Came here on to send a couple packages. One required extra forms and the lady at the counter was nice and gave me the paperwork and filled out this at another counter. Meanwhile, a older couple came in with passport applications. So there I stood in line for 20 minutes waiting. I finally asked another employee to see if I could talk with the postmaster. He asked me if he could help me?. I said well look, there are 6 people now in line, one has walked off and I have been now waiting over 25 minutes while there is 10 postal employees in the back? He responded that he was getting another person to come up and help. 5 minutes later, there were 2 more people behind the counter for a total of three employees working the front. It would seem to be clear to me that this post office really needs a hand on postmaster. To have customers leave is a loss of business not to mention really poor customer service. Why on earth would you have 10 employees in the back and 1 person working in the front trying to bring in the money for services?

My family loves living in Franklin, its a great small town where just about everyone knows each other, except for the post office. Not only can they not figure out the difference between West and East on the Address label (over a dozen packages have been mis-delivered to our address this year), but our daily mail arrives super late-sometimes as late as 8pm. Ive met one delivery person and they were really nice, friendly and knew their route-that was 8 years ago and they are no longer on our route. Perhaps they can hire better delivery people in the future, or teach their staff to read the actual names and addresses of the people where they are delivering their packages. I have had to do their job for them by delivering mail, and that comes from small town kindness.

My package was deemed to be a insufficient address (it has worked fine hundreds of other times including junk mail)... I tried to call them as I was at work so they would not return it to the sender. Well after repeatedly calling through out most the morning/early afternoon and getting a busy signal I called the national hotline. Very unhelpful... directed me to local post office. I told them I couldnt get through and they pretty much told me I was screwed. There is a reason the post office is struggling folks.... just saying.

This is the most incompetent group of government employees I have ever dealt with. I had them hold my mail while I was out of town for three weeks. Upon return I went to pick up my mail and they dont know where its at. How does the post office lose three weeks worth of mail? Every last employee there needs to be fired.
