I am not sure what Ashley is talking about, if you call to ask them "about it a movie", whatever that means i am sure they will be kind, curteous and helpful. They are happy to accept phone calls about movies, answer questions about movies, or simply discuss the rich world of film. During my time at IU this has been one of the most important places in cultivating my love and respect of film. Their selection focuses on quality over quantity, with a stunning collection of independant, foreign, and art-house titles. They are a great locally owned buisness open everyday from 4-12 pm. The "rental store" is a rapidly dying breed. If you are like me and enjoy going to a rental store and actually looking over the covers of films, and talking to knowledgable helpful people about those films, check out Plan 9 Film Emporium. These are services that netflix cannot provide you. If you want to sit like a moron and watch the same Tom Cruise bullshit every weekend, by all means take your buisness to Redbox. Just please try to be sentient about exactly what your dollar is doing in the market. with love, Austin Criner

Great experience, and I really appreciate that they exist. Its a service that netflix and redbox dont provide with greater selections of movies and the ability to rent same night. BUT Their hours may as well be by appointment during the summer. Ive gone there several times to see a sign in the window saying theyre closed, and on a couple occasions no sign of explanation, just nothing there but a sign saying they should be open. This is also a new issue since I moved back to town this summer, it wasnt an issue in summers past. tl;dr call ahead before you go on a whim, or it may not be open. Ill see if it changes once the school year starts, and change my rating accordingly.

This place has quite a bit of variety ranging from box office hits to foreign films to cult classics. Although it was kind of hard to find a particular film with each shelf having multiple movie genres on it, the friendly cashier helped me to locate the film I was looking for. The rental itself was a tad on the pricey side when compared to services like Redbox. However, their large selection of films is unmatched. If you consider yourself a movie buff or if you just want to watch something new, then you should definitely check this place out.

The person the who answers the phone is a COMPLETELY rude person. They show up on google as a movie rental place but then get mad if you call and ask them about it a movie. They should get that fixed if they dont want phone calls about movies. I wouldnt go to them even if I were looking for "adult gifts." The people obviously havent got laid in a million years, so I doubt they could help you out in that department.
