My exsperience: Dont rely on USPS for shipping a package unless you dont mind a snails pace! Pay the extra $ 2 or $ 3 for UPS or FedEx and avoid the hassle. Very disappointed with the USPS. I was supposed to get a package delivered and i authorized a release for my package three days in advance but somehow it didnt get to my carrier in time because I was left a re-delivery slip instead. Why have the option of package release if it isnt going to be followed? I then called the 1-800 number only to sit on the line for 30 minutes so just they could tell me that they were not sure what happened. I would have preferred to speak to someone at the location that my package was taken to so I could find out if the carrier would return before close but alas they do not have that option, the only human I can talk to is miles away sitting at some computer when calling the 800 number. PLEASE pay a little extra for shipping and do not use them if you can help it!! You will not get your package on time.

We have been getting mail, at our home address, for our County Court House for months now. We dont even live on the same road as the Court House. We have had child support checks, mail for the Clerk of Courts, the County Health Department and so much more. When we went into the post office to address it, the gist of what they said is they cant/wont do anything about it and we have to keep bringing the mail back to them. So we are making trips to the post office basically every other day to return very important mail back to the post office.....

Never had problems sending stuff until we tried to send Christmas goodies to my in-laws in Japan. For whatever reason it ended up in communist China despite being clearly marked and labeled for Japan. Im assuming your average American living in Podunkville USA doesnt know the difference between China and Japan and think Asia is Asia. Sure, why not. It came back to us a month later torn and completely beat up, then we went for a round 2. No apology or anything. Yeah, definitely not cool.

Im updating my review here. The employees are more friendly and helpful, but the hours still stink. Where I used to live (in a city of 20,000), the lobby was open 24/7 and the PO Boxes and automated services were available around the clock. I just dont like that they close that all off after a certain time. I dont understand why theyd do that. Maybe to keep the homeless out?

I ship with the Winona usps 3-5 times a week. Best workers I could ask for. Very knowledgable, friendly, and just all around awesome! I have been in line and witness some of the rudest customers. They still offer their help with a smile. Keep up the great work Winona usps workers!

I had to change my address and it was delivering for 2 days then stopped i put in 3 extra ones still nothing has happened and several endless calls i want my mail and packages over 500 dollars worth of items not in my possesion

Your average U.S. Post Office with higher wait times outside of working hours. Staff was generally friendly and I received the best service going in on weekdays in the late morning.
