I took my daughter here for almost a year due its proximity to my house. My daughter generally enjoyed the classes, which is why I stuck it out so long. However, this place is extremely unorganized - one person would give an answer but then another would tell you something completely different. It was a nightmare as a customer and parent. I repeatedly had issues with the owner being disrespectful, rude and providing false or inadequate information. For example, when ordering shoes for what I was told would be for the competition by the owner, turned out to just be shoes for Rehearsal (several other parents were told the same thing). When competition rolled around, several of the parents brought our concerns up and the owner accused us of lying. Next, several parents were told that the fees were X - period. Then the studio sprang on those parents that they actually owed double the money because of what their children were doing. Again, those parents were told that they were lying or did not talk to the correct person by the owner - which is the person that actually went over the fees with them in the first place. Lastly, the atmosphere is negative. Walking in, you can feel so much tension and chaos. The owner perpetuates this with her condescending comments to the parents and children. She is unprofessional on a variety of levels. I finally had enough of it when the owner decided to make a nasty comment to me out of absolutely nowhere - she was just walking by and said it as I was peering in my daughters class room. I would not recommend this studio to anyone, under any circumstance. There are several other studios with better reputations, more class options and professional, respectful staff members.

Dance Legacy has become our extended family. My daughter began taking a half hour ballet class each week at age 4. At the end of the season she requested to take an hour class the following year. That same year at recital she told me she wanted to spend more time on stage. Year 3, she auditioned to be in the company. Fast forward... my daughter is now 13 and in her ninth season with the studio. Each year at the end of the season I ask if she wants to continue and I always receive an enthusiastic YES from her. You see, at Dance Legacy my daughter is not only learning multiple styles of dance but she is learning about life. Shes been taught strength, teamwork, dedication, and confidence. She is learning to accept critiques and translate them into positive growth. She is learning to win with grace and lose with dignity. She is learning a true bond with teachers who see her potential and wont let her stop until she sees it too. With any family there are days when fatigue and frustrations set in. However, my daughter never wants to give up. This last year we have endured probably the lowest point in our lives and had one of the greatest personal wins. Through it all our Dance Legacy family was with us, crying and cheering. Dance Legacy has become and will remain our studio home.

I did not enjoy my experience at Dance Legacy and would not recommend sending your child there. To start, the parking lot is insane. There simply are not enough spots for everyone. Having said this, they reserve spots up close for the owner and dance instructors. I never understood that. Once inside the different dance rooms, it is nearly impossible for you to hear the instructions from the teacher because all you can hear is the loud music from the other classes. They have crammed way too much into this outdated building and it cannot support all they have going on. I dont feel welcomed there and quite honestly cant tell who is in charge. The people behind the desk always seem to have their children with them that they are taking care of at the same time, so getting answers to your questions is difficult. I find it to be overpriced as well. And they have you stuck because the performance isnt until the summer, yet they make you pay the recital and costume fee in the fall, so you would be out almost $200. Do yourself a favor and continue to search for a more professional place to send your child. This place isnt worth your time or money.

If you like unprofessional, rude and unorganized places to take your children for a frustrating experience, then this is the place for you. While you are paying for your child to be a member you will be happy to hear that you also get the absolutely FREE benefit of being looked down on by the owner with her snide remarks and at the same time having to pay for things multiple times as they cant pull theirs heads out of their asses and get half way organized. If I could give negative stars I would. We just couldnt take the negative and chaotic environment anymore. There are so many other dance studios out there that are so much better. If you choose to use this dance studio enjoy your misery and frustrations.

My daughter has been taking classes at Dance Legacy since she was three years old, she is now 7. She started as a recreational student and after two years she moved into the Dance Company. I am amazed as to how much she has grown as a dancer at Dance Legacy. The teachers and staff are wonderful to work with and are great with the children. Dancing at Dance Legacy has increased her confidence, there is nothing she is afraid to do. We love it there!

Legacy Karate is fantastic. My son has been attending for a little less than a year and he absolutely loves it! The Sensei is a great teacher, he not only teaches Karate techniques but also teaches self-control and responsibility - and my sons confidence level has sky-rocketed. I would recommend Legacy Karate to anyone that is interested in learning the martial art and so much more.
