I was a passenger one saturday on the "Eyreliner to NYC" and I wish I had stayed home. After arriving at the designated time, we waited for other passengers to show up. Two younger kids 16-18, arrived at 5 minutes prior to 6:00. Departure time was scheduled at 6:00 and the lady assisting the driver in checking in passengers felt the need to berate them very rudely in front of everyone else. After making two more stops to acquire passengers, we began our journey to NYC. The driver who never introduced himself, chose a movie and turned it on without asking passengers, and only stopped so he could go to the bathroom. Several of us needed to stretch our legs, and I needed to walk around because of a bad back. On the return trip, the driver told us that morning that the bus would be leaving at 6:30. Everyone boarded and he did a very sloppy job of counting everyone and left at 6:25 pm. The two kids were not on board and had to run and knock on the door window while the bus was moving to get his attention. After they boarded he rudely called them out for being "late" even though they werent and it was his job to make sure everyone was on board. Again on the return trip, no stops, and the video equipment was not working properly. I have traveled with Eyre before, and have had a lot better service. I am just chalking this up to a bad day on the drivers part. Well worth the money for not having to drive in NYC, stopping at gas stations and such. Like I said, riders beware, and ride at your own discretion!!

Eyre Bus, Tour & Travel delivered 70+ UnitedHealthcare volunteers to our Cafeteria Makeover project at Bruce-Monroe Elementary School at Park View in Washington DC last week. Navigating the traffic and challenging street geography is challenging for a car, but Eyres bus driver was able to pick up and drop off the volunteers safely and on time. This insured that we were able to finish all of the work necessary to complete the transformation of the cafeteria and parent center in time for the students first day of school. Our organization, The Heart of America Foundation, transforms educational spaces and delivers resources (books/technology) in under served schools all across the country. The success of our work depends on great partners and vendors, like Eyre. Thank you, Matt and the Eyre team! We couldnt have done it without you:)

unfortunately after returning from a recent trip to cape cod, most seating was so cramped on the bus and leg room was non-existent that i was extremely disappointed in Eyre I do not understand why such a bus was used on such a long trip. The passengers were told the other bus had "mechanical problems" but-- REALLY-- Eyre couldnt you do better than this considering what we paid you for this trip. Will seriously reconsider ever taking a long trip on Eyre again. As buses go -- Greyhound is much, much better when compared to Eyres cramped seating. Also the driver was very unfriendly and did not offer to help people who were disembarking from the bus-- not good for either the passenger and most of all Eyre!!! I smell a lawsuit!

We used Eyre for our daughters weeding to transport the wedding party and guests from the hotel to the Wedding venue and back. We were provided the name and cell phone number for our driver a few days before our event. Our driver, Ken, was on time and was there whenever we needed him. He took multiple trips between the wedding venue and the hotel including one for two VIPs, the 18 month old ring bearer and 4 year old flower girl, to return to the hotel early with the babysitter. The bus was new and clean. The booking and payment process was professional and easy. We really appreciate everything and will definitely use Eyre again. Thank you for everything.

For the past two years Eyre has assisted our burgeoning cycling fundraiser, Cycle for STEM, by donating a free ride to our starting point in Pittsburgh, PA. I cannot say enough about how much their support is appreciated. The drivers, both this year and last, have been extremely helpful, happy, and safe on the road. The coaches that Eyre donated were equally impressive. We felt like rock-stars heading to a show on our tour bus with couches, TVs, fridge, plus a mirrored back wall! The trip up has been a perfect way to relax before jumping on our bikes for the 335mile ride back to DC. Will definitely be returning to Eyre with any future coach/bus needs.

Cape Cod and Eyre’s – what a great combination!! We just came back from a trip to Cape Cod on Eyres and we had a great time. Everything from Ellen Kilby, our Eyre’s guide, to the food, itinerary, bus (very clean), bus driver (friendly, excellent driver), entertainment, local tour guide in Hyannis, and our traveling companions, was great. Eyre’s does a great job of putting together a trip that is all inclusive. Since we had never been to Cape Cod, it was nice not to have to try to figure out where to go and what to see – they took care of everything. We will definitely be traveling with Eyre’s again. Thanks for a great trip!

When we asked Eyre Bus to get our group of cyclist from Fairfax, VA to Pittsburgh, PA with less than a week’s notice they had not problem stepping up. When we saw the “Party Bus” on Sunday morning everyone was impressed and excited. We had a smooth and quick trip to Pittsburgh. Everyone was very comfortable and able to move around. We were able to each lunch on the bus, which saved us some time. We even hooked up a PlayStation to one of the TV’s. The driver was very friendly and professional. All in all, it was a great experience and everyone enjoyed the trip. Thanks, Eyre!

Eyre Bus has been a presence in Columbia ever since we moved here in 1980. They have a distinguished record for helping this community connect to DC and Baltimore! Their buses, always spotlessly clean, their friendly drivers and reliable service have been a positive feature in our city. This spring our company chartered Eyres executive coach for a fun filled trip to DC and we had a great time! the driver was very friendly, a true host - and the bus was very comfortable and made the ride itself an unexpected highlight of our trip!

A somewhat good companey. had a few problems sith them though. We rented 4 buses and all 4 broke down during are charter. the one broke down in the middle of DC then the others would not start in th morning. Then on the way home the bus died in the midddle of the highway. I would say they are a reliable companey but safftey has somthing to be desiered. the drivers were excellent and nice though on another note. they also showed in a timely fashion which made matters better regardless of the technical difficulties they had.

This past week I participated in a tour of 3 Loudoun County Virginia wineries hosted by Eyre Bus Services. Immediately upon arriving at the departure location, I was impressed with how friendly and service oriented each and every Eyre employee was. Throughout the day this level of services continued to be exceptional. I will recommend Eyre Bus Service to my friends and family. I’m looking forward to our next trip.
