****BEWARE**** Service is horrible and they can and will lose your shipment and not care. I dropped off two textbooks for shipping both pre-labeled by Amazon. I purchased two boxes and asked that they bubble-wrap them the representative said he was too busy. He said he would take care of it and that I could leave. One book worth $12 arrived just fine however the other, a Textbook worth $95.00 mysteriously disappeared between me dropping it off at the store and UPS drop off/pick up. I called UPS and they stated they had no record of it ever being dropped off/picked up. I went to the Packaging and Shipping store just to check if they had misplaced it or maybe lost the label. Without skipping a beat or even letting me finish my question a tall “gentleman” blurted out “WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE”, “we are just a dropbox”, it seemed as if this was a canned response and not the first time something like this had happened. I asked surely you keep track of what leaves your store, he plain and apathetically said “NO”. I asked for a specific size box to send a Textbook (from another location, mind you) and the guy just pointed to a corner of the store and told me to look through a whole mess of disorganized boxes of different sizes none of which was the size for the textbook. The first time the guy had them behind the counter, now this guy wanted me to wander the store on a scavenger hunt and pay him when done. So if you don’t package because you are busy, you don’t help customers find what they are looking for in your store and you dont track what leaves your store what good are you and why do you call yourselves “Packaging and Shipping”. Buyer, take my advice invest the extra 2 minutes and go to a store you can trust and makes you feel like they want to help you vs. they are burdened to help you.

Went to ship two boxes Monday morning. Although the doors were wide open when I got there at 8:07, no-one was around. I called "hello" a couple of times, but no-one came out from the back. So, I left and came back about 1/2 hr later. I was attended by some young guy (cant say I was helped...) who didnt really care what I was trying to do - I showed him an e-mail I had gotten from UPS about an ebay sellers shipping account, and he just shoved two shipping labels across the counter and had me fill them out. Then, 3 days later when I went to ship 2 more boxes and pulled out the e-mail from UPS the older guy said "you cant use that here." Well, both packages have gotten lost in the UPS system, apparently because this first guy didnt know what he was doing, or didnt care to understand what I was doing and how he could help me (or not). UPS suggested I go talk to the shipping place, and I went there again this morning and was told - "its not our problem, once it leaves here its between you and UPS. If they told you to talk to us, theyre crazy." Then when I got back on the phone with UPS, the investigation representative tried to call them and they were rude to her too. Everybody screws up sometimes, but a real professional takes responsibility and takes ownership of the problem - if they have someone like that working there, I have not met them yet.

I started a small business a couple of years ago and I at first started using the post office for my shipping needs but after a few months of dealing with the long lines on a daily basis, damage to my packages, lost packages, customer service that was not very helpful all the time, and not to mention the outrageous prices for shipping larger boxes, I was feeling frustrated and at the same time determined to find a better place. I started using Baton Rouge Packaging and Shipping after my post office experience. I have been shipping there for over a year now and I am there almost everyday shipping and buying supplies. They have made my job SO much easier!! Fast, friendly, reliable service. Prices are great on supplies as well! Once I ship my packages out with them, I never have to worry if they are going to make it to my customers because I know they will. If there is a problem with missing packages (which rarely happens), they help me research to find out what happened. Just an all around 5 star staff and 5 star service!!!

I have been using Baton Rouge Packaging & Shipping for 4 years now, for both business and personal. Both of the owners are always extremely nice, and have gone so far as to remember my account information when I come in. The other staff are also friendly and happy to help out at any time. I would recommend this business, and I do recommend them, to anyone who asked. I have even gone as far as to tell people about them who dont ask! If you want great service, you need to go to them! They are able to price shipping between USPS, UPS, & FedEx and will get you the best rate every time! I have also had to go to them to find an old receipt and they can pull up all my orders through my account. The addresses you ship to are also saved, so if you ship to a client multiple times, you do not need to remember the address every time you go in.

Lighten up Melissa. I havent been at this place for years but Im sure I know youre talking about one of the owners whos just a socially awkward person. Your comments say nothing about the business itself which I recall being professional and fair. Last time I was there I saw a wide array of supplies with better prices on most everything I saw elsewhere. These people run a good business and have been packing and shipping things for a long time, they arent in the business of reading your mind. Speak up if you have a problem otherwise business owners will have no idea how to best serve you.

I have shipped at this place on multiple occasions, and each time I had the same sales clerk. This gentleman is repeatedly unfriendly, appearing almost irritated that I am doing business there. I will NOT be going back to this place, which is very close to my house. Instead, I will drive the extra 15 minutes to go to AIM Mail Center on Perkins Road because the owner is always extremely nice and helpful. I absolutely do not recommend Baton Rouge Packaging and Shipping. As far as customer service goes, its no better than the USPS, and thats saying something.

I use this place just about 4 times a week if not daily for my home business. They are always super helpful and always get everything just right! No matter what size order i bring in if its just one shipment or 15 they are always just as helpful! They also offer so many more services than the other packing places. They weigh it. You pay. Youre done. They do all the packing for you!. I would recommend using them for all your shipping needs!

I am a local abstract artist. I have used Baton Rouge Packaging & Shipping, Inc. several times to ship my paintings. Not only are their prices excellent, but the service that I have received from them cannot be beat! I will continue to use them for all of my shipping needs!!
