Since I’ve had several people ask me what happened at Roberts Salon and Day Spa I am now going to give the entire story. I was in need of a haircut and was recommended this salon by a friend. Since this was my birthday present, I decided I would treat myself to a salon experience. You can’t go wrong with $35 haircuts, right? Wrong. Initially my stylist hardly trimmed my hair. What I asked for was for it to be thinned out so it would lie better (it’s thick and gets poufy around the crown). Not much was done aside from my ends being trimmed and a balayage. After a day or so I decide that it’s still too poufy for my liking and desired a correction. I scheduled to come in Saturday. We talked about making my hair a bit more even. I told my stylist if it meant taking a little length off of the bottom to make it appear more even I wouldn’t be totally opposed to doing that. I didn’t realize that what my stylist was doing was giving me what she even called a “scene mullet” (if you don’t know what it is think about the kids you saw hanging at your local mall around 2005). The front length and bottom remained relatively the same, so I didn’t notice the massive discrepancy between the back of my hair length (not even 1 ½ inches at the longest) to the bottom and side layers (around 5 inches in length). Mullet. A flipping mullet. Not to mention she cut off quite a bit of the balayage I had just spent $70 on. I can/will provide pictures of my before, what I asked for, and after. So a few more days go by and I decide that I absolutely loathe my hair. After a few unsolicited opinions and a few I asked for, I decided I wanted to get my money back. I couldn’t get my hair, but the money I spent to acquire this atrocious haircut for my birthday (and months before my WEDDING) back in my bank account would make me feel better while I licked my wounds. I called the salon and was never contacted back by management, so I made an appearance in the salon in person. I was set up with one of the head stylists Michelle. She confirmed that my haircut was a disaster and vowed to help me fix the mistake to the best of her ability. She gave me her personal cell number. I contacted her within a few days to bounce some ideas off her about styles and colors. She told me to text her on or after Wednesday May 25th, which I did. I received no reply. Saturday June 4th I sent another text to which I received no response. I again called the salon to let them know what I was told and what was going on. Wednesday June 8th I received a text asking me if I could come in the day OF at 3:30 (mind you I work a full time job and my daughters father was at Army annual training). This was after I had called Roberts complaining. I simply told Michelle management can contact me. I left a bad review on the page to which Julie Beckham reached out to me. I went to make another comment several days later and she BLOCKED ME on Facebook AND the comments on my Facebook review were deleted (?!?!?). She was very condescending to me over the phone as well. I would overall never suggest this salon to ANYONE. Bless your heart if you took your time to read all of this post. I have more specific times and dates but they’re not on me as of right now. I was finally sent a refund check in the mail. Julie told me over the phone that they *usually* don’t do this, but since I pressed so hard they refunded me a whopping $45.

My friend and I went here for a relaxing girls day to get our hair colored we booked ahead of time we came in and my stylist was great my friends not so much they refused to do 2 balayage and then refused to to do a base color....stylist said I dont have time for that....then we were booked for an hour only saw my friends stylist for 10mins then her stylist actually asked her to blow dry her own hair... like thats what we paid for...then the manager told my friend it was her fault that someone booked us wrong time frame....the 2 stylist that took it upon themselves to pay for her bill because the manager wouldnt budge at all about even giving her base color....this trip was a cluster f*** if u understand but Katy and Alexis would be the only 2 stylist I would recommend after I finish my gift card there we will not be returning....

This is the most overpriced and unprofessional business I have ever seen! My daughter made an apointment with their best colorist, but when she arrived they put her with the newest girl they had. This girl scalded her head, was rude, and totally messed up her hair! It was two different colors! No one will return our calls, especially Robert himself, who chooses to ignore the situation! She paid $117 which is alot of money anyway, but she is single and pregnant, and on a limited budget! She wanted a refund to go and get her hair fixed somewhere else..they will not return calls. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone! Go to Great Clips!!!!!!

I am astonished at how unprofessional and rude this company is! The only time anyone was nice was in the beginning when i was setting up my appointment. When I walked in there were four or five girls standing around like vultures waiting for someone to walk through the front doors. They have the most fake smiles and are super snoody! The reason I made the appointment was for a cut/color. The colorist was extremely rude. She wanted to do my hair HER way and told me that the way I wanted my hair colored was outdated. I will not be returning to this business ever!

I have been visiting this salon for years! Its the only salon I will visit to get a cut and color because they always do a great job! Their new stylists must go through an apprentice period in the salon before they are allowed to work alone with a client! It is pricey, but I think its worth every penny

I would not recommend this place to anybody. Their stylist, or at least one of them, totally messed up my daughters hair. Of course they promised her the moon to correct the situation. They didnt make good on their promises and customer service was awful to say the least.

Average experience there, overall was just okay, but expected more when paying close to $90. Was very disappointed that I had to ask them to finish blow drying my hair after getting color and it washed, felt like that was expected when paying to get hair done.

High priced of course...but trust them with my hair. I had not had my hair done since the Spa I used to go to burned down 3 years ago. Hair super long and was in desperate need of getting Done. Turned out beautiful!

Great salon and spa with a friendly staff. Been going here since I moved to Indy a few years ago and have never been disappointed by the service, products and the people who work here.
