Perhaps they can learn from this review and improve. I was treated rudely and LIED to. Today I stopped by Total Choice to ship back a small electronic item left behind by a vendor. The vendor sent me their FedEx account # to pay for the shipping. TC advertises right on their windows that they are a FedEx shipping center. I walked in the door, and asked if they had a free FedEx box, and a waybill to fill out to ship something. The lady behind the counter told me that they didnt have any free boxes, but I could buy a box. Being that is was an hour before cut off, and wanting the item to go out today, I agreed to buy a box. When I asked for a FedEx waybill to fill out, I was told that TC didnt have any FedEx waybills. When I told them that I was using the reciepients FedEx account number to pay for shipping, I was told that I couldnt. I responded that Ive shipled this way plenty of times before, I and asked why couldnt I do this with them? Thats when it started to get rude. Another lady behind the counter interjected and told me that I would have to purchase the shipping through them (at full retail), and couldnt use a "third party" account number. I responded that didnt make any sense at all, the recipient gets a substantial discount from FedEx, and why should I, and they, have to pay full price? She then said: how do we know that you are athorized to use that account number, or that it isnt a fake or made up account number? I offered to show her the emailed instructions on my phone, but before I could, she then interjected: that I needed to contact the recipient, have them email a shipping label, then i would have go home and print a shipping label if I wanted to bill a third party! (This isnt true BTW with FedEx, and it never has been). I told her that Ive used FedEx for a long time, and none of what she said was right. I asked if there was a FedEx drop box or another shipping location in town, so I could just get the waybill on my own. She told me that TC was the ONLY FedEx drop off location in Grinnell. She then looked at the item that I was shipping, laying on the counter, (little bigger than a Zippo lighter) and then said: we have to ship it through us this way anyway, otherwise how do we know this isnt a bomb or something! Offended by this outlandish statement, and illlconceved rational, I walked out of the store with the digital video to fiber-optic converter in hand. (definitely not a bomb!) A quick Google search found a FedEx drop box 4 blocks away at the Grinnell College. The FedEx box only had the cardboard envelopes in it, but the nice people at the college shipping office sold me a small box for a quarter (yes $.25). I filled out the label like Ive done many times before, and received better service from a metal box than I did at Total Choice that day. Ive run a business for over 30 years. Ive shipped things all around the world through various modes and services. I can only assume that their approach works on less savvy people. Ive done business with TC before, mostly dropping off packages with lables purchased on-line, and buying things like bubble wrap. The previous interactions were OK, but this was just bad.

I worked with Nate to design wedding invitations. I live out of state, so all our interactions were via email. Nate was professional, polite, and punctual. He sent me proofs of everything, listened to my feedback, and made corrections without any hesitation. The invitations turned out beautifully! I wasnt quite sure what I wanted, so I sent him our wedding colors and pictures of some floral bouquets that I liked and he came up with a gorgeous watercolor design. I received so many compliments on the invitations. About 2 weeks before the wedding, I panicked when I realized I hadnt made programs yet. I contacted Nate and he designed, printed, and shipped the programs to me in just a few days. Pricing was very reasonable. I know someone who designed her own invitations and spent more on printing alone than I did to have Total Choice design, print, and ship them to me. Thank you, Total Choice and thank you, Nate! I highly recommend this place to anyone, especially brides!

From Bride & Groom Amy & Alex: Total Choice Weddings was definitely the way to go when it came to my wedding stationery! Nate was so helpful and was always there to help me with anything I needed. I knew he would design a great product, but I was blown away by his creativeness and willingness to make my stationery unique. I received so many compliments on my save the date’s, invitations, thank you’s, wedding signs, etc. I couldn’t have asked for anything better! It was truly a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend Nate to anyone.

Add a set of blueprints printed for a house the first ones look good so I had them print a second set all the numbers for the dimensions were blurry lines were blurry the blueprints were no good show them the problem with the blurriness and they said sorry but would not refund my money even though I could not use them they shouldve called me first to say that they would be blurry instead of printing them and wasting my money I would not recommend them to anyone if they will not stand behind their product

Total Choice Shipping and Printing has been a great resource for all of the printing needs of the Grinnell Big Brothers Big Sisters Program. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. Orders are always done well and on time (if not before!) On a personal note, I use Total Choice for many of my printing, copying and shipping needs. I love having them local!
