My husband and I have been members of Anytime Fitness for over 4 years, starting at the location in Adel, Iowa before we moved to North Liberty. When we moved, I understood that our membership agreement would transfer, but instead, we were started on a new three-year agreement. Then, when we moved again to an apartment that had a gym, we were told it would be half of our membership to cancel, which was barely over the 1-year mark, to our surprise. Before you sign up with this location, be wary of the terms they are having you sign and that they may conflict with what the gym is telling you. Ive had great experiences with other locations, but have found this one to be sub-par. In terms of quality, it had more than enough equipment for my needs. But the gym was inferior in overall cleanliness compared to Coralville and Adel. The small space and large amount of equipment did make it a little more crowded during the after-work hours. Ive heard great things about Core Fitness in North Liberty if youre looking for an alternative.

Ive never had a problem with the Anytime Fitness chain and have enjoyed every location that Ive been to over the last several years....except this one. Management is incredibly rude and is only concerned about new members as its more $$$ for them to cash in their pocket and its clear from the other reviews that they do not care about their members. Most Anytime chains allow carryover membership if you are moving locations and are very flexible in this manner...except this one. Management only cares about money and are not accommodating to requests to improve the establishment or the customers in any way shape or form. Overall, the Anytime Fitness chain is a great one, just stay away from this location. There are much better options nearby.

Unfortunate that I was told one thing on the phone about cancelling my membership , fulfilling all the requirements they stated and then told I needed to pay for an additional month because it states that way on the paperwork. Was charged a $10 enhancement fee for club upkeep for the month of February even though my membership expired 2-6. NOT A SATISFIED CUSTOMER..... Used the facility very little but when I did it was clean and machinery was in operating condition. After looking at alternatives I have found a facility that was less than half the cost Anytime Fitness charged..Anytime Fitness charges you EVERY last penney they can get out of you.

Anytime fitness is a rip off they dont know the meaning of customer service .I have been trying to end my services with them for over two months now I have ask to speak with the Manager and all I have got is the run around ,they told me I needed a Drs note or I had to move 15 miles from the gym to end the contract so I even got a Drs note and still nothing please dont waste your money. Because for the past four months thats all I have done.

Completely disappointed with my membership. No one was ever around to talk to, even during "office hours." Changing jobs and starting school again I have absolutely zero time to do anything else but it is literally impossible to get out of your agreement unless you become disabled. I find that absolutely ridiculous. They make sure to get every last penny they can with hidden costs and fees. Definitely would not recommend anyone.

This club gets you with hidden costs. Read between the lines- every line- very carefully, because they charge you for club enhancements that were never explained during the sign-up process as well as continuing your membership after your contract has expired due to the very fine print. Pretty sad that thats how they get their customers to stay members. Management does not know customer service. Go somewhere else.

Utter disappointment with the bad attitude and entire lack of interest or follow up with any staff after you join. Managements interest appears only until you sign the contract, then they are done. Buyer beware. The management, both local and regional, take absolutely no responsibility and cannot be reached in person at the posted staff hours or by phone even when they say they will call you back. Huge red flags.

sad, very sad. the place has much potential, but management is remarkably rude especially if you ask them for something. I also found much of the equipment to be run down or not working. expensive for what you get. the other anytime fitness locations Ive frequented seem to be a much better value. employees appear all about the $, not about service.

My wife and I were not treated as people at all at this location. I would recommend anytime fitness as a place to do business with but I would not recommend this location at all. The Marion location took me in and really heard my concerns and dealt with my wife and I very fairly. Honestly I wonder how this location has not been shut down yet.

Worst management ..took 2months to transfer my files to another anytime. Then they dont tell u about hidden fees for equipment maintenance thats y i paid for the membership my bill never came out the same it always change i been to other ones and i never had so much trouble with a darn membership.. Worst management i ever delt with...

Condescending management that is terrible about returning voice messages or emails, unless you are a potential new member. Management/employes are consistently not on site during advertised staffed hours. Apparently its okay for them to break their part of the contract. Youre better off saving the money and doing pushups at home.

I would NEVER sign a contract with ANY Anytime Fitness Location.. theyre super deceitful as far as the terms of cancellation and renewal. Theyve overcharged me $250 and refuse to give me a refund. Never, ever again will I step foot in one of these HORRIBLE gyms.

Terrible experience at North liberty location. This is the second time my key has not worked. They got their money but I dont have access to ANYTIME FITNESS, Im sure Ill hear back from someone in a week or so.
