Let me say right off that we have not had a roof done by Maryland Shingle Roofing, but they will definetely be the first company that I call when I do need a new roof. After a terrible winter, we ended up having a single shingle on our roof standing up. It was down by the gutter, and we feared that an ice dam may have forced the shingle up and possibly damaged the wood roof decking. Called three roof companies on a sunday. One company told me that they wouldnt be able to get anyone out to me for 3-4 weeks. Mike from Maryland Shingle (being local to my home) stopped by the house and went up the 2 stories to investigate. He found the problem and determined that it was a very minor issue and fixed it with no charge. He even took the time to explain the situation to my step daughter and then called my cell and left me a message with all the details. Seems the gutter guards on the gutters got some debris stuck in it, weighted down the front edge, which pushed the first shingle upwards, and it just didnt come back down properly. I think that good business practices such as Mike displayed should be noted and rewarded. I dont need a new roof YET, so a positive review is the the best I can do and offer up a hearty THANK YOU. When I do need to get a new roof, Maryland Shingle Roofing & Siding Contractors will be getting the call from me.

Maryland Shingle provides highly professional service, solid expertise, and an outstanding crew and workmanship. I have had work performed by them at my former and current homes and Mike VanAllen is a pleasure to work with. He is patient, knowledgeable and considers every detail before making recommendations. He provided an extensive list of customers who had similar work performed and it was helpful to talk to them about their experience with the company and the product choices. He was exceptionally patient as we considered multiple window and siding options before eventually converging on final choices and a design. We couldnt be happier with the outcome. If the rating scale was higher than 5, wed give Mike and Maryland Shingle the highest possible rating.

In 2011 I had my roof replaced by Maryland Single, the service was very professional and the work was done in a quick and efficient manner. In 2014 after a wind storm I called Michael Van Allen (owner) concerned about a loud banging noise which I thought was coming from the roof, after inspection it was discovered that one of the rake boards had blown off. Michael reinstalled it with no hesitation and NO CHARGE saving me a couple hundred dollars. Just that kind gesture has earned Maryland Shingle a customer for life!!!!!!

Maryland Shingle had completely replaced the shingles on our roof 10 years ago and did an excellent job. Recently, a tree fell on the garage resulting in holes in the roof and the damage to the siding. Maryland Shingle accurately evaluated what was needed and their cost was within line of the insurance company payment. I was very pleased with their timing in making the repairs and the quality of the repairs.

Maryland Shingle replaced our roof and we couldnt be happier! They answered all our questions, did the job quickly and cleaned-up like it was their own home. I had used them a few years ago to replace all the windows in my house and was extremely happy with the job they did. I called them again for my new roof and again, they provided top-notch service. I wouldnt use anyone else.

Maryland Shingle did a wonderful job re-shingling our roof. Their written contract was very specific and professional. They were very polite on the phone and answered email questions promptly. There was absolutely no sales pressure. They finished the roof of our townhouse in one day and did a great job cleaning up. We highly recommend them!
