I got my makeup done for prom, and I liked parts of my makeup. My eye makeup looked great, but when my stylist was close to finishing, she was told she had another client and needed to hurry up and finish. She knew what she was doing and she was a really friendly girl. The first mistake was that the lighting in the room was terrible, you couldnt see any mess ups in make up until you went outside. Second, my stylist was rushed to finish so she didnt take her time to make sure all the glue wasnt still in my fake eyelashes. As I said, my eye makeup looked great, but my foundation looked pretty bad. I paid extra to get an airbrush on the face to get more coverage, but in the sunlight, there looks like there is no coverage and there are big spots. I went back in to get it fixed, but it still doesnt look right. This is not the stylists fault, the lighting was horrible, and the salon had most of the products packed up so she couldnt find thing. Overall, I like my eye makeup, but I am very upset that my makeup does not look great. I paid extra to look better, but it was not worth it.

Being new to town I selected what I thought was one of the better salons. I have to agree with many of the other reviewers and say I felt very rushed. I did not get a consult. My hairdresser wanted to immediately wash my hair, so I had to ask him if he would please look at my hair while it was dry so I could tell him what I wanted. There was no scalp massage during my shampoo, which I have always enjoyed at nicer salons. The we rushed off to cut my hair. I felt like I was in some sort of hair triathlon. My stylist did not talk to me for the first 10 minutes of cutting until I finally broke the silence. It was just very rushed, very awkward and not a pampering experience at all. The cut was ok, but one I could have gotten cheaper somewhere else. Oh, and when I first got there I had to do a salon tour since I was a new client. They really could have spared me the 5 minutes worth of Rigsby, his career and his artwork and put that time into my actual appointment.

Im in school at LSU but I am originally from Houston. I dont usually write reviews, or even think to do it, but I was absolutely clueless in choosing a salon here in Baton Rouge. I simply googled best salon in BR and Rigsby Fredericks came up. I highly recommend choosing this salon because I felt so at ease walking in and meeting my hair stylist. I brought her a picture, and she did some high lights and cut my hair. She even curled my hair like Katherine Heigels! (like in the picture) She was so sweet and I just felt so beautiful! OUT OF TOWN GIRLS....no worries, CHOOSE RIGSBY FREDERICK SALON!

Ive recently learned of some behavior by Rigsby & his employees and I have to say I have lost ALL respect for him and his salon. I was a long time faithful client of Rigsbys and I am appalled at the way he allows his employees to conduct business now. I know I speak on behalf of a lot of former clients when I say we will never step foot back in that salon ever again. It is not the place I originally started going to and loving 5 years ago. I dont know what is going on but its really sad to see such a successful establishment lose the credibility that it has.

I got the "master level" ($35) female cut. Emily C worked quickly and efficiently to give me a cut that I actually love. I havent had a haircut I actually like since....I cant remember. Im not crazy about the actual salon. Its very busy and they definitely want to get you in and out as fast as possible (and the floor is ridiculously slippery). You dont get a lot of personal attention, but you do get a nice hair cut!

Well I didnt want to even give this place a star but it was the only way to post something, I took my wife to have her roots done twice in one day because they couldnt get it done right and still isnt done. It took for ever I dont know why you make a appointment here we was there 15 min. early and still had to wait 30 min. after the the appointment. She wont go back.

Amazing salon. Im a hairstylist myself so im very particular about who touches my hair. I just moved to BR and had no idea where to go. So based on the good reviews I took a chance on this place. Jessica gave an amazing haircut!! Price was great , only $40! Customer service was awesome and the owner was walking around greeting people!

I always go, and Kirby cuts my hair. Shes always on time (I usually try to get an early appointment), and the whole process usually takes no longer than about 30 minutes. This includes a wash and cut. Im always happy with the outcome, so I totally recommend both the salon and Kirby.

I have never been treated with such great service at any salon until I found Rigsby Frederick. Not only is the staff attentive and friendly, they really know their hair! The atmosphere is great and there is a tranquility rare among Salons...

Rigsbys hair dressers do make you feel rushed and not all of their hair dressers went to school to cut hair. That HORRIFIED me and I havent been there since. For that much money I expect a graduate with experience
