I came to the location to have my front tires changed on Thursday and advised Keegan I have two brand new tires in my trunk for replacement, because I was travelling with the car to DC Sunday morning. Keegan told me to come and drop off my car Saturday morning by 7.30am. I left back for work and called on Friday to confirm the appointment for Saturday, This man told me, I didnt make any appointment that I was suppose to fill some form apparently, mind you, he didnt tell me all this on Thursday when I came in. I stress to this gentlemen that I was travelling on Sunday very early in the morning. After much argument, he told me to come on and drop of my car Saturday morning, which I did. 2.54pm Saturday, Keegan called me, saying he didnt know my tires had a key lock, and didnt know I wasnt buying tires from them so because of that he is not working on my car. But he is telling me to bring my car back Monday, Im still trying to comprehend this. They are very unprofessional. I will never take my car to this location anymore in my life. If you knew you were not going to work on my car, why let me bring it in, then tell me almost 3pm Saturday that your not working on my car any longer. This mans excuse was that I didnt buy tires from them and he didnt know where the tire keys locks were, which he would have called me, I even called by 12noon, just to follow up with them. This is just not an excuse, There were people at this location when I came in Saturday morning to drop of my car, and I came before all of them. When I came to pick up my car after he had told me that, I didnt see any of those cars in their shop. Meaning they had worked on those cars. As far as Im concerned this is racial driving, you should have just told me right from the beginning your not going to work on my car. I found myself right now stranded and looking for other options 4pm Saturday. I just needed to post this for all to know.

DO NOT take you vehicle here! I took my suburban there two weeks ago due to the fact that it would turn over but not start. They told me it would cost $75 to diagnose the problem and they would let know. I took it to them on Tuesday and they never let me know anything. I called them every day and they just blew me off. Finally on saturday they called and said it was done. They said it was the crank sensor and the battery. When I got the bill they charged me double for the diagnosis and they said the battery was toast and had to be replaced. They charged me $120 for the battery and another $30 to install it. They r right up the road from Walmart and I could have got the right battery there for $69.99 and they would install it for free! Beside from that I had the battery professionally tested a day before taking it to them and it was good. I never had a problem with it. All of this was done and they never called me once until AFTER it was all done! The final bill...$666 and some change. I have since checked with a couple other places and they all have said they would NEVER do any work without first informing the customer. When I objected to the charges they more or less said that if I wanted my truck I had to pay. I am getting ready to take this to news channel 18 so that others wont make the mistake I did as well as suing them for what they did to me. I am a local pastor and small business owner and I know this is no way to run a business. I have both phone records to prove that I had to call every day and they only called the day I picked it up as well as the receipt to show how much they charged me. If anyone would like to see it I would be more than have to email it to u.

As a business owner myself (a small computer store), I want to defend my favorite auto repair shop from some unreasonable reviews I cant believe. Seems like the 1% of customers who are unhappy are more inclined to write a review than the 99% satisfied. I know, cause 99% of my computer store customers are very happy. The 1% unhappy are sometimes our mistake (which we try to fairly correct) and sometimes it is an unreasonable jerk who tries to ruin your business when he doesnt understand what you are trying to tell him or you cant do his repair for what he wants to pay. That said I want to say I have taken my cars to CarX more than 10 times and have never had bad service. Ok, sometimes they predict it will be done same day and it takes a day longer. As a business owner I am probably more understanding on this than people who have no clue what it is like to run a business. The CarX price seems to always be about the same as other quotes I get from other repair places. (Although you can usually find a better tire deal at Tire Barn or Discount tire.) The staff at CarX is always courteous. The one time they made a small mistake they cheefully corrected it at no extra charge. No business can be expected to be perfect--just honest and fair. My wife and I recommend CarX to our friends. We usually check prices with several places before major repairs--but more often than not we choose CarX.

I took my car in because the breaks were grinding. Every time the mechanic spoke to me, I felt as if I was being disrespected. They seemed to be telling me things that would purposefully make me upset and render me unable to make a clear headed decision. I got my car there an hour before close and was told "It needs a lot of work. I need to take some things apart to see how much work, but there is a chance it wont go back together again." I got a call the following Monday and was given an estimate of $1400 because basically everything that had to do with my brakes needed replaced, and was told my car was not safe to drive. I couldnt afford it, and also combined with the sense of disrepect, I told the mechanic I would be taking my car elsewhere for a second opinion and he said very smugly "Im sure anywhere else you take it will tell you it needs everything I said done." I did take it elsewhere. The second place, without knowing what I was told at Car-X, said my brakes did need work, but the price range was much more reasonable, and they also did not think an entire overhaul of my braking system was necessary. I will not be returning to Car-X for any reason.

I originally found this place while price-shopping for cheap tires. Later on, I paid $700 to buy new brakes- pads, rotors, shoes, cylinders... the works. Less than a week later I heard a squeaking noise when pulling to a stop. The work was under warranty, so I brought the car back. They had the mechanic take apart his work and put it back together again. He didnt find anything. The car still squeaked. Over the next 3 months I returned the car 2 more times, and every time the same mechanic repeated the same troubleshooting procedure to no avail. He told me not to worry about the sound and that it wouldnt cause a problem. Six months later all of the newly installed brake hardware in the rear had deteriorated and broken apart. I took it to a real mechanic where it cost $800 to fix the problem- this time there was no squeaking. Dont expect good service or a thorough explanation of the problem. In fact, dont trust them to properly understand the problem! It is better to pay more for a good mechanic to identify and fix the problem than to waste your time and money on their poor workmanship.
