After moving over 500 mi. away, when calling to cancel my account due to proximity of nearest anytime fitness at my new location the manager "Steve" was overly difficult. Despite the fact that I confirmed my identity over the phone, he requested I send a signed letter to his address indicating my intent to cancel. I immediately jumped through these ridiculous hoops as soon as I spoke with him in May 16. As of late Aug 16, I noticed they were still deducting unauthorized funds from my account. When I called and spoke to an employee there, he requested an email write up of the situation and mentioned that manager "Steve" would be getting back to me. After not hearing anything for 5 days I called back, and said employee was standoffish per what must have clearly been marching orders from "Steve."... This guy is a crook, plain and simple. Until they are under different management I would do yourself a favor and avoid this place. It is really small relative to other anytime locations and lacks a lot of basic fitness equipment anyway.

I was not very pleased with the way their contracts worked. If you thinking about joining please read or have their staff explain the fine print of their contracts. After being with them for 3 years and along the way having kids time was limited to go to the gym. I was told in order to cancel the membership I have to mail a written letter and give them a 30 day notice of cancellation which will, of course, bill me for another month. I was told that I cannot cancel in person it had to be mail. Furthermore I dont know if the general public knows that each club is independently onwed and each club has a different way of handling business. I had moved to a different side of town and after going a new gym your membership will automatically transfer to that new location after a certain period of time. NEVER have I had a more difficult time canceling something than I have with anytime fitness.

I have never been to a gym with such a rude, pushy, staff in my life! The lady who made herself out to be the manager actually told us we were wasting her time because we would not give her our debit cards so she could "charge" them later! She said our passes which we got off the website to "try out" the gym meant NOTHING to her and were a waste. I wouldnt give this place a dime....she was unprofessional and RUDE!

Im a member of another anytime fitness club and stopped by for a work out on this side of town and I impressed how clean the club was! Very modern with awesome atmosphere! Steve was extremely helpful as well!
