READ THROUGH, YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID. I signed up for a membership at this location. It was a 1 year membership for a one time payment of $99. My experience was horrible to say the least. On my very first day, when I showed up for first orientation I was 10 minutes late because the person who gave me the appointment told me that I had to be there BETWEEN 2 and 230, she did not say I had to be there exactly at 2. So the girl that was at the customer service counter when I arrived was very rude to me and made me feel like I made it late on purpose because "an appointment time is not something you can misunderstand". Then, another person took me to my personal trainer. When I was done with my program he took me to the service counter again and he handed my chart to the rude girl and she refused to put it in the system because I was not on time and she insisted that I needed to reschedule. I sent Jimmy Vagnier, the general manager, an email about this incident and other concerns and he just defended the situation saying that "these two employees no longer work here". No apology was given for the incident. In the same email, I was requesting a refund for $80 since I did not want to continue going to the gym first, for the situation I mentioned above and second, because I started having issues with my knees since I have arthritis. I explained to him that even the exercises that were design considering my problem it was hurting my knees and they were getting swollen. I could not do anything but walk 20 minutes on the treadmill. I know I signed up for a non-refundable membership but I also know, being a manger of a store myself, that when you want to help you can do it regardless of policies. I asked him kindly to please refund me some of the money, even offering him medical record as proof, but he refused to do it. He said I needed to call an 800 number which I called and was told that they have nothing to do in that decision, that it is entirely up to the manager. I also asked Jimmy to forward the email to his regional manager and he said he would but I never heard from them. So, you all should know that THESE ARE NOT THE KIND OF PEOPLE WHO WOULD CARE ABOUT YOU, they only care about locking you in in a membership and get your money. If for instance (hopefully not), you fall down and break your leg or arm and you can no longer attend the gym they will not care and YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP. If you have a bad experience with an employee and you dont feel comfortable going to the gym anymore, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP. If you move and the gym is too far, guess what? Jimmy Vagnier WILL NOT CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP! So think about before you start giving money to people who only see you as a blank check and pretend to care, but they really dont.

Horrible experience. My husband was stationed at Meade - we moved and I tried to transfer my membership but was told that I was "too new" to do so (I had already had it for 5 months). Fine. Well now I want to just cancel it in general and I have called over 7 times to try and do so. Each time I am given a different answer. More recently, today, I was told that I have to send a certified letter and pay a cancellation fee for it being under a year old - which I think is insane considering I live at an inconvenient location to reach a Planet Fitness. I now am in the State of Alabama, stuck with a membership that I will gladly pay the $58 to get out of and NEVER deal with Planet Fitness again. I have already told friends/family about this occurrence and they have decided to go elsewhere also. The fact that you are insensitive to Military and DoD families is a huge turnoff.

This workout facility is great for anyone on any schedule as they are open 24/7. Lots of brand new cardio equipment (June 2016) and just the right amount of dumb bells/barbells* for all types of free weight exercises. *Note: peak weight is 60 lbs. Also 3 Smith Machines to do an array of assisted/controlled lifting workouts. This drastically reduces any chance of working out stationary muscle control. The facility is very clean and the staff always greets you with a smile, unless theyre talking to each other and happen to miss you. They have a great way of keeping their members by offering free pizza every first Monday of every month. Not to mention, regular and grape flavored Tootsie Rolls. Dig in and come back to work it off next month! :)

Place is a jokeeee. The manager came and talked to me once because I was exhaling too loudly. Not grunting, or yelling, literally because I was breathing out too loud. Also the majority of the people that work there including their trainer are over weight. The whole free pizza and bagels thing is just a good business model for them... Keeps ya coming back. Also the straw that broke the camels back was I asked why there was no scale in the locker room to track performance and they said that was part of their no gym intimidation policy. Give me a break... No one is going to be standing over the scale when youre on it. Then another employee told me the owner is just to cheap. This place sucks.

This location offers some basic cardio machines and weights but hasnt been updated like other locations, so its still lacking a stretching/warm-up area and a few other things I enjoy using at Planet Fitness. The staff here are wonderful, but the patrons dont seem to pick up after themselves or care about the upkeep of this gym. I found candy wrappers and bottle caps in the cup holders of several machines and watched more than one patron walk away from a machine without wiping it down when they were finished.

Very clean gym with a lot of machines. Gets busy M-W evenings (as expected), but you still dont usually have to wait for a machine. Large space. Several large TVs. Theyve only been there since November 2010 so everything is new. Friendly staff. Exceptional value for the money. It doesnt have absolutely everything (swimming pools, basketball courts, etc.) but for only $20/month its definitely worth it.

~Edited Review~ My original statement still stands: Nice energy, top of the line equipment, and great membership prices. However I am bumping my review down to 3 stars because the facility isnt the best kept. By no means is it disgustingly dirty but the bathrooms could be maintained better, as could the showers. They need more attention than they are being given as far as cleanliness.

Excellent facility for primarily cardio based workouts. It is one of the few gyms Ive ever been to that also smells nice and remains clean....even in the locker rooms. Youd be hard-pressed to find a more affordable option that offers the same benefits (tanning, massage chairs, etc). That being said, this isnt a gym for someone looking to use a lot of barbell/dumbbell training. 4/5

This facility is well maintained and clean. There is plenty of cardio equipment available even during peak hours. There is also a large variety of free weights and weight machines for strength training. The staff is friendly and the fitness coach is knowledgeable and offers a large number of fitness classes (targeted and whole body).
