I brought my wifes car into their shop right before Christmas 2015 to diagnose an issue with the car missing badly at idle and rough acceleration. They suggested multiple fixes which included replacing two cat converters that totaled just north of $1800! Terrible time to be spending this much money. This amount did include an extra service of replacing the timing belt that I asked to have done since they were going to be right there close by anyway. The car ran fine for about 6-8 weeks before the problem manifested itself again. Same issue. Same symptoms. Same problem. I brought the car back fully expecting them to make it right due to the large amount of money I paid just a couple of months before. They now want to charge me more money and said the car now needs plugs and plug wires. A couple issues with this. #1 how come this was never checked out the first time? If plugs and plug wires were potentially causing my problems it seems only logical that this would have been on a checklist of items to look into the first time around. They admitted on the phone that they never even looked at them before. #2 how do I know that this wouldnt have fixed the problem the first time around saving $1800 and the rest of the repairs around Christmas time? Im not saying that all of the repairs were not warranted. Im just saying I will never know. It seems like maybe they should have started with plugs and plug wires first ($150-200 repair) versus starting with an $1800 repair that ultimately did not solve the problem. My father has had them do repairs on his cars before with no issues so not sure what to think. Not sure if I will come back. Had they accepted responsibility, admitting they didnt check the plugs and plug wires the first time around, then made the repairs and not charged me as a sign of good faith, they probably would have had a customer for life. We all make mistakes. No one is perfect... but they had the opportunity to make it right and move on but unfortunately they chose not to.

We took our Volkswagen Beetle in to check out the starter, AC, etc. before a road trip. They kept our car for four days without looking at it, and only after that wait did they tell us that it was probably the air pump, but they didnt feel comfortable working on it since it was a Volkswagen. I appreciated the honesty in that respect, but if they felt THAT uncomfortable, they should have been honest from the get go. We contacted them twice a day to get updates, and we were always "next in line." Needless to say, we had an awful experience and would never under any circumstances return with our business.

The quote I was given for a 4-wheel brake job and spark plug replacement sounded very reasonable at just south of $500. When I was called to say my 2010 Dakota was ready I was surprised that the bill over over $100 less than quoted. They explained that my rear brakes didnt need replacement so they were just cleaned, adjusted, and turned the drums. That type of honesty is sometimes too rare today. They could have replaced the rear brakes and Id have never known the difference. Quality work at a fair price and honest people to boot. Ill going to Brady Automotive again!

Their price was very competitive and my Hondas still going strong after several trips to North Carolina, BatonRouge and Texas.Taking a 1999 Toyota Camry to them this week for a tranny rebuild after receiving lowest quote of any competitor Ive contacted. .
