I had a deeply disappointing experience with AHC Inc. The endorsement of this contractor along with positive reviews posted on the ServiceMagic web site, the charisma of Joshua -the AHC sales rep - made us decide on trusting this company to remodel my home. In early March I entered a contract with AHC to have the roof and gutters replaced, cap the fascia boards after replacing any rotten wood. The execution price was greater then other bids, never the less we agreed to pay more since the sales rep insisted that AHS delivers impeccable quality. To prove the point he inserted in both the roofing and gutter contracts a line item stating: "Job to be completed to 100% satisfaction of the customer". During the execution phase reality started to emerge. Contrary to the pre sales promise, AHS had no project manager on-site, and communication with the staff was a challenge. Steve the owner was difficult to reach and he had no intention to assume the project management role, or delegate one of his staff members. While replacing the shingles on my bay windows, the roofer broke the siding. Despite this and the absolutely despicable look of bay window roofs, I made the payment assured by Steve that everything will be corrected to our satisfaction. Since our house is 18 years old and a matching siding was not to be found, we had no choice but to accept yet another contract with AHC for siding this time. The third project was delayed but eventually completed with sloppy errors, just like the first two. J-channels around the main windows installed from two pieces instead of one as they originally were, and more. During this stage we discovered rotten wood that was capped over during the second project, inches wide gaps between the plywood replaced on the roof in the first project, gutters licking and overflowing etc. Quite surprisingly for a home repair contractor AHC lacks carpenters. At the completion of the third project I presented a list of remediation requests to Steve who came to my residence for the final walk through. He agreed to fix everything in the list I handed him. Steve went on vacation and deployed an associate to complete the work. One day while Steve was on vacation a gentleman showed up just to let me know that he could not do anything. Upon return from vacation Steve called me once to find the status, promised to gat back to me with a plan but never did. He does not respond to my letters or return my calls. I approached Ken, the vice president, who was very kind and professional when I met him, but quickly dropped the ball, just as Steve did. The cost of the three projects was shy of 30 K. I honored most of that amount hoping the AHC will stick to their side of the deal, but I was wrong. Think twice, if you plan to conduct business with AHC Inc.

Last Update, I thought the owner Steve would show great customer care and rectify the situation. I had to be the one constantly calling him and when he reached back, he informed me that the door actually cost 3 times more that the quote John gave, therefore it cannot be done. I dont know if I am the only one with a bad experience with them since I see they have a high rating on google, but this company is unprofessional and do not know what they are doing. stay away. Update****, I called the company the next day and asked to speak to the person in charge. He was shocked to know that the employee could treat me in such way. He wants me to work with me moving forwards and is working on rectifying the problem. But for being such a great owner and treating me as a customer well, I am updating my rating and I will update on how it goes moving forward. I do not know where to begin but I had to take the time to write this review to warn you guys. I called American Home contractor for an estimate on a front entry door. John Roda arrived and went through the sample with me, took his measurements and gave me an estimate. After thinking about his offer, I called a few days later to announce my acceptance. As were going through the handles that I wanted, he tells me that unfortunately, the door cannot be replaced without replacing the transom (at an additional cost). I asked him how come he didnt say that before and he said that "he did not know that it needed to". Once I agreed, he send me a contract and as Im reviewing it, he calls me and tells me that the price will have to go up because he did not realized that the current size of the sidelights were going to cost more. I told him that it was not acceptable to keep increasing the price after giving me an estimate and he proceeded to say that I can look elsewhere and thats the best he can do, that hes just not familiar with doors and that he only did one estimate for one door last year. Now, why would a company send me someone that do not know what they are doing. Although, he made his mistake, he was not willing to work with me and his tone completely changed in the end. I am so disappointed by this company. Customer service was not great for me and beware that the estimate that you get from them, will not be accurate at allllll. I did get a roof tune up with them and that went really well. I am only telling my bad experience with John.

This company emulates old fashion values of honesty and integrity! Foreign words nowadays when it comes to alot business practices. I hd a previous company come out to perform a chimney cleaning. This company said my chimney was detaching fromy home and was causes major leakage. They quoted me ridiculously, absurd price saying that since i "was a loyal, longtime customer" theyd knock 10% off if i signed right away. I asked that they send me the pics of the damage and NEVER got them. I prayed a lot each time it rained - thinking of the leaks, the repair cost, and if my chimney would fall away at any moment. God heard my cry because through a referral, i contacted American Home Contractors. I wanted their $149 Roof Tune-up. Mr. Howard S. came out. He check my entire attic, took pics, he covered the roof, gutters and surrounding compnents and then he showed to me as he explained that my.Chimney is fine save for minor sealant erosion. He fuether explained that my old Directv satellite and the way it had been installed was the cause of a leak. He scaled the roof, performed those repairs, took after pictures - all included in that same $149 cost! More importantly Mr. Howard proved to be professional, courteous, and straight forward. He didnt mind answering my myriad of questions as i tagged along and gave detailed advice on how to better upkeep my roof material and attic insulation. He said my roof was not in great shape but that it had some years left. He even told me that with my permisskon ALL the before AND after pics would be emailed to me. Now those other unsavory companies would have insisted on major repairs and money for nonexistent issues. I thank God that companies like American Home Contractors are still around and that he sent their informationy way! I will refer them to ANYONE WHO ASKS!

American Home Contractor Inc is the best and the most reliable contractor. After I searched for good contractors through website and read many customer reviews, I was surprised to discover that among so many customer reviewers; almost 100% of them give out American Home Contractors very positive reviews and recommendations. On Oct 30 2016, I picked up my phone and called the company for a free estimate. The appointment was scheduled on 10/31/16 at 11:30pm. Joseua Dunevant, a project coordinator, came to my house before 11:30am. He inspected my roof and gave me the estimate cost to replace my roof. He also showed me the roofs in the neighbor, which he served 10years ago. He is very friendly, honest, professional and acknowledgeable. After comparing several other contractors, I decide to use American Home Contractor, Inc. because I trust Joshua. I asked for the installment time to be set within two weeks before my daughter was married. Joshua helped me to set up the time on Tuesday (Nov15), two days before my daughter’s wedding ceremony. On Tuesday, his crew arrived very early. The crew was polite, working hard, and clean. They finished the job at the same day. Jeseua came twice to inspect the job to make sure the quality of the roof project. He climbed up the roof to check every corner and talked to the roof workers to ensure to meet my need. I am glad to see the good result of the roof. I feel I am lucky to find such a good contractor. My daughter went home and told me that she likes my roof, very pretty and quality. I highly recommend this contractor. I haven’t seen any other contractor who provides such thoroughly great customer service, from the start of contract through the end of the project. American Home Contractor is worthy to hire and trust. Joshua is an excellent project coordinator.
