I tried Mission on a recommendation when I had just been quoted $1200 on axle repair from Meineke and was desperate for a second opinion. Mission did all the work for half that. They are always very thorough and honest. They have taken me into the shop a few times to show me things and explain issues and even left my car on the lift when I came to pick it up so they could show me my exhaust to explain the noises it was making. They always charge fairly on parts and are willing to work with refurbished or your own parts at your request. Make an appointment a week or two in advance, because they can be tough to get in with (but its only because theyre that good, and consequently, busy.) Theyre also always just really nice to deal with, on the phone and in person. Solid people. Dana (the owner) and his staff are the only people I trust with my car now. My only regret is that I didnt find them sooner.

I feel very lucky to have found this place. The first time I took my car in, I had been to just been another place which had diagnosed my car with a problem that would be very expensive to fix. I had decided to wait to have the work done because of the money, however my car didnt wait. In an emergency, I went to Mission Auto Care. The owner not only corrected the original diagnosis, but told me that it would be more expensive for me to buy the parts from them, and took the time to find a different seller from whom I could get the best price, at NO charge. Their prices are much more reasonable than any other that I have found in Bloomington, the people are always extremely friendly, and any work that I have had done there has been solid. No problems. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I havent had any problems yet with the actual repair but when I got the car back theyd forgotten to reconnect the horn (easy mistake), shut my seat buckle in the door and broke all the plastic off it (eh), and lost the round piece on the handle to roll down the window (cmon now). But they were fairly inexpensive and friendly so I tried to go back for repairs again and they did NOT return messages promptly or told me they would call me back multiple times and failed to do so, waiting on their unreturned calls (and them not answering any calls to the shop) caused me not to be able to get my car into another repair shop and I missed a trip Id been planning for months. Very displeased, particularly with the obvious carelessness shown in handling my car.

I called ahead and scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance. When I went in there today, they told me how they actually didnt have an appointment for me. As an IUB student, my transportation is my car. They said that they could get me in today, but I wouldnt be able to pick up my car until later this afternoon. When I called, they said it would be done by noon, so I scheduled around that. They didnt have a waiting room. The next appointment they had was scheduled two weeks out. Ultimately, I decided not to have my car serviced through them. I think its very unprofessional to not write appointments down. Let alone this place looks like a hole in the wall and they didnt seem too upset over the loss of business.

I brought in my blazer that refused to start below 30 degrees. I had taken it to three other places and the problem was a mystery. It took a three visits of 3-7 days each, but due to the persistence of the team there I my car is running great and has been better than ever in this crazy Indiana weather, fires right up in the 5 degrees and snow. For a college kid I was worried about money after three visits but they made sure the third was free, and the invoice is pending on refunding me for the second visit as well along with any labor costs after the first visit. They genuinely care about the customer, are very honest, and will stay with it until the jobs done right. Highly recommend these guys

It took 1.5 weeks to get an appointment. I dropped my car off for antifreeze leakage. DJ missed the leaking hose behind the engine and replaced wrong hose. I had engine overheat, big antifreeze leakage and had to call AAA to tow my car the following business day. They replaced the hose behind the engine. However, they left the work half finished because DJ and Dana wanted to charge me twice complaining my car is old and I refused. They lied to me that the work was completed and asked me to pick up the car. They left my power steering pump driver belt and bolt loose, and I had to go to a different shop to get fixed. By the way, they also charge for diagnostics.

I called Mission Auto panicked the Monday before Thanksgiving (and less than two weeks before my due date) because my car started making a very loud rumbling sound and shaking horribly when idling. The owner told me he was booked, but that if I swung by towards end of day he would take a look at it and see what he could do. It was an exhaust issue and he recommended a muffler shop that ended up fixing it same day for a very reasonable price. My husband and I were both so impressed with the owners kindness, honesty, and expertise. He didnt have to fit us in his schedule, and I am so grateful that he did! I would absolutely recommend Mission Auto.

I recommend Mission Auto Care. I went in to get a pre-purchase inspection for a car I ended up buying. Without even having an appointment DJ checked out everything in my car, hooked it up to a computer, gave it a test drive, and filled me in with some helpful pointers about my car maintenance when I expressed my interest in learning more about my car. He was helpful, kind, personable, and gave me a good deal! I will be returning there when I need something fixed!

Called four places and they were the cheapest, but followed that up with stellar service and going out of their way to save me more money on parts. I always recommend them and have had my car in (unfortunately) several times. If there is a downside it is that there facility is older and appears a bit dilapidated, but I dont mind if it saves me $$ and I continue to get the excellent service that they have given. Nice to have honest mechanics in the world.

Great customer service! All the reviews I read said this place was good, but I was truely impressed that they lived up to my expectations and more. They were friendly, imformative, completed work quickly, and showed a level of care I have never recieved from any other auto repair shop. I would highly recommend Mission Auto Care and plan to return for any futhur auto needs.

We were passing through Bloomington on a road trip, when our cars headlight blew out - stranding us until we found a fix. DJ dropped everything so he could help us out immediately, as though we were long lost friends, fixed us up and then refused to accept payment. Amazing experience - its awesome to run into this kind of kindness.
