This is the worst post office and workers I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. I am handicapped and do a lot of mail order and the carrier will put it in the system that a delivery attempt was made and notice was left. Well number 1 I keep my front door standing wide open watching for them and no one has come by when I get these texts. 2 They say a notice was left but there is never one here. 3 Then they say one was left in my box saying it was to big to deliver and I have to come pick it up but there is never a notice. Then when I contact the post office they say the carrier has it. (Boy do they stick together) The next day it shows up with the mail carrier and she has no clue of what I am telling her. Reporting it to the postmaster general does no good at all. I really wish everyone would just use UPS and Fedex to send packages. In my opinion the government should just do away with the post office and let it be franchised out to more respectable people who will stand accountable when they screw up and run it like a business and not a service to the community.

For some reason beyond my knowledge and the knowledge of the cranky lady behind the counter, every time they get a package and your tracking says that your parcel has been delivered, the have to hold it for another day. Everything I order from amazon will say its been delivered, but I will not receive it until the next day. I went there to discuss this with the staff only to be met with attitude. They did say "Its back here but you aint getting it." So at least I knew it was in the right place. But they wont let you pick it up, nor will they deliver it when they get it. The other post offices in cities around that area never have this problem. Its unique to the wonderful city of port allen.
