my new mailbox lock. Home Depot wasted my time trying to make copies. Keyway did not have the key in stock. However, not only did they go to a supplier to pick up the keys but they even came and got the key from me to make the copies. Great customer service.

They charged my parents $27 for a key fob battery change... took them 3 mins to do the job and the batery cost $5 at the autozobe near by. I guess thats what they do when an older individual goes for a service and they take advantage of their ignorance in prices.

Stopped here the other day to get a bunch of duplicate keys made. The locksmith, David Short was friendly, fast and accurate! The place is small and easy to miss, but worth looking for. Not too many locksmiths around anymore and this one is a good one!

Forgot going anywhere else. I was denied by 3 other locksmiths because they couldnt,copy the key to my 2013 ford. Jake was a wealth of knowledge and explained that the other locksmiths simply cloned the key. A+ wouldnt recommend anywhere else.
