Most of the equipment works, sometimes: The pool is a danger area for bacteria, dumbbells come apart sometimes, you learn which machines are broken and never to be repaired. On the other hand if a huge guy with a bag walking around selling steroids in the club is a turn off then dont bother to tell the general manager because, "Stuff like that happens." Ive worked out for over 30 years at over 20 different gyms around the country. Stuff like that happens with lazy materialistic management with no integrity. The dealer doesnt even workout, he walks around and talks and sells stuff out of his duffle bag... Oh and telling the general manager about broking equipment is about as useful. The trainers are dying for money and clients. Telling them about broken stuff gets you sales pitches for training on other equipment. This place is like the Wells Fargo of gyms.

They are under new management, and since then the place has really gone down hill. Started finding surprise charges on my bill, and the 1 person who can fix it is never in to talk to and take it off. Ended up reporting them to the better business bureau after 8 call attempts over 2-3 months. Resulted in an inappropriate voicemail from the manager "...I have never been reported to the better business bureau!" They have a big cardio room, but there are usually 3-7 broken machines. Took them about 6 months to replace the TVs as half of them were broken.

I am a member of Active Edge. They have great group classes even though they could schedule them a bit better. If you want to join for machines only, I would pick another gym. Their cardio equipment is old, noisy and broken. You have to tune your radio tuner to hear the TV...who has a Walkman anymore? Plus the area where the equipment is located is so hot and stuffy...before you even start your workout. It is inexpensive and a lot nicer than Northland.

They have nothing special there to be charging what they charge. When you go to cancel your membership. They like to charge you for 2 months after the fact. EVEN IF YOU COMPLETE YOUR CONTRACT. Then they have the most horrible customer service I have ever witnessed. I will never refer this place to anyone I know. What a waste of money for a year!!!

The staff is very rude, they seem to be bothered by you most of the time. I was also lied to about the cost of my membership, and once I found out how much it really was I was informed I could not get a refund of over $400 i had already paid

Ive been at this gym for 4 years and I love it! Staff are friendly, classes are great, lots of great equipment. The only thing I dont like is Fox News on all day. It stress me out...but I try to ignore it.

Really nice size gym, staff are friendly, never had to wait for a cardio machine, and things are always clean. My only issue is that its not 24hours and the price compared to other local gyms.

Been here 8 years. Good gym, good rates, Ive tried many other gyms in town but never left this gym its still the best and wow if your considering the MAC god help you and your wallet :)
