I dont ordinarily write reviews but I just have to let everyone know what an amazing hairdresser I have!! Wes Heston has been cutting and coloring my hair for 10 years. Weve been through many different styles and colors together. He has always given me the latest cutting edge haircut and used the latest coloring techniques on me. The cut is ALWAYS perfect and the color is ALWAYS fabulous. I really appreciate this, especially after experiencing a horrible orange color when I was out of town for an extended period of time and forced to go to another hairdresser. Wes is constantly going to classes to learn the latest color or haircutting techniques. In fact, he even teaches classes to other hairdressers! The thing I like best is, Wes listens to what I want and comes up with great ideas when I give him the I dont know what I want... I just want something different routine. And theres nothing better than the compliments on the cut I receive even weeks after my hair was done. The salon is very pretty and the rest of the team at the salon are always very friendly and thoughtful and make everyone feel at home. They jump in and help each other out, which is great when you are pressed for time. I highly recommend Wes Heston and the team at Salon Delonjay!

This pampering must be what Oprah feels like every day! Maybe because they were trying to make a good first impression? But whatever it was they hit a bullseye with a flawless performance! And Im a critic! First thing they did right was to listen and look at the photos of hairstyles I liked. They listened intently to what I wanted and expected. I appreciated them opening the front and back doors for ventilation at intervals especially since I have asthma. The music was supportive to a peaceful and calm ambience. And the lighting was perfect--not too bright and not too dark. The store design was classic...very pleasant. I could tell there was a scheduling conflict because it needed to be discussed. But it was done in such a way that didnt disrupt progress. And the team effort was superb! Wes gave amazing service and was an excellent host. He worked in collaboration with his coworkers when he was expected to service another client simultaneously. After ordering a product from the salon that they distribute and being promised that it would arrive a week later, I finally was told it came in 2 1/2 weeks later. This is after I first called the salon to see when I could come in to pick it up and was then told it did not arrive -- no phone call from them. Then, after several phone calls and angry words by me, which I did not handle diplomatically Ill admit -- I was called by the owner and cussed out and yelled at for several minutes, He then told me to "never step into their f@#&ing salon" again. I have NEVER been talked to like that in my life -- not by anyone. I was shocked. Therefore, please think twice before going to this salon for anything because the customer service is something to be improved upon. This is from someone who was a client for several years and spent thousands of dollars.

I went for a consultation for a keratin treatment and blowout. I have naturally curly hair and I ALWAYS go for a consult so the hair stylist can schedule the appropriate time for my hair. Jamie acted like she knew what she was doing. I went in three days later for the treatment and as soon as the blowout started I knew she has no clue how to deal with curly hair. I stopped her and told her how to blow my hair out and she acted offended. My hair was SUPPOSED to be bone straight after this treatment to close the cuticle, but she was blowdrying AGAINST the cuticle. I cant wash my hair for 24 hours and it looks absolutely horrible. I paid the over 300 for the treatment, but i will NEVER go back nor recommend this salon to anyone EVER!

The salon was nice but the girl who did my hair was unsociable, quoted me for $32 more than what I was originally told, and left dye all over my face ESPECIALLY on the sides. Luckily I didnt have anywhere to be otherwise I look like a stained train wreck. Color was way off, I asked for sandy brown and was given a very very dark brown, but was told "itll go to that color after a few washes." I shouldnt have to wash my hair a few times to get the color I wanted. I was looking forward to coming here because I had read such good reviews, but very much disappointed considering the price.

I have been getting my haircut at Salon Delonjay for about a year now. I dont think Ill ever want to get it cut somewhere else again. Between the people that work there and the relaxing environment itself, its all you need out of a salon! I personally get my haircut but Sam, and I have never had someone that can work you into his schedule as easy and as fast as Sam! If youve never seen it before it is in between the Sonic and Sherwin-Williams in Middletown, its a hidden gem and I would recommend anyone I know to go there and get their haircut atleast once!!

I have been coming to Salon Delonjay for a few years now and I always have a great experience! When the Salon moved to their new location, Shelbyville Road in Middletown, I have had the pleasure to have Courtney Thompson as my Stylist. She is extremely friendly and she does an amazing job! I have to say that this is by far the friendliest salon I have ever been to!! Everyone makes you feel special and at home the second you walk in the door! Ive very happy to call Salon Delonjay my salon!!!! I highly recommend this Salon! :)

I have been going to Bevky for 18 years! She and her staff are Amazing! I am not a very patient person and getting my hair done is not actually my "cup of tea"; however, Becky makes it very relaxing and gets me in and out in an hour and forty-five minutes! Most salons take at least 2 1/2-3 for cut, color and highlight. I would have to say, I have tried a few other salons over the years due to convienence but I have learned that I would drive an hour to have Becky do my hair! Love her!!

I asked a woman in line at Target, "Who does your hair?" It was similar in texture to my fine hair. She told me, Becky at Salon DeLonjay!" She pulled out her phone and gave me number. That was seven years ago. The salon is professional yet warm and friendly. I receive compliments on my hair and it is easy to style. Becky is attentive at each visit and I can count on good work every time. They carry quality products. Try Salon DeLonjay and expect the question, "Who does your hair?"

Salon Delonjay is truly one of the best hair places I have been to. The stylists do top quality work at great prices. Everyone working at Salon Delonjay comes across as friendly, but in a genuine way. The salon does an excellent job of working around my tight schedule as well. Also if you live in the east end of Louisville and just need to pick up some Aveda supplies, they are super convenient. I would definitely reccomend them to anyone!
