My son passed away nearly four weeks ago. I selected Sproles Familiy Funeral Home randomly because the Coroners Office in Cincinnati needed to send his body home. When I walked into Sproles .... Tom Sproles met us at the door and that was it .... I knew from that moment that it was the right choice! Tom introduced our family to David Frederick. David took what was so overwhelming and emotional and simplified things for us, therefore, making our decisions a much easier process. He was superior and was there to help in every decision no matter how small. His attention to detail was unsurpassed -- I will always be grateful. Travis looked very handsome and the room and all the arrangements from the calling to the funeral were beyond compare - absolutely perfect! We had many comments about how unique and wonderful they thought his funeral was. Davids communication skills were so great -- he knew what he was talking about. So compassionate, caring, and very patient. His knowledge of our sons marine corp. Veteran death benefits were of great help (we did not know he might qualify for something like that) and very appreciated. David and Tom were there for our family in setting up our 4-year-old granddaughter, Olivias memorial fund -- what a lovely surprise - thank you, we did not anticipate that. David and Tom was certainly there for every need no matter how large or small ... it truly is these little unexpected acts of kindness that are worth more than gold. I cant imagine going anywhere else in New Castle -- the funeral home was so beautiful and well-kept. I would not chose any other now that the secret is out. From the bottom of our hearts .... thank you David, Tom, Jr. and Tom, Sr. and all of the precious Sproles staff for all their warmth and caring through this very difficult time. Your service is impeccable ... your extra attention to all the many details and the many extra things you did will always be remembered and appreciated. Dear Tom and Sproles Family, We chose Sproles Funeral Home for a 2nd time for my mothers passing Dr. Agnes Tabares. We had chosen Sproles when Moms sister passed 2 years ago and we were so pleased with them that we made pre-arrangements back in December of 2009 for my mother and father. Tom and his family make you feel so comfortable and they pay attention to every detail. At a terrible time such as the loss of a loved one they make you feel like you are part of their family. They treat you with respect and dignity. Toms mother was nice enough to fix us a breakfast casserole, bring a gallon of juice and muffins to our home back in 2008. This time when mom passed away we did not have a home in New Castle any longer but Toms mother fixed the casserole and made sure that we took it home after the viewing. They are all so gracious and helpful. You just feel like you are being well taken care of when you go there. I cannot express in words the gratitude that our family feels towards the Sproles. Sproles went above and beyond for my family. The week my brother passed was one of the worst weeks of my life, and making all of the necessary arrangements seemed so overwhelming at first. Dave Frederick, the Director, made the process as easy as possible, so that we could focus on our grief. David was excellent to work with and communicate with-he was prepared, friendly, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, patient, and compassionate. The kindness and attention to details were greatly appreciated. In addition to this, David helped my family sort through and file for some death benefits my brother qualified for as a US Marine Corp Veteran that we were unaware of at the time he passed. In addition to that, he helped us set up a memorial fund for my brothers 4 years old daughter. He also came to our home personally to drop of the donations made as well as all of the flowers sent by friends and family. The funeral home itself was immaculate and beautiful. I highly recommend the Sproles Family and personally feel they are the best in the city.

I would recommend this Funeral Home to EVERYONE!! My Grandfather Passed Away on Valentines Day early in the morning. My Family Called Sproles Family Funeral Home and we were NOT disappointed, Tom Sproles Made a House call at 6:30 pm and stayed for better then two hours helping us make arrangements. He was VERY caring and patient with us as we went through this tough process, Not once did he try to rush us as we carefully picked the options we liked best. Sproles Family Funeral Home went above and beyond their duty From the fixing of the body, The flow of the visitation, The perfectness of the funeral, To Their love and compassion in a time of sadness. Their Funeral home Is GORGEOUS inside and out! You couldnt find a better Funeral home or more caring Staff. I HIGHLY recommend Sproles Family Funeral Home to you in a time of need! On November 17, 2015, our daughter/sister was killed in an automobile accident in South Africa. She was a missionary working with orphan children in Lesotho. Sproles Family Funeral Home was an incredible blessing to us during that time! Tom did an excellent job of coordinating every detail for us including bring her body back here to the U.S.A. Her body arrived here the evening before Thanksgiving and they were able to have her ready for the viewing on Friday afternoon. We were totally amazed how every detail was perfectly taken care for the visitation and funeral. Everyone was so caring and professional. They far exceeded our expectations! Sproles Family Funeral Home handled arrangements for my dad. From the moment my mom and I first met Tom, Sr. and Misty at our home, they were wonderful. David was the funeral director who worked with us, and he was excellent: knowledgeable, patient, responsive, and so kind. His expertise and guidance allowed us to focus on saying goodbye to my dad, rather than worrying about all that needed to happen. My dads services at the funeral home, St. Annes, and the cemetery were comforting and beautiful, and Sproles was a big part of how smoothly it all unfolded.
