This place needs to be shut down! Their service is completely HORRIBLE. I ordered two items by second day mail. The first item I had to pick up at the post office because the mail carrier was too lazy to walk up three flights of stairs to deliver the item. Instead, he/she, left notice in mailbox without even coming to the door and knocking or ringing the doorbell. When I called the Supervisor, she made excuses for the LAZY mail carrier. When I went to pick up item, the line was long and when I got to the counter, I was told it wasnt there. The supervisor on the phone had just told me it was there. After about 40 minutes, it took three guys to find the package. The second item the mail carrier marked as DELIVERED, and guess what? I havent even gotten it. I tracked the package online, and the mail carrier placed it as delivered. I dont know where the package is. When you call, all you get is a BUSY signal. This palce is just plain LAME and WORTHLESS! ****UPDATE** 02/05/2014 I went back to the Post Office this morning to speak with the supervisor. He tried over and over to locate the package, but it wasnt found. I was told that our route doesnt have a permanent carrier and that the sub carrier could have delivered the package to the wrong address. He took my name and number and said he would call the next day 02/06/2014...I went home, seen a NEW carrier and asked her to check the mailboxes to see if MY package was in another box. She was very kind to open the mailboxes and guess what? MY package was in someone elses mailbox! How lame!!!! This Post Office must do better. I also had a 500.00 insurance check that was mailed two weeks ago, and I havent seen it as of yet, I wonder who has it!!!!!

Worst post office ever. Employees are sluggish, extremely slow, and disdainful of most people who come in. Post office consistently marks things as delivered days before they actually deliver them. LIES. You waste time tracking it and they just say, our system says it was delivered. But it wasnt. When I complained, post office retaliated by slicing open my package on 3 sides, removing the clothing, taking them out of internal bags, rolling them in mud and water so they are DRIPPING MUD and ruined. Next days box was crushed completely and ripped. When I complained, supervisor named John called me and screamed at me for 20 minutes saying this is his job and how dare I criticize how they do their job or accuse them of marking delivered when not actually delivered. 1800askusps says this post office has many complaints of this activity and advised me to file complaint with Office of Inspector General, which I did, along with everyone else they advised me to do. Every time I come there is a very long line, no matter what time, and they never alter their movements to speed up or add another person. Sometimes a manager comes out when the line is long at Christmas and says she can help if you need X or Y, but no one needs those services, so its no help at all. Why cant she open a lane and be actually helpful? Also, the window for package pickup is never open even though it is supposed to be. Everyone working here should be fired and forced to work somewhere where performance actually matters.

Literally the worst group of people to ever possibly handle your mail. They are completely incapable of accurately delivering a parcel of mail. On any given week I am likely to receive in between 1 to 5 pieces of mail that are not mine. The last time this happened was 2 days ago when I recieved someones paycheck. The address was not even close to mine. I constantly recieve subscription magazines for people who live all up and down my street. Several weeks back on the same day I received an AARP magazine for my next door neighbor and a Popular Science magazine for someone who lives 6 blocks away. Seriously I live in the 1300 block and this person lives at 735. To days later I received his Popular Mechanics. About 6 to 8 weeks ago I received a $160 Bluetooth speaker that was supposed to go to a nice lady that lives one street over. I have had to take it upon myself to become a mail carrier to redeliver all the misdelivered mail I recieve. I myself constantly do not recieve my utility bills causing me to be late on my electric bill last month. Furthermore after not recieving hundreds of dollars worth of electronics that Ive had shipped to me via mutiple orders I have ceased having anything mailed to my residence. I have anything of any importance mailed to my mothers house in the east end. I spoke with all the neighbors in my building and they all do the same. P.S. the staff has a perpensity for lying to you when you inquire about you lost packages.

It was very hard for me to track my package down but Im so grateful for USPS because they did everything they could to make sure the package ended up in my hands in one piece. So before you get frustrated and upset at USPS, they might just be taking extra good care of your package! DETAILS: I had a package that I never received from Kohls. The email I got from Kohls said it was delivered at 2:15pm but then at 8pm it was attempted with a note with instructions on my door but there was NO instructions left. I called the USPS 800 number and spoke to a very friendly lady who said someone will be give me a call within 1 to 3 days. The same day I got a call from a very nice gentleman who said it will be at the Baxter Ave. post office. A day later I went to the Baxter post office and it was not there so they sent me to the downtown post office. The lady here explained to me that the carrier probably didnt feel it was safe or there wasnt anywhere to drop the package - *I think this is great, I live in Germantown (very safe neighborhood) but weve had issues with people stealing packages from front porches. In the end, my package was never delivered to the post office the gentleman said it was - it was left on the supervisors desk because the package was damaged. THANK YOU USPS FOR TAKING SUCH GOOD CARE OF MY PACKAGE AND MAKING SURE IT GOT TO ME IN A GOOD CONDITION!

WOW! Their mail carrier on our route is HORRIBLE!!!! I have been down to the local Post office on 7th street to complain about packages NOT being delivered and IMPORTANT mail being placed in the wrong box. I get email "tracking" messages on my phone from the Post Office letting me know when my package is being delivered. Well, our postal carrier NEVER brings the packages up to our door. He ALWAYS put a brown slip in our door and MAKES us go to the post office to retrieve our packages, which is a GREAT inconvenience. We have complained many times to the supervisor, but the mail carrier continues to do the same thing over and over again. Today, we got an email alert saying our package was out for delivery. When out mail carrier arrived, I decided to video record his actions, and low and behold, he didnt disappoint. He stood at his mail truck and filled out several brown slips and tossed the packages back in the truck. When I went to check my mailbox, the "brown slip" was in the mailbox. This is unacceptable, unprofessional, hateful, disgusting, rude, negligent and gross! I am thinking about filing complaints to someone other than the local supervisor! We now believe that he is doing this on purpose because we have complained about him to his supervisor.
