I made an appointment to get a cut and bring up my balayage for 4:15. Get up there they tell me its going to be $230 because she was an "elite stylist" so Im like okay is there someone else to do it because I didnt want to pay that much. There was another lady you could do it at 6:30 for around $160. So okay cool tell them Ill do that and Ill come back since its in Plainfield Ill just shop around and get something to eat. Come back at 6:30 and they acted confused because they thought "Ill come back later" meant a different day after we talking about it could be done at 6:30 today? So then they were "slammed" and couldnt get it done and they didnt have time for it. So for one she could have given me a quote over the phone since she knew the "elite" stylists would be doing it and it would be expensive. For two I waited around Plainfield all day for NOTHING. Just got a "oh sorry". Ive been getting my hair done here for a couple years now and unfortunately will never be back. Extremely unprofessional and rude for those elite prices.... lol

Every time I have to enter this store my blood pressure rises. If it werent for the only place in 20 miles to sell a specific Clinque lotion that I love, I would never return. Almost every time I go to Ulta they are OUT of what Im looking for. After 20 minutes of searching for an inexpensive eyeliner brush the General Manager finally aproached me. She gave me a brush, told me it was for eyeliner and it would only cost me $12. Not too bad. Unfortunately, I get home and the GENERAL MANAGER had sold me an eyeBROW brush. (Does NOT work for underneath your eyes.) Also, when I asked if they were out of Naked Two, the woman working said "Yes, weve been out for a long time." What the heck? Double your orders, lady. Along with the long lines, crowded and unorganized aisles, it is a nightmare for a consumer to simply find mascara. I hate this Ulta so much. Do yourself a favor if youre living in Plainfield, drive 20 minutes downtown and go to Sephora. Or better yet, go to the small Sephora inside J.C. Penny.

They dont even get 1 star. I will NOT spend another dime at Ulta. The salon manager, and general manager at the Metropolis, Plainfield lN location are very rude and lie. Of course the salon will match stories to insinuate I am lying about being told how bad stripping my hair was going to be. Im sorry, but any professional hairstylist would know to strip dark hair in different sessions not twice in one session and then add color. Which by the way didnt take!! I have/had some funky yellow color hair which looked horrible, burns and scabs on my scalp and all my hair broke off toward the crown of my head which caused me to now have bangs. I have pictures to back it up. Needless to say, all they could offer me is a conditioning treatment. Seriously I spend $130 and all you can provide me with is that?! I had to go to another salon and shell out more money to fix what you did!! I will be reporting the Plainfield location to the BBB.

I was in the Salon yesterday, didnt make an appointment but 10 minutes before I got there. My stylists husband was home from being based in Texas in the military and she decided to stay so she could take care of me. I do have very thick hair so an all over highlight was a process. She was so welcoming, we talked the entire time and I am so in love with my hair. I have never been so satisfied with a highlight and its exactly what I wanted. Her name is Jana McKinney and I would highly recommend getting service done by her! I will definitely be back to see her.

I love the diversity in products Ulta offers. I was a shopper at the Plainfield, IN location for many years before deciding to join the team myself. The atmosphere, culture, and overall experience of Ulta is unmatched and makes me excited to go there each day :)

The product selection is great as are the prices, but the customer service is terrible everytime I go in there. The ladies working the check outs seem like they are miserable and dont want to be there which reflects on the way they talk to their customers.

Love Ulta! Have never had a bad experience here. Occasionally there will be a few very young cashiers whom are friendly enough, but could use a bit more training on their customer service skills.
