I just have to balance out some of the negativity here. Ive never had a bad experience at this establishment. Not a single time. Not with any stylist. Ive also never known anyone here to be lazy. On the contrary, Ive watched a lot of workers here go well past their planned breaks and work past the end of their shifts to accommodate crowds. Maybe the reason the previous reviewer saw four people come out of the back room at once is because it was the first time it had slowed down enough for those stylists to take a break and they were cutting their breaks short to help the crowd? Ive certainly seen that happen here a few times. These folks are pretty awesome, and the price is fantastic. As a result, its always very busy, which should tell you that its a better place than the naysayers here are giving it credit for. Dont overlook this store because of some petty vengeance posts on google.

I live in Florida and needed to desperately come in for a quick haircut because I missed my appointment at home and my hair was out of control. I had to start work at 10 and came in at 9:30. Erin (I think was her name) took me right away and did an amazing, quick efficient job (and was so sweet!). I usually spend a LOT of money on my hair appointments and the quality at this Hair Cuttery was as good if not better than what Ive gotten at home. I am going to look for a Hair Cuttery here and hope I can find someone like Erin!

Although I ended up with my hair cut in the end, the road there wasnt exactly the easiest traveled. It wasnt the wait, or the location... it was the stylists. They had no room for suggestions and no room for improvisation. Not everyone has a picture-perfect idea of what they want, yet they expected you to. I usually expect an opinion of what they think would look good, but not once was their opinion offered even when asked. Ive honestly had better service at lesser quality places...

eh, its a decent place if you need a quick cut, but its not all that great. first time i went it was a little disapointing, but acceptable, so for 15 bucks i figured it wasnt too bad of a deal. next time i went however, was a totally different story. the stylist cut it totally different than what was asked, and left LOTS of uneven spots, and then covered my hair in goop to cover up her mistakes. so it all depends on which stylist you get, they are all across the board.

One star is even too much for this place. Turned all my hair orange and I only went in for highlights. Stylist did a poor job on haircut. When manager came in and tried to fix it the situation only got worse. My hair looked the color of straw and felt like it too! All this for $145.00 ! Ive since had to have my long hair all cut off because it was so damaged. Still have orange hair because its too damaged to color at this time. Terrible place! Terrible stylists!

By FAR the worst! One person in front of me, two others were already in chairs w/stylists (joke) waited 35 minutes, 4 more people showed up and WHAM a bunch of stylists all come out of the back room to take everyone. Come to think of it, this also happened when I took my son in for his school haircut. Not sure what is going on in the back but if they expect a tip just because they wanted to get a smoke, it aint happenin!

I went in for a haircut a few days before I was I had to leave for vacation. All I asked for was a trim and a line by my side burns so I could shave. The young lady cut ALL of my side burns off and my hair looked like something out of a army movie but way less quality. My hair looked so bad I just paid and left. I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed. This was twice that my hair was messed up and I wont be back.

I will ev give this Company my money again. I asked and even had a picture as a guideline. The girl totally messed my hair up. I left Hair Cuttery in tears and the still had the gull to ring me up. My hair a so short and uneven. i found a Profession Salon to help me through this. I was told it was one of the worst hair cuts they have seen......

This was my first visit to Hair Cuttery. I chose them based on their reviews. Rebecca did an awesome job fixing a poor haircut that was 2 days old from a competitor. Their friendly staff made me feel so comfortable the entire time I was there. By time I left I was feeling amazing because my hair looked amazing. I will be a repeat customer.

I came in tonight for a big change in hairstyle: from long hair to short, from nasty boxed hair died hair to beautifully ombréd hair. Alex was extremely sweet and was a huge help the full 3 1/2 hours I was there. I want to thank her for all she did for me and I had a great experience. I cant thank her enough for making me feel beautiful.

Hair Cuttery has been my only salon for over 4 years now. I wont let anyone else touch my hair. My stylist Emily F. is fantastic! She does a fabulous job cutting, coloring, and styling my hair. She has always been able to squeeze me in and "saved" me many times. I always feel great when I walk out of the salon and I just love her!

When they are busy, they have no concept of time. Add 45mins to the excepted wait time they give you on the weekend. We stayed because they said it would only be 15mins, it was over an hour before we were called back. Avoid the place on weekends or if you are in a rush.

36 dollars for my friend and i to get out haircut plus tip they lady didnt even bother to shampoo our hair and we both are pissed how our hair turned out how hard is it to fade correctly now looking for someone to fix this

Always a kind staff and good service. Fyi, The wait at this location can get lengthy at times, due to its location being a common shopping area in Valpo. Try to go m-f earlier in the day for short wait.

Arrived at 7:10 on Saturday 1/14/17. Business is dark and employee told me they close at 7 on Saturdays. Online and hours on the store clearly say 8pm. Another one Sar review.
